1:29:55 I will never forget that twist. They did a very good job misleading me during my first play-through. My reaction was the same as Desmond’s. And the way William miles was so completely insensitive to what Desmond had just witnessed just infuriated. Such a well written AC game
Yeah, I remember thinking during my first playthrough, that Haytham's recruits were the most horrible assassins I've even seen in an AC game, character-wise, but it never even occured to me that the game might be pulling such a twist. It helped that Haytham was such a charismatic character and that the animus map displayed everyone with assassin symbols. I was shocked when the truth was revealed!
I remember being slightly disappointed in it when it first came out, but it's grown to be one of my favorites over the years. The thing is, at the time we all knew it was the end of the Desmond story, and it just started too slow. But looking back at it, it really was one of the best in the series.

Fun fact: That little boy at 13:26 would go on to become one of Connor's Assassin recruits later in the game. He tells Connor about this very moment when Haytham killed Miko in front of him.
@@mikedaeggdog8904 I came upon it randomly while playing the game and trying to 100% everything. They were both sitting in a bar when he told Connor this story. Connor then thanked the recruit for telling him.
@@mikedaeggdog8904 It's Duncan Little - he says to Connor, "I don't think I've ever been so frightened as I was in that instant. It wasn't a fear that he was going to cause me pain, it was a sense that he saw right through me-into my heart-and he'd crush it if it pleased him."
2:22:22 „This feels wrong. Why not just speak to someone and explain my innocence? [...] We counter one lie with another. Words on paper instantly taken as truth. And all of it without question. Walter Payton are you asserting this ideal to the masses or, him(hatham)? 🤔 - I get what you're saying, though, I don't #totally agree with the methodology/philosophy.
AC3 is probably still the most intelligent story to date, with Rogue and the first AC shortly behind it. In Ezio's story it was fairly clear as to who was good and who was evil, but AC3 took a lot of risks and tried to examine the morally grey. I usually hate grey narratives, because there are very few people who can do them without being overly preachy, but this was executed very well. The Assassins help the Patriots win their freedom from the British, but what does that mean for people like the Natives that the Templars were trying to preserve? Connor's actions have certainly been in service to the greater good, but what unintended consequences must others now suffer due to his lack of foresight and naivety? It's a bittersweet ending that is in many ways unsatisfactory and uncertain, and that makes it's the perfect conclusion to a morally grey story.
This was excellently put. This is my favorite AC game and character hands down. I also agree about Rogue and the first AC following. I hated Rogue's ending (story and characters was still very good) because they made the Assassins look so dumb, it didn't really make any sense to me. "When an Assassin is threatened, what they seek is order, not freedom" WHAT!? That modern Templar dude was smoking hella rocks to just say that lmaooo
For me personally, Connor learned that every victory has its consequences. Yes he saved the land (which also his tribe was trying to protect) from the templars , but on the expense of the white people kicking them out, I think this is the reason why Desmond chose to free that spirit lady. He didn’t want Connors goal to end with him. I can’t explain it correctly.
Connor is by far my favorite assassin. Everyone hates on how boring he is but I don't see it. He is subtle, calm, has complete control over his emotions. That doesn't make him boring. Take the last scene with Charles Lee. He takes a sit at the table and immediately puts the knife on the table within easy reach of Lee showing how much he is in control. Even Charles knew it as he reached for his bottle instead of the knife. Truly defeated.
huh? did you even play the game? Connor does NOT have control over his emotions lmao. he cries through the whole game about finding Charles Lee. every time they kill someone he whines about how killing isn't the answer while hypocritically going on a crusade trying to find Charles all the whole killing who knows how many people. even going so far as to order a bombardment on a town JUST to flush out Charles when he not long before claimed those very people are innocent by way of following orders. Connor is one of the WORST protagonists of AC history. the worst part is how he treats Achilles who gave him literally everything and even shrugs off his insensitive comments. yeah Connor later apologizes but still maintains his naive "let's just have peace" ideology.
@@Hal_142 You missed the point, Connor is not afraid to kill or opposed to it whole sale, he simply doesn't believe killing should be the way to deal with people that don't agree with you, and he gives people every opportunity to go about their lives peacefully when he can, it's their choices that ultimately force his hand, like he did with William Johnson. If he is going on a killing rampage on his path to Lee, that's actually your doing as the player, more so than a reflection on the character. The game does do a really good job at showing his path from a naive youth to the stoic and measured man he becomes in the end. Most of the disagreements he has with other characters are just because his values and ideals are in conflict with the rest of the characters, but everyone is playing at some kind of idealism, like Haytham, or Davenport. It's of course subjective, and to each their own, but I tend to agree with @druginducedfeverdream1613 on this one. He was badass.
Connor's neither evil nor horrible. He's just an extremely naive, childish, idealistic individual, as it's pointed out over and over again by both friends and foes. As a result, he cannot think nor see beyond a simple black and white vision, and miss that, much as it'd be super cool to have a world where all are free and living happily together ever after in harmony, that's just not how humans nor the world work. Sure, it might work for a small community, like his own tribe or the Davenport village. But the more people come together and the more complicated power structures become, the more it becomes blatantly obvious that what he longs for is just an utopia. People committing crimes blinded by greed, people in power going to war over disagreements, awful things having to be done or excused with the logic of of "for the greater good" and "by all means necessary", and so on so forth. Which makes sense, considering how after all he's somebody coming from a small native american community, to the much bigger, much more complicated "modern" western society of his time, which of course he can't understand nor knows much about. He lacks the proper experience and knowledge to be more realistic and cynical, and realize how humanity is very, very flawed, and these flaws are further compounded by having a bigger society in play, rendering complete freedom unachievable. And that's what makes the struggle even more sad, as both Templars and Assassins ultimately propose solutions that are utopical in nature. Freedom under the risk of anarchy, having humanity potentially losing itself completely by not having a clear goal or vision, falling to its own vices and imperfections. Or control under the risk of those in control becoming corrupted by power or being unfit, as after all, they are humans too, and humans are very fallible, no matter how brilliant; and so leading humanity towards some very dark if not self destructive path, one instead of being meant for collective, being carried out for the exclusive interests of a few tyrants.
It kinda pisses me off that people can’t see how good Connor is as a character. Everyone says he’s boring or dull and has no arc when he actually does. People are just so blind by their Ezio glasses that they cannot see it.

Took a while, but wanted the 4K to process before we posted the video. Will post a couple more of AC3 videos throughout the day. They did this remastered justice when compared to the horrible Ezio trilogy
Coming back and watching this, I absolutely LOVE how they didn't do a "US is good, Britain is bad" and "Assassin is good, Templar is bad" story. Seeing everything from the eyes of a Native American, apparently a very accurate representation on top of that as well, and from the eyes of a Templar in the first few sequences brings it to a wider view on the war and "Assassin vs. Templar" conflict and shows the flaws on both sides. Soooo cool to see as an American interested in history. Love seeing the conflict between both sides, especially the exchange at 2:50:26. Both sides have a point, and there's no real "right" answer.
You know what's the saddest part about Haytham's history, is that while he dies, Washington, the true guilty of Connor's mother death, still lives, unpunished for his sins.
It's kinda a shame when an AC game takes you to beautifully rendered interiors like Theatre Royale or Versailles Palace and then you sort of linger there for 5minutes then spent the other 99% of game time staring at shingles on rooftops.
Love that you guys did a video for the remaster, watched the original a ton of times. Only problem I had was that you skipped through some dialogue and little scenes that you had in the old video. Would have loved to see their remaster comparison. Anyways thank you ❤️
And with a simple touch of the pedestal, the downfall of the AC franchise began. Seriously, today's games have nothing to do with the assassins. They should not have killed off Desmond.
Ubisoft did a great job creating Connor and his personality. He's not boring and dull, he's a native adapting in a new society, and as a native, the way he talk and act is wise and humble. Sure, Ezio is the best, but i don't want Ubisoft to create the same flamboyant, charming protagonist again and again (Arno is almost similiar to Ezio in character, minus that Arno is a simp) Each and every Assassin's Creed protagonist is different and i love it.
Connor is my favorite Assassin. Just simmering with rage but hes controlled, precise, but also unbelievably brutal. ACIII never got the love it really deserved.
Playing on of these games is the equivalent to reading a full Harry Potter book the Playthrough or audio reading takes over 4 hours. It’s absolutely great. Plus all good things are full of rich content. It’s amazing the movies can still turn out good they have to shrink so many details to fit a short length.
At the time it, when it was preceded by Ezio and then later followed by Edward, Connor was a very lackluster lead character. He behaves like a petulant child for large parts of the game and he is relatively emotionless throughout. In retrospect it didn't deserve as much heat as it got, but it remains near the bottom for me.
This was a really good game. The only problem it has is to get full sincrinization it told you not to kill anyone but your target most missions, and that was really annoying
Looking at it from this video that isn’t at 60fps, the game actually looks really good and reminds me of the way AC 2 looks remastered. Granted it isn’t a perfect remaster, but it likely just shows that the graphics for the game when it was originally released were just clouded a little. Now they’re clear, and I’m okay with what I’m seeing. Now, I was completely ready for this game to be the end of AC when I played it, and I really did think it was the end. But they continued the franchise, and I just don’t know where it’s headed.
Haytham is such a badass character, he's nothing like Edward. I love how much charm he has in this game. So much so that Ac Rogue Haytham was just disappointing
Connor: Wait father you didn’t been no father sense you gone with the milk and now your calling me your son Haytham: Drinks the milk Connor: I will fight you Desmond: Walking away
I still love this game, but the ending just still pisses me off and bums me out to no end 😟😤 Don't even get me started on Vahalla's ending. It just feels like the outside the animus stuff just went downhill then off a cliff 😞🙁 Thank you so much for taking this! I love your videos! 😊💖
I swear, I feel like the audio quality of Haytham's dialogue is somewhat worse than the other actors. I noticed this when playing AC3, on release, and it's the same here. I wonder if the actor's dialogue was recorded in a different studio and/or different recording setup. It's possibly just the actor's voice but there are definitely plenty moments where it starts to sound a bit like a VOIP call, with an odd tone in the bass/deeper frequencies. Listen to the difference at roughly 22:25 vs Haytham and the other NPC. Haytham's dialogue almost has a "clicky" kind of sound to it. Then listen to Haytham's line at roughly 22:43. It's a massive difference. 47:55 is another good example of dialogue sounding less than stellar.
Awesome game. Also I think they swapped Washington and Braddock's hair colors at 1:21:15. Braddock was 60 in 1755 while George was 23 so he wouldn't have grey hair, I think they corrected that in Rogue.
"Perception is fundamental to the order. it guides the feet when running and climbing. Informs the hand when striking and fighting. But most important, it transforms the sences. And we begin to know the world in a different way." Best line in whole game.
I miss the whole Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 era of gaming. Just got a PS5 and a Xbox series s and now I am enjoying this game for the very first time so sad I missed out all those years ago
The perilous transatlantic crossing, in the mid 18th century, usually took at least six weeks and could take as long as two or three months. The ship at the beginning of the game cross the atlantic in 72 days=10 weeks 2 days=2 months 11 days.It took it so long, i speculate, because of the storm.
Yeah alot of thought went into developing the story for Assassin's Creed 3, more so than many other games, even though they have come up with good story lines too. But to weave the story within historical fact was an extra step taken, and made for a more interesting game. Loved the sea battles and how they played too. Two thumbs up and thanks GLP!
I've loved the dialog between Conner and Haythem, I enjoyed the little comedic banter between them both. Shame really, as I liked Haythem as a character too.

you're the reason the world is full of templars in positions of power
@@Oae119 good 😈
I just adore the American Revolutionary War setting, it’s so freaking dope!
You know what's the saddest part about Haytham's history, is that while he dies, Washington, the true guilty of Connor's mother death, still lives, unpunished for his sins.
Yeah.... A shame really...
Ehh...he's a failure as a father and husband.
facts
He was a failure of a leader as well.
Charles Lee was responsible for that
4:30:57
Guy in the back left just pops in and t-poses while watching birds off in the distance lol
4:26:30 my favorite scene XD "SIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!"
Lmao
Lol 😂
2:40:34 You're in luck. We don't cut fingers off anymore.
Imagine being Edward Kenway watching this unfold from heaven
Am I the only one who finds that not only is the quality the exact same, but that the light texture actually looks WORSE?
Lighting is better but graphics worse
Ingame looks better, but cutscenes are worse. Some character models also look worse even ingame, but the environments are superior.
Eyebrows are nonexistent on the remaster models lmao
It's kinda a shame when an AC game takes you to beautifully rendered interiors like Theatre Royale or Versailles Palace and then you sort of linger there for 5minutes then spent the other 99% of game time staring at shingles on rooftops.
4:22:03
"He is my son."
- Haytham
Feel sad that their relationship had to end in a sad way.
The way they had the outfits showing especially in the remaster with more outfits was amazing we need more of that in the series
3:35:59 Connor fucking moonwalked out of that situation so fast its fucking hillarious
1:34:08 is when Connor’s story starts
(Hundreds of people dying in battle)
Conner: 3:19:48
This made me laugh way harder then it should have😂
3:33:11 Assassin's Creed Revelations theme.
It's often used in scenes involving Templars
"Words on paper taken as truth...all of it without question"
Damn this game was deep
Love that you guys did a video for the remaster, watched the original a ton of times. Only problem I had was that you skipped through some dialogue and little scenes that you had in the old video. Would have loved to see their remaster comparison.
Anyways thank you ❤️
Environment looks beautiful! but some of the scenes make the humans look kinda scary a bit for me😅
the homestead missions were really something else man... i miss this game. i wish my PS3 was still working :'(
One of the most memorable assassin's for me along with Edward Kenway, Ezio
And with a simple touch of the pedestal, the downfall of the AC franchise began. Seriously, today's games have nothing to do with the assassins. They should not have killed off Desmond.
Ubisoft did a great job creating Connor and his personality. He's not boring and dull, he's a native adapting in a new society, and as a native, the way he talk and act is wise and humble. Sure, Ezio is the best, but i don't want Ubisoft to create the same flamboyant, charming protagonist again and again (Arno is almost similiar to Ezio in character, minus that Arno is a simp)
Each and every Assassin's Creed protagonist is different and i love it.
I can only think how much hard work you have put into it
Loved it bro
Connor is my favorite Assassin. Just simmering with rage but hes controlled, precise, but also unbelievably brutal.
ACIII never got the love it really deserved.
43:08 That cup toss lmao
3:32:54 *General Putnam farted...*
5:57:06 R.I.P Desmond 2007-2012
He was 5 years old?
Gavins Mate When he was first introduced to us. Like his 5th anniversary since his introduction to us and then his death
Flavio GO should not have read this. I was binge watching all the AC games before playing black flag(got it for free a while back)
@@Liam-sl3ic xD
Flavio GO poor little guy was only 5 years old
2:36:20 Nice to see that the crew is actually reloading the guns. I don't know why they don't do it in Black Flag or Rogue...
Probably because this is a remaster....?
@@nitro_anh I checked my old version recently, it was also in the original game
1:46:25 “what? I did that on purpose!” I’m dying XD
Playing on of these games is the equivalent to reading a full Harry Potter book the Playthrough or audio reading takes over 4 hours. It’s absolutely great. Plus all good things are full of rich content. It’s amazing the movies can still turn out good they have to shrink so many details to fit a short length.
I have been waiting for a long time and love you guys...
We love you too.
This was my first Assassin Creed Game I played. I played this on the Nintendo Switch 💀💀
One of the best AC titles ever!
I never understood why people always trash it as one of weakest ...
Idk why but for me Connor is my favourite Assassin , maybe becase he went through so much
This is by far my favorite AC game.
I remember reading the book for this and the story hits so much deeper
3:50:17 Why do i hear this sound scarier than any screams?
uh oh...
Assassins creed 3 has a good story
Connor is the best character
I wanna play again
Me tooo hahaha
I really like Connor too, not all heroes need to be charismatic and come with one-liners.
This was a really good game. The only problem it has is to get full sincrinization it told you not to kill anyone but your target most missions, and that was really annoying
One of the best games ever released
Connor is a born weapon
Looking at it from this video that isn’t at 60fps, the game actually looks really good and reminds me of the way AC 2 looks remastered. Granted it isn’t a perfect remaster, but it likely just shows that the graphics for the game when it was originally released were just clouded a little. Now they’re clear, and I’m okay with what I’m seeing. Now, I was completely ready for this game to be the end of AC when I played it, and I really did think it was the end. But they continued the franchise, and I just don’t know where it’s headed.
In my opinion the best game in the series
Thomas hickey: Oi, Catherine ya fussock! Git back here!
Daddy needs a drink!
Me: *Laughing crazy* oh my Gods I can't stop laughing!!!!!!!!
Haytham is such a badass character, he's nothing like Edward. I love how much charm he has in this game. So much so that Ac Rogue Haytham was just disappointing
1:02:01 Even the templars who think world domination is the path to peace say "f*ck slavery"
Lmao I remember being like "Oh shit he's a Templar!!!!" Lmao such a good twist a quarter into the game
Connor: Wait father you didn’t been no father sense you gone with the milk and now your calling me your son
Haytham: Drinks the milk
Connor: I will fight you
Desmond: Walking away
I still love this game, but the ending just still pisses me off and bums me out to no end 😟😤 Don't even get me started on Vahalla's ending. It just feels like the outside the animus stuff just went downhill then off a cliff 😞🙁
Thank you so much for taking this! I love your videos! 😊💖
A remaster and haytham still doesn't have the complexion of an 18th century upper class Brit.
2:39:54 Classic Pop in
The Ultimate Rise & Fall of our Great Hero Desmond Miles
The perilous transatlantic crossing, in the mid 18th century, usually took at least six weeks and could take as long as two or three months. The ship at the beginning of the game cross the atlantic in 72 days=10 weeks 2 days=2 months 11 days.It took it so long, i speculate, because of the storm.
1:03:31 epic self save
The plot twist was do damned good
2:20:34 you, me... and you again. Ok, no one's missing, we can go.
I loved the recruits on this game 🔥
2:20:35 strange man in tunnel with you
4:03:02 Sofia Sartor theme from Revelations.
Thanks for the upload.
3:49:11 everyone: normal
*connor grabs a mans neck*
Everyone: starts cheering
How, just how
56:30 legend has it that edward braddock is still yammering on to this day
4:10:14 Connor just Roasted Achilles
Gamer's Little Playground, This is so fun! I'm happy I found your channel!
conner knowing nothing about ships and boats is hilarious to me
Haytham is my favorite character XD
Such a badass
This is one of the best assassins creed, odyssey and origins definitely at the very top with black flag as well
Well I found the dumbest comment in the thread.
2:10:31 i like how Achilles was chuckling a little Becuase connor was staring at the woman
Assassins creed 3 is hands down my favorite assassins creed game
I've loved the dialog between Conner and Haythem, I enjoyed the little comedic banter between them both. Shame really, as I liked Haythem as a character too.
Its sad how toxic most of the community is against ac its so good
If you pause at 2:40 you can see symbols that represent future assassins creed games. This 1st one is origins, the 2nd is odyssey and the 3rd one must be some assassins creed game that takes place in Asia.
Well would you look at that. You were right!
One of the best ac games hands down!!!
Achilles: you look Spanish, so you need to pretend to be Spanish
Ratonhnhaketon: okay, so what should I call myself?
Achilles: Connor
Ratonhnhaketon: er ... wh.. what?
Achilles: hey, don't look at me ... I didn't write this pisspot of a script!!
So you're telling me it took over 2 months for Kenway to get to America but Eivor traveled to Vinland, killed Gorm, explored the lands and returned in around 1 month.
Boy, Nolan North can't seem to get away from voicing characters that exhibit god-like parkour abilities
4:21:30
Haytham omfg 😂
IM DYING 🤣🤣🤣
2:41:22 u can see Juno above Seans head before the group leaves for Manhattan. Never noticed that 🤯
Just saved me hundreds of hours in play time. Thanks.
Andy Chung that’s not “maximum”, there’s no such thing as maximum for these types of games. I appreciate your feedback though.
