All those great stars, then the blond dancer steals the show. Wow!
No auto tune..no computer tecno..no crazy light show.just raw blues.. nothing to hide behind.best music ever played.
Oh please. To each their own. I love techno just as much as the blues. You are not elevating one genre by putting down another. The down to earth blue has no need for snobs!
This is ridiculously unbelievable,am lost of words.
Wow...So glad to finally get a chance to see this. My grandmother and Helen were very close. She used to tell me about the music documentary that was filmed when they were in Europe in the early '60s. I spotted my grandmother in the crowd of dancers at the end of this clip. I couldn't miss her in the black gown with the spaghetti straps...Oh they were both something else. What an incredible surprise. I love RUclips
How cool is that? 👍😄
@@starsfan6878 - VERY cool
Wow! Thanks for sharing. 👍
Lorenzo Baines , I remember when I saw this for the first time, I just cried and cried, watching a snippet of her in the prime of her life. I miss her so. She always wanted to see it and never did. This was always one of her favorite stories of her time in Europe. It was a big, big deal for her given what was going on back in the US at the time. There are other little music sketches that she participated in as well. (I found them all on DVD) My grandfather was stationed in Germany in the service and told her to just go with Helen and have fun. (Previously, a single photo was all I had documenting their experience) They both talked and reminisced about the good times they had. Something else...

Amazing how life has its own twists and never the Blues was so well explained (or like we say in Portugal... it's Fado!)
Many thank's for sharing!!
Listening to their music is a priviledge but watching them perform is simply pure bliss...
Kasmah Mohamed You are write, the happiness is everywhere.
Well said
wah..rare Kak Mah ni.. minat Blues ka?
These guys know their trade.
If the blues was money I'd be the richest man in town
AMEN
Isn't that the truth!
if I could sing the blues really good id be the richest man around
Sushant Sagar. I'd be the second......
But then you wouldn't know the blues as much!
That performance is so on point that even the fan is in rhythm
T-Bone Walker, Willie Dixon, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee. All-Star indeed. What a band.
No Lights No Speakers No Air-Conditioning No Cables,. Only Blues.
Helen Humes is one of my husband's relatives. It's so awesome to see more people appreciating her music.
I love how she dances on the second jam lol.
A stage full of legendary musicians and artists! Outstanding!
This is so ridiculously unbelievable, I’m lost for words.
Twistin the night away..this is just too good! Folks this is real blues here.
Not much to get excited about it in life anymore... But I can watch this and every time I watch it I get excited all over again.
Still my favorite blues group from 2 years ago when I was living in a balcony. God bless the blues musicians for making beautiful music for tough times.
If I was "of age" in the 50's these are the exact places I would have been hanging out on weekends.
Me and RockNRoll were born the same year!!!!
DAMN, HELEN GOT AN ALL STAR CAST BEHIND HER LEGENDS WILLIE DIXON, MEMPHIS SLIM ON PIANO, EVEN GOT T BONE WALKER WHO JUST MADE THAT GEE TAR TALK, BROWNE & SONNY TERRY ON HARMONICA, DAMN THEY JUKING, REMINDS ME OF VETS INN IN CINCINNATI WITH ALBERT WASHINGTON SINGING & PLAYING & CALDONIA DANCING
They knew how to have fun at that time! I regret to come from the 80's and to witness what the world is becoming...
The Best thing to ever come out of America so much talent so many hits written by Willie and t bone. Memphis Slim. Wow thanks y’all from Canada. All the way from the Delta up Hiway 61 to Chicago Texas too (sorry t bone )
It makes my heart fill with joy to see these magnificent musicians play. They are legends indeed, but seeing them having so much fun making this beautiful music makes me come back here and watch this every now and than, to have my fill.of happiness.

They're the reason I love America for. Such a talented and cool bunch of musicians. Look at the expression on their faces while playing. They're realy enjoying it. Priceless.
Besides the awesome performance, please give an applause for the "two blade ceiling fan"

Show
Deeezzz
this is REAL blues !!!!!!!!!!!
This is insanely epic. When were these giants ever featured together besides this presentation? Amazing to see & hear!!
There were a couple blues/folk festivals in Europe in the '60s that used to pull together all-star blues bands (and a few recordings are floating around on RUclips)... But this lineup is probably the most impressive as far as legends of the blues. I had it on in the background when I first heard it, and when she named the band members, I about fell out of my chair.
I know
I think they couldve got at least another 4 or 5 legends on the same stage. Stella line up !
...this should be put in a time capsule and shot into space so that future generations and aliens know we once had soul.
19 people have lost their minds. This is amazing!!!
Some talented musicians there on stage...!!!
if that ain't a soul shakedown I don't know what is! X
look at helens face, she knew the heavy hitters there, was proud, wow!!!!!! 5:10
I got the Blues and I'm Love'n it!! lol
Blues, don't let me down.... this music invites the soul to healing and transformative inner dimensions-- and somehow fun dimensions beyond the pain!
My GAWD! This song is all soul
THANK YOU! Helen was a very dear friend of mine, and I cannot thank you enough for posting this. A million times, thank you!
I love her voice.
Can't stop smiling, this video makes me happy
MY FAVORITE VIDEO. I LOVE THE BLUES!!!!
Un éclairage discret, un ventilateur qui tourne au ralenti, et des musiciens extraordinaires: quel contraste avec la merde que nous déverse les médias aujourd’hui
Damn. When T-Bone started singing it brought a tear to ma eye
Good Lord, that's quite a lineup.
Absolutely LOVE this! Go figure, I wasn't born until "62"
love it too, . To me this sort of blues is the most genuine music ever created.
this is such a gem! i believe in humanity again!
T-Bone's fast becoming one of my favourite musicians :-)
What's lick he played here ?
Sonny, Brownie, Helen Hume, Willie Dixon, Memphis Slim, T-Bone Walker all together. Kinda sup
erb!
God bless, love black folks, such wonderful spirits !!!
Can it get better than this ????????? What A Lineup !!!!!!!!!!!
This Gal taught me to love jazz and blues ((which I already played on piano and belted out)
Helen and I worked at the same club in the 70s and the Gal put on a whopper of a live show with no ego!!!
White boy singing Super Gal legend’s praises!!!
I love you Helen for so many things! Thanks for opening a beautiful door for me!!!
Thanks!!!
Oh, wow. That's wonderful. How old are you now, if you don't mind me asking?
God bless America 🇺🇸
best backing band ever!
Magstic, blues team meet the keyboards, the blues if money I would be the richest man in town. Music soul bob Marley doed too young, where did I loose my saxaphone
not my favorite tune, but great to see so many legends together. it's also a reminder my country ain't all bad
Some of the defining members of the blues.
The dancers are dope. 😏
Probably the biggest moment in music history
That's it! Greetings from Poland.
Dang! This is Mood lifting and calming at the same time
Wow! McGhee ... Dixon ... Terry ... with her ... whoa, there's some serious heavy hitters playing together! Great video!
You forgot T-bone !
And how about t-bone and memphis huh 😂
You forgot T-Bone Walker. An inspiration to B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix Chuck Berry, and countless others.
love the way that tall chick in blonde wig dances.
Music was so amazing then...
Love how it starts rockin' about the 5:30 mark! Groovy little dance party!
The real dream team.

I have got his album in 1964 and so I had found my way to love the BLUES until today and really further on !!!! But on the LP you cannot find any information about Helen Humes, she was only mentioned inside on page 2. So today I am so lucky listening .....
wow so nice. great band. great jam!!
Thank God for RUclips.. chills down my spine 🎸
Could you just imagine, turning you head, only to find out Willie Dixon is on the left.
This is an all star cast and it shows.
You can hear it too.
That was a hard receipe to come up with.... what a display of talent...
Not only incredible in every way, but also a very strong argument for bringing back the twist.
Haha so genteel it starts, shaking it loose, how can you watch/listen without dancing, reminds me of the best about being human.
I can't stop watching this. The talent on that stage is phenomenal. Wish I could have been there.
The great Willie Dixon
This is like a fantasy gift.
Really all if these greats together. 💞🎶🌎
My thanks for whoever preserved this moment and shared it, sincerely, as usual.
Damn! Y'all done dug up actual footage of the man who taught Chuck berry how to play!! I'm in love with this 😍❤️💋
Oh my goodness, I'm supposed to be going to bed for an early night and then I see this. Thank You for sharing this amazing video. This is so special and beautiful.
She has a lovely voice. Fantastic video.
That stage was truly the village of the giants.
HOLY SHIT im lost for words and in tears !!!! Amazing
That`s it Baby!!
How good are these cats play them blues people its good for whats ailing you great band
That's what ya call the Blues So Awesome 💙
Enormously hot band. Great to see Sonny and Brownie outside their regular act and Jump Jackson is a familiar name to liner-notes readers, just toss in Memphis Slim, Willie Dixon, T-Bone Walker, and of course the delicious Helen Humes. Memphis Slim looks so sweet when he's singing. Sudwestfunk indeed.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I think I loved Brownie the most, but loved them all so much. Willie Dixon! omg!
Why such language? This is good clean fun and you making it nasty with such..can we word things more appropriately? This is the real thing here..amazingly awesome..
Giants all.
Real jam session and party with real people :)
so amazing .. epic ... i am suprised they got all this talent on that tiny stage ✌
Wow, what a performance. Brilliant master piece.
T-Bone's part is so good
Rock and Roll roots.
Know what makes this so hot? Apart from the fact that these are blues masters who've been doing this for years, they play together, none of that striving to blow the other guys off the stage that we see from wannabees. Excellent!
If it was not for the blues..I would have no rithum thank you ucle boo boo uncle jr.and aunt candy, and most of all my grandma Esther..thank for the mud c my fellow human beings..your music has endured..
For a Little Dutch boy this is it Good as it gets I am 69 years old..
