    Kirsty, please know that what you're doing are PAINTINGS, not DRAWINGS. A painting is not just anything you make with paint. It's a complex piece of art in which the different forms are distinguishable by subtle differences in color and shading rather than by hard (usually black) lines. You took 9 hours to patiently, skillfully build up all the different forms in this totally life like rendering of a person whose image we can recognize right away as it's so realistic. So this piece took FAR more effort and skill than just a 'drawing. This is a PAINTING if ever there was one!!!

    You should do a video about proportions that show how to kind of map those out. That has always been the hardest thing for me to begin with

    so, how long does it take for you to do such a drawing generally? Also, do you make a sketch first and then shade or directly start with all the processes simultaneously? Great artwork by the way. Can't stop admiring your skill!

      +Aviral Sharma thank you very much ! This part of the drawing took me 4 and a half hours. I did do the sketch first but only very lightly. 💕

    Can you tell me why the best artist draws face from the eyes first. I always draw the frame first, is it wrong

    • @VipzArt
      @VipzArt 7 лет назад +12

      sumiji888 because i guess eyes are the basic and important part while drawing , eyes makes the drawing look alive at the first point, and thats y it boosts the artist confidence to draw other parts :)

      Vipz I want to add in your point. Actually eyes comes to near to centre of the vertical height face . It will be helpful if you make a balance starting from centre

      If you start with the face structure, you may not have enough room for the eyes, in my opinion that's simply all. (this info is all from my experiences)

    Thank you for making these videos. Quarantine has made me come out of my lazy drawing cave. This is my skill level but I barely draw. Do you always freehand your sketches beforehand? I see some artists sketch out the face lines for symmetry but I have never done that.

    Could you do a comparison video of different methods of blending graphite/charcoal. Similar to your solvent vs burnishing video
