Hey Paul, glad to see your Montauk trip was productive for you. If you do another Montauk video could you mention a little more description about your footwear. I have booted waders. My next pair will probably be stocking foot with some sort of boot. I need a little information about boot options. Are the cleats on your boots removable or are they a permanent fixture? If you are not on rocks do you have a different boot? If I fish mainly on sand but might venture to a rocky environment what are my options….. Thanks Kevin
I remember the first time I had a double of Blue fish. Same lure, LOL. Feeding frenzy on the surface is like a bunch of Piranhas. Thanks for another trip down memory lane. Stay safe.
I fished the point for nearly 45 years and it went from catching great stripers ( 30-50 lb. ) to nearly nothing but blues. The fall run was always the time to go, but I finally quit going at all. It was sad to see the drastic decline in numbers and size of stripers over the years. Blues were about the only thing and all they did was tare up your gear. Seeing all the trawlers in the distance only pissed off the guys on the beach even more.
Man please work on your release… taking a 12lb fish out dangling from your scale and ripping the scale out then kicking it is not the way to treat an animal.
Hey, what’s those waders you got there is that just like a slip on or they connected to the boots ? didn’t get that they look really cool and they look really effective because I’ve shredded every pair I’ve gotten in the past 10 years so I’m ready for a new one. Those look really cool man if you don’t mind what’s the brand & how are you not getting water in the boots? Also what is the material is it neoprene?
The van staal you have what size reel is it equivalent to in lets say like the daiwa bg line up? Just trying to guage it with other reels. I know bg runs larger for its size so a 4500 would be like a 5500 and 5000 would be like a penn battle 6000 i think.
you would have been able to pull it in with the 9 foot.. as I did yesterday.. with my DAIWA EMBLEM PRO.. caught a 35 inch blue.. massive.. took a little drag but came in with ease.. have a blessed day fishing king

Boss been watching you for about 2 years or so . I have a 6000
Thunnus and would like a rod suggestion for the surf.
Construction still going on? Heading to Montauk today, will stay tomorrow too, hopefully will be able to find some spots.
Plenty of blues here at Jones inlet
NICE
I was told you needed metal leader for bluefish apparently though that doesn't seem to be true. Any thoughts?
Nice stuff. Are you using Joebaggs swarters 6" or 7"?
What lb leader were you using
He said in the video 40lb mono leader by seaguar

damn 45 years, what happened to the stripers
Do you need a permit to access those places with your car?
Not in the day time. You just gotta pay the parking which is like 8 bucks. To fish at night you need a permit.
Sir, how I contact you.I want to go with you
Fish there at night bro.
