@@chucknurrish8341I'm talking about Seinfelds career not Larry's. without Larry's witty writing of jokes. characters an stories...Seinfeld the show would have been a bust.
The exact opposite actually. Seinfeld was a major comedian before the show. NBC wanted to do a show with Seinfeld. Seinfeld brought Larry David on to do the show. Seinfeld would still be a successful stand up without the show while David would be a failure.

It was a weird situation. And I like calling out celebrities on that.. But, she was 2 weeks from turning 18 when they met, he met her at Central Park, a normal situation for an adult to meet someone where age might not come up, and didn't really have a history before or after of that sort of thing.
I call out Paul Walker all the time, his girlfriend was 16 when they met when Paul was the same age as Jerry. There is a huge difference between 16 and two weeks from 18. You go into one relationship knowing you are going to date an underage girl for 18+ months, you go into the other knowing she's a legal adult by the time you get to know her. Neither is right, but I am not going to hate Jerry the same way I hate Paul Walker.

Eddy Murphy was one of the biggest stand-up comics in the world. His movies came after his successful career.
Exactly and it diluted any sort of creditably
Most of his financial success would have still come from his movies which was the point.
He was doing Pryor's act.
He was the legit number one comedian at the time of his Raw and Delirious specials but his money came from the movies.
Eddie was young when he started stand up young when he started in SNL. SNL made him a star then he got 48 hours and did the specials. His succses came with Saturday Night Live.
I'm not a billionaire, and I give the same work advice a lot. It's not about the money. It's about doing something you love.
I walked out of a corporate job 12 years ago and started making wooden furniture. I now own a large cabinet shop. I love what I do. It's like I retired 12 years ago at the age of 30. I start each day with a big cup of coffee and have never owned an Ice plunge tank.
While, in this one instance, I do agree with Schulz about Seinfeld, there’s something quite ironic about any of the Rogansphere “comedians” calling anyone overrated!
What’s even better if that they lack the self awareness to be in on the irony which makes it a joke to me.
@@hansmemling2311 none of them have any self awareness at all, which is quite astounding really, maybe it’s not such a common trait as I’d thought… or maybe it’s just them. Can't blame him, he's not dumb
It's Akaash. Jesus, at least spell the name right of the person you're bashing.
The fact is, for many people there's no way to do what you love and make money at the same time. For some people, - and this was once the majority, - taking care of their families , and raising their kids, IS what they love, and work is work, be it some ultimately dead end job, or being a housewife. Now, many pretend that they have some great passion, but it's really just an attempt to escape responsibility.
I appreciate you pointing out when they talk about money. Some of us made bad decisions when we were young and had to start late. I work very hard and make just enough to support my family. It’s not easy to just quit and find something that will support the same way.
Very true my dude. I hate Seinfeld but I have to admit that we need to take into consideration the context. He was talking to college graduates that mostly don’t have a family yet. So his speech was okay. Now if he was talking to folks such as yourself, yeah he’s full of shit.
@@CesarR1037 absolutely, I was more talking about all of them even Rogan who I really like. Some people have to do the hard jobs, society depends on it. Maybe show more respect for those who sacrifice than act like we can all do podcast. The hard workers are why you are rich doing that.
At 13:51, shultz fishes a booger out of his nose, rolls it, looks at it and then smears it on his pants lol

Quitting your job without the next venture in motion is the dumbest advice
Depends on the person..
Working 40 hours a week, every week, plus commute, year after year; doesn't leave a lot of time for exploration.. Suddenly you have car payments, a mortgage, kids etc etc and find yourself stuck.
I quit at 32yo with no plan and had to move back in with my parents for a year.. 6 years later and I now have my own company and earn 150k-200k.. I have a family, a mortgage and we live comfortably.. I enjoy my work and earn about triple what I did prior. If I had have waited till I figured it out to quit, I never would have.

@@mattyhollywood9016 Ok... what if you didn't have parents you could move back in with? What if your parents lived with you and you had to support them with your "40 hour a week, every week, plus commute" job? Most people don't have the luxury of quitting, or else they'd have nowhere to live and nothing to eat within a month.
@@j-rey- Yes they do. Within reason.
Many of the situations that we face in life are just problems to be solved. By saying it's not an option or a luxury you can afford, you accept it and make it so. If you can get where you want to be whilst working a job you hate, then great.. But how long are you willing to do that for and are you sure you will actually follow through on it when it isn't an immediate need and your life is already busy?
Or are you happy to work hard, be miserable, provide your family with life's basics and eventually die? If so great.. Most people accept that trajectory. But don't lie to yourself and say you don't have the luxury and are powerless to change your path in life.
Larry david was the real comedic genius behind seinfeld. Jerry is just a tool

Jerry was basically saying that it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. I agree with this because many people work hard for money but feel empty inside at the end of the day, people need passion in their life so pursue a job you’re passionate about instead of chasing wealth.

Jerry Seinfeld making a movie about an unfrosted pop tart sounds pretty on-brand. Nothingburger of a guy. Not that I like Schulz any better.

The tragedy is that the real story behind Kellog's would have made a much better movie. A chair that shakes you so hard you s**t yourself? The movie writes itself.
Being rich doesn't make your opinion bad or mean you can't have one. I've literally never worried about money. I've had ups and downs with money, but maintained happiness regardless. I look at his opinion the opposite. You may be sick of a rich guy telling you not to worry about money...who better to tell you? A poor person has no frame of reference. Jerry...maybe he made his money, he found ways to spend it...cars and whatever and at 70 he can look at life from the perspective of being poor andvrich, and he realizes money isn't where happiness lies. He didn't say its not helpful to have it, just that you should focus on doing what makes you happy. Thats not crazy...thats most opinions of anyone later in life who through experiences can properly reflect on what matters.
