    Any tips for how to get the pencil strokes so light, mine always end up being too dark and inconsistent

    • @Hopefulcreations
      @Hopefulcreations 5 лет назад +7

      Use a dull lead instead of a sharpened pencil and vary the pressure (press softly with your pencil to make lighter strokes)

      Of course. Every artist has a style and a way of doing things, whether they draw stick figures or hyper realism. All artists are different.
      *Edit: Never mind, I misunderstood the point that was being made... :3

    • @luciferbroke7875
      @luciferbroke7875 7 лет назад

      skankhunt 42 "your style" in case you haven't heard, your is a possessive pronoun meant to indicate possession, stupid. and that style of drawing is not his. Rather, it's Irakli Nadar's. He's merely referencing him WITHOUT giving proper credits.

    Chris please answer this... how come you went over it with a 2B graphite pencil first? then you went over it with a HB right? my weakness is shading.. I'm slowly getting better but.. there is so many ways to shade I find it very confusing.. on RUclips artist's have so many ways and it can be off putting when you watch so many different ones.. do I use tissue what kind of tissue.. toilet paper? what type of paint brush.. I see you was using a soft brush and Kirsty partridge uses a hard brush.. also when you do a portrait is it very important on the paper? I'm using black polychromos faber to get the hair really dark plus the pupil.. but it doesn't seem to stand out.. maybe it's my paper.
