+Murp h You should also listen to Jimmy Rushing, the 3rd of the trio of the great Blues shouters as they are often described (although Rushing was more versatile). He sang with Basie for some years but also recorded in smaller groups, often with some Basie sidemen. In fact, I rate him above these two.
