IT Park is beautiful, and you literally passed the condo I'll be staying in. If this video can't stop my grandma from worrying, nothing will.
@Kam It was fantastic! IT Park is a great place for a foreigner to start their time in the Philippines. Cebuanos seemed more confident speaking English than people in Metro Manila, who were more nervous about saying things wrong. There was a great mall within walking distance that had everything I needed, and lots of great food and friendly people. I stayed there for a month, then in Taguig in Metro Manila for another month, and now I'm living with my girlfriend in Rizal. I love this country, it's definitely worth at least visiting.

If I'm not mistaken, the BPO employees in Cebu IT Park now are around 150k to 200k. Dumadami nadin talaga empleyado kasi po marami na nadagdag at bago na BPO companies na naitayo dyan. Kulang nalang dito sa Cebu is Train System para mabawasan ang traffic at magimprove ang transportation system at para mas umunlad pa. At sana yong kaunlaran ay maramdaman din ng ordinaryong Pilipino. Amazing video! Thank you again for these walk arounds. We can immediately tell it's Cebu from the blue cloudless sky and strong sunshine above. As much as I love Metro Manila, we really don't see as much cloudless sunshine as Cebu and the rest of the Visayas does, our skies are somehow not as deep blue, it's almost always a little bit cloudy in MM even on sunny hot summer days. I wish SRP ends up the same way as IT Park does. Cebu city has so much more potential to be the HK of the Philippines. It is situated in a similar location to Kowloon (mountains behind, sea in front) which apparently it's good Feng Shui for business. I hope the Osmeñas can follow up with cleaning up, renovating, and developing the old downtown and providing social housing for the poor by the seaside and in the downtown area.
Haha Osmeñas…they’ve been around Cebu so long yet did not do much about social housing and the like. I hate to say this, but change your political attitudes towards this and stop promoting political dynasties, especially ones that haven’t helped in developing the HDI in the country.

An excellent tour as usual, but as it's almost a year old it's a little out of date. Most of the typhoon damage seen has been repaired and buildings under construction almost completed. Foot traffic has also increased with the pandemic end.
You should check out Cebu Safari & Adventure Park, the largest park of its kind in the Philippines. It's a 3 in 1 park: zoological, botanical and adventure park. The area currently devoted to zoological park alone is 300 hectares, twice as big as the similarly laid-out Taipei Zoo in Taiwan. It's a safari so animals have bigger spaces they can roam around comfortably in lush vegetation setting. It has a separate botanical garden dedicated to different habitats of the world as well as the extensive orchid farm. But the park itself is created within the original lush tropical jungle in the mountains of Carmen so touring around the park is comfortable except that it involves long walks but amidst lush canopies of tall trees. It has own free transport system using trams to take visitors around if you don't like to walk or if you have limited time.
I actually think that Cebu IT Park is better than Cebu Business Park because of its unique architectures and vibrant modern environment. I just hope that the Ayala would improve it better because the roads really disappointed me having it not asphalted, the sidewalks are small, and the lawns are not even trimmed! It's as if they doesn't care to maintain it anymore and is just waiting for the profits coming out of the district.

Most utility cables in IT Park and Cebu Bus. Park are built underground. Di mo ba nakita. May mga areas din sa Cebu like Osmena Blvd portions ung mga cable nasa ilalim. Fyi, hindi lahat ng cables are built underground sa Davao, may mga portions lang. fyi din, Cebu ang pinakuna sa VisMin region outside the capital ang nagunderground cabling thru VECO and the city government. Sumunod ung Davao City, DavaoLight is a sister company of VECO, an Aboitiz company- a Cebu-based.

As an American who's moving to the Philippines, this video is perfect for easing the concerns that my more worry-prone relatives have about my move. "Isn't that a developing country? What about crime? Will you have access to healthcare? Do they have internet? Won't you miss air conditioning?" It's not their fault, because they don't know any better, but boy is it annoying. IT Park is beautiful, and you literally passed the condo I'll be staying in. If this video can't stop my grandma from worrying, nothing will.
@Kam It was fantastic! IT Park is a great place for a foreigner to start their time in the Philippines. Cebuanos seemed more confident speaking English than people in Metro Manila, who were more nervous about saying things wrong. There was a great mall within walking distance that had everything I needed, and lots of great food and friendly people.
I stayed there for a month, then in Taguig in Metro Manila for another month, and now I'm living with my girlfriend in Rizal. I love this country, it's definitely worth at least visiting.

Cebu IT Park is used to be the site of the old Lahug Airport of Cebu.
If I'm not mistaken, the BPO employees in Cebu IT Park now are around 150k to 200k. Dumadami nadin talaga empleyado kasi po marami na nadagdag at bago na BPO companies na naitayo dyan.
Kulang nalang dito sa Cebu is Train System para mabawasan ang traffic at magimprove ang transportation system at para mas umunlad pa. At sana yong kaunlaran ay maramdaman din ng ordinaryong Pilipino.
Hoping na umunlad bawat primary city or cities sa mga Regions or Provinces at magkaroon ng fair na budget para sa infrastructures, kasi napapansin ko na mas lalo tayo nagiging divided at Regionalized kapag iilan lang umuunlad. Hinde ko rin masisi yong iba na mainggit at nagiging resulta sa bangayan. Kaya panalangin ko na paunlarin lahat para lahat masaya para marami din tayo pasyalan at trabaho. Manila income is 1.3 trillion but the internal revenue allotment of NCR is only 24 billion same as region 3 and calabarzon!
Unlike vismin na mas mataas ang nakukuhang share sa national government kumpara sa naiaambag sa national government katulad ng BARMM na halos 500 million lang ang income pero nakakakuha ng 24 billion sa IRA ng national goverment!
Sana nga maging patas na para naman mapakinabangan ng mga taga luzo ang hard earned money nila!

Amazing video! Thank you again for these walk arounds. We can immediately tell it's Cebu from the blue cloudless sky and strong sunshine above. As much as I love Metro Manila, we really don't see as much cloudless sunshine as Cebu and the rest of the Visayas does, our skies are somehow not as deep blue, it's almost always a little bit cloudy in MM even on sunny hot summer days. I wish SRP ends up the same way as IT Park does. Cebu city has so much more potential to be the HK of the Philippines. It is situated in a similar location to Kowloon (mountains behind, sea in front) which apparently it's good Feng Shui for business. I hope the Osmeñas can follow up with cleaning up, renovating, and developing the old downtown and providing social housing for the poor by the seaside and in the downtown area.
Haha Osmeñas…they’ve been around Cebu so long yet did not do much about social housing and the like. I hate to say this, but change your political attitudes towards this and stop promoting political dynasties, especially ones that haven’t helped in developing the HDI in the country.
MM is so polluted that you can't see the sky even on sunny days, it's called smog, a brown gray cloud covering the sky of MM.

An excellent tour as usual, but as it's almost a year old it's a little out of date. Most of the typhoon damage seen has been repaired and buildings under construction almost completed. Foot traffic has also increased with the pandemic end.
You should check out Cebu Safari & Adventure Park, the largest park of its kind in the Philippines. It's a 3 in 1 park: zoological, botanical and adventure park. The area currently devoted to zoological park alone is 300 hectares, twice as big as the similarly laid-out Taipei Zoo in Taiwan. It's a safari so animals have bigger spaces they can roam around comfortably in lush vegetation setting. It has a separate botanical garden dedicated to different habitats of the world as well as the extensive orchid farm. But the park itself is created within the original lush tropical jungle in the mountains of Carmen so touring around the park is comfortable except that it involves long walks but amidst lush canopies of tall trees. It has own free transport system using trams to take visitors around if you don't like to walk or if you have limited time.

I actually think that Cebu IT Park is better than Cebu Business Park because of its unique architectures and vibrant modern environment. I just hope that the Ayala would improve it better because the roads really disappointed me having it not asphalted, the sidewalks are small, and the lawns are not even trimmed! It's as if they doesn't care to maintain it anymore and is just waiting for the profits coming out of the district.

Back in 2006, first BPO ko sa Qualfon sa Skyrise 1. Back then, twas the tallest building. After shift, gala pa sa Sunflower 😂😂😂
this place used to be our playground in 1990s an old lahug airport.
I remember mid 2000s only one building is standing in that place. now it is already crowded.

Most utility cables in IT Park and Cebu Bus. Park are built underground. Di mo ba nakita. May mga areas din sa Cebu like Osmena Blvd portions ung mga cable nasa ilalim. Fyi, hindi lahat ng cables are built underground sa Davao, may mga portions lang. fyi din, Cebu ang pinakuna sa VisMin region outside the capital ang nagunderground cabling thru VECO and the city government. Sumunod ung Davao City, DavaoLight is a sister company of VECO, an Aboitiz company- a Cebu-based.
