- For the Finale of At The Rail, Anthony DeiCicchi and Jimmy Fee head to Montauk, New York in search of big fluke aboard the Miss Montauk II.
Captain Jamie Quaresimo has been putting his customers on doormat fluke off the East End of Long Island since 2008, with the boat record a whopping 17 pounds!
Jimmy and Cheech, both first-timers to the Montauk fluke scene get the full experience on the Miss Montauk, seeing a leatherback turtle, a thresher shark, a monkfish, and a whole pile of fluke and sea bass.

Great video, my favorite place to fish.
Used to fish up around Montauk with my bro-in law (passed away couple years back). Had our best day ever on the Frisbees with a 9 fish limit and none under 5lbs. Biggest we 8-9-10. Every hook set was a "get the net" sort of fish. Just amazing. Also jigged up a 44" Bass at the rips same afternoon. Miss those days (and Bro)

I've been on a number of Miss Montauk fluke charters, awesome captain, awesome crew and very experienced with finding fish. Also doesn't waste time driving you all over the place. Highly recommended

How many miles from port do they usually run?

I use to go out on party boats in Montauk when I was a kid, haven't been on a party boat in years. You guys need to come out to Nantucket and make some videos, we have a lot of tourists every year that love to fish and could use some tips.
Jimmy, for your answer on when to change. If you see someone catch 2 keeper size fluke within a short time frame let’s say within 30mins on the same drift. I am stubborn sometimes and won’t change until I see a limit on one drift with one color though. Both circumstances you should change to the color that is working. But colors can change through the course of a day so it pays to have a well rounded variety of colors available.
That's good advice. Definitely needs to be more than one catch to signal a pattern.
i pour and tie my own bucktails best colors for me is white,orange , red or blue as my last resort. if the robbins are around orange is my go to
