Hi.. I’m KC’s niece and I just wanted to say I love this! This one of my favorite songs by him!
Your uncle is one of the sound tracks of my youth he's a national treasure
Is he as sweet as he seems?
Hey!!!! KC is everything!!!! I’m from Miami, lived in Hialeah for a bit and grew up listening to KC. So awesome you are his his niece
By the way, your uncle is everything!
Always a Favorite Group and Song.....of mine. Very Very Very Good. GREAT to Dance to.
This is why everyone was dancing and smiling in the 70’s and rocking in the 80’s. Then it seems like everyone got...depressed- and stayed that way. We need music like this again. It brought everyone together. It was a different world. I miss it. ❤️
Ain't that the truth ! I'm glad that was the time I grew up in, best music, fun times! Everyone's so angry now!
I miss the 70s every time on the radio
@@ShoreTime me to, so glad i still have all my 70's albums
"Keep It Coming Love", "Get Down Tonight", "That's the Way (I Like It), "Boogie Shoes"
Yes yes they are all amazing!!!
Boogie shooes, definitely!
@@moonshaddow55 yes yes i agree i request this one last week.. hope he does it
All these!!!
"Sound Your Funky Horn"
I remember wearing bellbottoms, dancing to this song. And we didn't care what color the band members were, nor what colors our dance partners where.
Damned straight!
Straight up!
Right on
Yup
I still wear bell bottoms
🔥🌞🔥🌞🔥🌞🔥🌞🔥
We need more music like this...we need more fun in the world.
We need more FUNK in the world!
Ya dam right....
Much fun, much luv!
@@melissainge218 you got that funkin right!
Amén!
Amen to that!
KC is actually a trained dancer as well, live shows he plays a standing piano, so they'd do a solo break and he'd be dancing all over the stage with the backup girls. He still tours, maybe not right now, but it's a very entertaining show, which i didnt expect. I know this because my uncle did live sound for him for 2-3 years recently. Super nice guy, the band kicks ass.
Thanks for sharing. I’d love to see him live, even at this stage.
@@leesher1845 I saw him live in Feb 2019, and was literally astonished how good the show was. I wasn't expecting a lot and it was very entertaining.
He was so adorable! Yikes!
It’s Funking Brilliant
Ooooh, I like that, too!
That’s a good one.
Should try White Zimbie's ( Rob Zombie's band from the 90's) version
You waana get blown away by another Floridian? The greatest bass player in the world and the inventor of electric fretless bass - Jaco Pastorius. So many songs and genres. Maybe start out with his "I shot the sheriff" cover.
That's the one.
This was a time where people spoke of peace and love.
exactly
I'm only 34... Way to young to be alive during the 70's... But I miss fun music like this that wasn't vulgar. Everyone could listen to it and party.
Dude they had a captive audience in the '70s man. Created a lot of the sounds
We listen to today..those days there were and handful of mega bands, but they were all very good.. They didn't have any cell phones, electronics no video games other than the arcade games. No competition, FM radio baby the age of 8 tracks and vinyl that's the way it was!
P.S. we went and they went (bands) for the main reason!!! The music!
Oh they were plenty vulgar, they just hid it with euphemisms like "boogie" ;)
I'm 38 and same.
I lived it honey, nobody but us Baby Boomers had the best times with our music!
You are the BEST couch dancer! 🔥💓
Say what you want to about disco but it brought the black and white communities together if only for a little while. You know we was jammin on this at the skating rink when i was in middle school.
Correct. Good music, good times. Your statement is the reason they "squashed" disco.
Yes! Lol. I am 52 and all colors were out there a the rink on Fri/Sat nights. I was probably 8 1/2 or 9 years old and my sister was 11/ 12. My mom dropped us off at the skating rink on a Friday night around 7 p.m. and when she would get back up there at 10 she would pay the extra $2 to let us stay till midnight.
@@davidleeroth784 53 here and about the same for me but my sister was 4 years younger than me.
KC and the Sunshine Band ❤️ You will not be able to sit down after hearing this . That Band was killin it!
More KC, please! Those dimples! That smile! There are many songs from him and The Sunshine Band.
So FINE! RT??🔥 😍
One of the best bands from the disco era. I've seen them in concert many times. Too much fun 😁
@@allisonyoung4007 he was prime until he screwed it all up with a bad face lift and a few other tweaks. Idk why any man would have a face lift, their skin ages very well
My mom listened to KC and the Sunshine band when I was a little girl, and I've Loved them ever since
Yes he did have cute dimples 😆 Super funky and great to dance to back then. Happy days
You'd never see this today... The sheer focus on the rest of the band was unbelievable. Today, it's "Me, me, me" ... Look at the star on stage.
This isn't my genre of choice, but every one of those artists left the smell of funk in that room and KC made sure they were all recognized. Simply, awesome and *Un-Funking-Believable* (There's your t-shirt Mr.V... No charge). ;-)
WoOhOo!
In the late 70s are used to go to the rollerskating rink every weekend. You have now opened a rabbit hole of KC and the sunshine band and disco! You will love every song he did!! More KC and the sunshine band
Loved rollerskating to the tunes... same here mid to late 70's... place to meet guys too!
the sunshine band, parliament and james brown kept us all in shape!
Tiffanys Roller Skating rink in Puyallup, Washington every Friday and Saturday night! Gads... are we aging ourselves or what...LOL
Yes this and "My Sharona" will always be rollerskating songs.
I did that also
Your argument with Siri, lol! You were all, "EAT THE CAKE, ANNA MAE!!!"
"It's Funking Brilliant "
Get Down Tonight & Thats the way, I like it.
There's your catch phrase. That's gold.
Uh hu!! Un. huh
Hell to the Yes 😁👋👋👋
Another vote for "That's the Way I Like It "
@@BlackiePawless I can deck the whole fam at Christmas in that 🎄🎄🎄
KC was 70’s but he can still be listened to now and GET YOU ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!❤❤❤❤
Bust out the roller skates😜
Mine had bright pink Poms!😀🙋
Play Shake Your Booty
Covid brought 'em back in the groove. It's a thing again
Mine might still bark wood, on crossovers
Oh wow that comment just brought back memories of back in the day! School friend’s birthday party we all saw Xanadu at the cinema then went to the roller rink and skated the afternoon away to KC. Happy days! 🕺🏻😃💃🏼
I never comment on RUclips vids but I just wanted to say “you’re my favorite reaction videos on here...been going through some health issues, lost my job and struggling with depression...but your videos have helped me immensely to cope. Love you Mr Video 💕 love twisting one up, putting it in the air with you and watching your channel. Keep it uppppp!!”
Hope things have gotten better
I can relate. Agree totally. Sending you Peace and Love vibes ❤️
My love is going out to you both, with one twisted in my hand!
😮 OMG NOW THIS WAS AND STILL IS ONE OF MY MOM’S JAMS IN THE 70’s .... LORD HAVE MERCY!!!! ITS A FUN SONG THOUGH 🤩😍🦋
Yep 😂🥰
Fantastic music and they were one of the most amazing live acts ever. Everyone dances. Everyone sings. On stage or in the crowd, everybody knows all the words and feels free to shake their ass. Truly a wonderful time.
I only know about disco through my mom, she loves it!!! I also have a crush on KC, he is smiling through this whole video with such a pretty smile, you know he is loving what he is doing at this moment 😊❤️
KC & The Sunshine Band - Please Don't Go
The best
The reaction is priceless. Just think your parents and grandparents rocked out to KC and the Sunshine Band. Don’t stop there. Keep going with their other great hits.
Ok, I 54 and I think I just threw everything out of whack dancing to this... Thanks, dude... Nope, I'm good cause I just remembered how - his Shake your booty, went (and sounded dang near the same as this) and I'm good...
And, yep, there a lot of songs and titles from the 70's with "funk-y" to choose from... Yes, I'm talking Parliament - before - during and after George Clinton and his Atomic Dog...
😂😂😂😂 be carful
😂😂😂😂 the argument with Siri is priceless 😂😂😂😂
I vote for “Let’s FUNK it up!”
That too!
Me too
that's a great one too!
This song HITS. Used to listen to this with my kitchen mates at my cook job. The memories ❤️
Those days were fun in the Clubs...
OMG you are killing me today! Anybody who hears that song and doesn’t move is stupid. You are making my stomach hurt, I can’t stop laughing
They used to be a session band for other artists and than decided to do their own music 🎶. Thank God for that. 🕺
KC and the Sunshine Band were the first band I’d ever seen who had a choreographed horn section. You should look up the Ohio Players. There’s a couple of good live performances of them on the Midnight Special. “Fire” is my fav, but “Love Rollercoaster” is a classic.
Skin Tight!!!!
DUDE! How you aint got 500k subs is BEYOND me!!
Right?! Love him!! ❤️
I agree. But I think he is definitely on his way!!
Because we like him!
Patients. Hasnt up a year yet.he will blow up .there's a lot blazers out there now more than ever .and well like to have bud to blaze one up with and have a laugh. Patients.
@@gordonbezanson4710 completely agree !!!
My favorite disco band, this group is really tight and when this was played in clubs around the world the people got on the floor.
You should really check out Sly and the Family Stone and Parliament Funkadelic for the REAL & TRUE FUNK!!!! ✌️💗😊
Yaaas
Absolutely!
Yes and yes!
DEFINITELY.
More votes for Parliament Funkadelic and Sly and the Family Stone
Florida was very proud of our KC & the Sunshine Band. 🥰
“Get Down Tonight”. Killer song. But one of the greatest bands from the 70s is The Ohio Players. “Fire”, Love Rollercoaster, Skin Tight, so many.
I grew up to this music !! It’s hard to beat 70’s music, it lifted people up and made them wanna dance, sing and even skate to songs like this. I guarantee you that this video made people smile, get up and dance & sing! The music was great back then and there was always good times to be had ! Thanks for doing this one 🤗
You're playing all my 70's and 80's songs now
❤️
Beatles refused to play in front of segregated audience in 1964 - what a wonderful time it must have been back then.
I loved this reaction. Funk and disco were bleeding into each other. Some of the best music was in the 70’s.
I remember seeing KC & the Sunshine Band somewhere around 1980 - standing right down front. (Who let's 11 year olds go to concerts??)
Different times 💗
I was 10, my mom took me to zztop and later,Genesis. Some of my best memories still.
@@tlucas9798 no parents. Just me and my bestie.
Lucky! My first concert was the Bee Gees when I was 8, 1978. My mom took me. Second was Andy Gibb, either the same year or the next, that time my mom brought my bff too. We loved KC but never saw him.
I was 12 in 1975...lStarted going to concerts. Parents had no interest ......of course it was different times....
Every song back in those days was made to make ppl dance / funk rock soul etc
You really uplift a lot of people. Have you done" hold your head up" by Argent
Oh yes! Do that one too. Getting all excited now lol
Please do!! It's a great song!
Omg, are you kidding me, KC, he the man, takes me to the disco days, when everyone would Shake, Shake, Shake, in My Boogie Shoes and this track, lm your boogie man, Yeah Thankyou for your Music, Legendary. 💃❤️
Keep It Comin' Love is another great song from them.
I know I'm a little to the game and sorry bout that.
Not sure how your funk apparel is going, but I had a couple suggestions to add if they haven't been already...
GONNA FUNK YOU UP
FUNKING THE NIGHT AWAY
GET YOUR FUNK ON
LET'S FUNKY DOWN
FUNKING'S BACK & WHERE IT'S AT!
LET'S HAVE SOME FUNKY FUN!
KC and the Sunshine Band were soul, rock, pop and awesome!!!
Ah...you make me smile...😃. Cant be in a bad mood after one of your reactions. Bless you...😃
Taking be back down memory lane.
Back when the Funk was groovy and a whole lots of clean fun.
I graduated from high school in 1973.
I was a hard rocker back then, Humble Pie Ten Years After Deep Purple the like. But out at the clubs wanting ladies it was KC or Bee Gees all night, if you know what I mean brother.
Humble Pie.... Black Coffee!!!! HYea
Ten Years After!!!!!
Right as rain and if you couldnt dance, you had no chance.
@@dahink2593 Indeed!
Did you also skate to the Bay City Rollers.
KC & The Sunshine Band were IT back in the day!! Brings me back to my skating days!!!!!!! DO MORE OF THEIR STUFF!!!
This song never fails to take me back to the skating ring when I was 14 back in the 70s. A good time was had by all.
Yes! Fri nights skate! All skate!
Just the other day, something triggered my memory of seeing this band at Ford Auditorium in the D, 1975. Now, you've done it again!Funktastic!
Ahhh..the 70's...my teenage years,...when everyone played in the sand box together,..👍❤
Lol love your conversation with Siri!! :'D
😝💯❣️
Lol, whenever I call for my daughter Sarah, Siri answers. Nosy bitch.
😂🤣♨️
Mr. VIDEO I simply love you man!!! I am 67 and grew up with all this disco you play..loved it then, love it now...but, YOU have made me enjoy it all again anew!!! Thank you, you keep me laughing with you!!! Huggggs!!
I tell off the Google assistant the same way " No one's talking to YOU !" :DD
THIS... this right here, sir... is why you're my favorite.
Same! He always makes me smile when I don't want to.
Laurie: "It ... it was the Boogeyman!"
Dr. Loomis: "Yes. Yes, I'm afraid it was."
KC and the Sunshine Band...great music at the roller rink!! So much fun to skate to back then!! xoxo
This was the first concert I saw that I can remember. It was them and Diana Ross. 1977 at the Ohio State Fair, back in the time when you used to pay one inclusive price for all the rides and shows, so the only thing you spent money on was food (the amazing fresh made ice cream from the dairy barn) and either Wendy's or Bob Evans for dinner and games and silly stuff. Ohio State fair is one of the best. They concert was the bomb. "Shake Your Booty" and "Boogie Shoes" was one of my early 45's I listened to a lot as a kid. I was 7 years old.
Can't tell you how much I trip on you dancing! Love it!
It's brilliant!
Love them! Also Kool and The Gang.."Get Down on it" In the Disco at 18. Everyone was on the dance floor.
We had a lot of good music back in the day !! And KC and The Sunshine Band were off the charts !! These guys flat out jammed !! Glad I was there when they hit the clubs !! 🤘
I'm not letting Siri in my home.
None of them in my home
Same!
Siri is a smart ass too. I don't like her.😑
😝🤣😁🤘❣️
Yep 😂😉🥰
We Love this band and his bell bottoms !!! KC and the Sunshine Band were awesome in the 1970s !!! 😘🥰👌😁☺😃 Love your videos ! So funny !!!❤💛💚💙💜 Kansas City 💋💋💋
Omg😂😂😂you crack me up! Come on Mr Video Strutt Your Stuff👌I love K.C they are fab😄
Born in 1971, so I grew up on this music. KC, Kool & the Gang, The Tramps, Bee Gees. This is my childhood.
Oh, and I vote for the "UnFunkingBelievable!" 💖🌠💖
This song just gets you MOVING!!! YESS!!
"Do a Little Dance" and "Boogie Shoes" are two really great songs from them! Disco-tastic, but still fun and a great groove!
This is the best funk/disco band . I had the biggest crush on KC. The 70s was awesome.
LOVE KC & the Sunshine band 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This was our disco go to back in the 70’s 💕💕💕 Boogie Shoes!!! That has to be next!!! Wears you out don’t it?
Yes back in the great 1970s! Back when we were all together at the shows at the concert practicing our music together! Good times good times
When u gotta boogie, You Gotta Boogie!
I saw them at a little country fair in 1976, I was 11 and never seen anything like it. I fell in love!!! My parents bought their album after the show. They were so good
React to KC “That’s the Way I Like It” and “Get Down Tonight”
Always upbeat and groovin. KC and the Sunshine Band made alot of us happy in the 70s.
Boogie Shoes is a must! It's the B side to Shake Your Booty.I still have mine from when I was 5. 1976 was a great year.
❤️
My personal favorite. Used it in that movie Kingsmen
We're the same age! 1971!
Welcome to Disco lol
Hell Yeah ‼
@Tim Billings I agree, I still have my disco sucks tee shirt! But I'm not hating lmao
@Tim Billings yes I do, I was 13 when disco was big, so I was 17 in 1980 ,it was a generation thing ,but I do like mr. video and give him the like, he does play a lot of variety of music 👍
You didn't stop until you was dripping wet from sweat. Disco Music 🎶.
Remember the song Disco Duck
nice pick! i don't usually care for stopping in reactions, but this was an exception... Disco! I don't even know where to start with KC and the shunsine band when it comes to analyzing their terrific sound, there are so many elements. you're on a great track of musical discovery.
UN-FUNKING-BELIEVABLE!! I CALLED IT! Told y'all the merch was comin' Lol.
To be honest I have watched this reaction at least 20 times! I FUNKING Love it! You bring a smile to my face and make me laugh! I’ve started watching it every morning to get a good smile and to start getting my FUNK on!
Right about now in 1975 I’d be getting all dolled up to go boogie down at the clubs. I liked TOP - Bump City song a lot too
I had so much fun last time I watched this I had to come back and watch you react to this again! You're awesome reaction gets me every time I watch! Thank you for making my day!
Lmfao it’s funny how Siri hears u just fine when she wants too. Just sayin 😂
I love your spontaneous break outs in chair dancing!
How about "I'ma funk you up" for a shirt?
Good one 🙌
I love it. t's brilliant!
"Siri, you think you slick?!" LOL Best line I've heard in 2020 ^__^
It's Funking Brilliant!
The sound of the horns, drums, tambourine and piano REAL INSTRUMENTS gives me chills & thrills
There's actually a song called "Get the Funk Out" from Extreme
Thank you Mr.Video! I Love KC & Sunshine Band! It was SO MUCH FUN growing up in the 70's! I was a tween when this song came out, and I loved dancing on roller skates to it 🤩
Keep it Comin' Love or Boogie Shoes
This is one of the reasons every was thinner back then...we were dancing!!
How about doing "Thats the way I like it", also by KC and the Sunshine Band. He has 3 or 4 songs that get people dancing. Thats the way is probably his most famous.
You are so fun to watch. You look like a blast to hang out with. I enjoy watching your reactions.
Oooh I got one: "I'm All Funked Up" I'd buy it.
I saw KC & The Sunshine Band a few years ago in Atlantic City,NJ and he's still got it!!!
Try “Get Down Tonight”
