Nice car tour that I enjoy it. Very basic car and easy to use. One of my relatives have this one in 2016 E trim as well. But it is quite different here in Thailand. All trim in Thailand get CVT and 1.2 l engine which very eco and powerful. Interior quite different as well. The car is cheap, but it drive very good, and interior very roomy. Thank you.
In indonesia, its also called almera, and its used for taxis, but they stopped using almera cause they said it dosent have good fuel consumption, is that true?
Great video as always! Very detailed explanation on all the functions of the car. I just wanted to point out that the Almere takes the award for being one of the ugliest, if not the ugliest car in production. It’s basically a big metal box with wheels and outdated technology. There is nothing to love about this car, and it handles worse than a fully loaded minivan. I hate to say this but if you’re looking to get a car to get from point A to point B, I would suggest you to look elsewhere. There is still a misconception that Japanese or German or even Korean cars are better built compared to Proton and Perodua but this car proves that wrong. There are rattles coming from everywhere inside the cabin and the cheap plastic cracks and peels when parked under the hot sun for a week. I recall an incident during my college years when me and a few buddies wanted to go clubbing and one of the boys just got an Almera from his parents as a birthday surprise. After arguing about whether or not we should be arriving in that huge pile of junk, we decided to get a Grab instead 😂. It was shameful to arrive at a prestigious nightclub in a boat to be honest

The transmission isn't an automatic, but a CVT.
It is a 4-speed automatic for Malaysia.

Hazman reliability will be much better on the almera since Proton still makes cheap feeling cars.

Haha... There are cars out there that still don't have an airbag. Thank goodness all cars on sale in Malaysia have at least an airbag.
But according to Transport Minister at 2012, new car must have at least two frontal airbags by 1 January 2012. How can Almera get through this?
That ruling was actually for at least one driver's airbag, not two front airbags.
Only a driver side airbag seriously proton persona better at least 2 airbags

I really hate the Almera. Its just some car, no personality and soul. Its also way too basic and cheaply equipped across the entire range.
