However...Marko made beautiful music w all 3 female leads...so he's the safe answer! This concert, End Of An Era 2005...is very intense...Tarja was fired by the band right after this show. The band played like it might be their last show...bc they just didn't know what the future would bring.

Now it's absolutely necessary to listen to the Floor version of this song and I advise you to look for the live version recorded at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam some months ago. Another masterpiece.

I don't care how many times I hear this, I enjoy it just as much as I did the first time. It's such a unique presentation of this song. Tarja's more operatic voice is perfect for the song, and Marko's growly, snarly Phantom adds a dimension that is not heard in other versions. Marko hit a confirmed G5 in this and I think I remember that Tarja hit high D. I agree with @amygoodson-catlady that all of the female singers are wonderful, and a direct comparison is impossible. Marko's harmonies with all three are spot on. As far as the next song, you can't go wrong whatever you choose so I am just going to suggest one of my very favorites "Song of Myself" live at Wacken 2013.

This was great, but this musical (Phantom of the Opera) had several BETTER songs that I always wish they would try like "All I Ask of You" and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again".
@@CamiVocalist Neither of these have been performed by NW. These are from Phantom of the Opera directly. "All I Ask of You" is a duet. Look fro the one by Josh Groban and Lea Salonga. "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" was done well by a few singers. Phantom was first set as a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and his then girlfriend/wife (not sure which) played the lead character Christine. That was Sarah Brightman. If you look for it, find the original. Life hasn't been kind to her voice (or she hasn't bothered maintaining it). There's another singer who sang in a video production of Phantom... Sierra Boggess I think. However, to truly understand, you need to see the entire musical to get the full context of these two songs.
The difference between Tarja and Floor is: Tarja is a an opera singer who coincidentally got into a metal band, Floor is a metalhead who can sing opera 😉 And between them is Anette, who got a more pop music style of singing. All three of them a great vocalists and I wouldn't compare them in a way like "who is the better singer", you just can't. They are all great, they have their own style and they're all part of the band's history.

The differences between the "opera diva" and the "rock stars" had become too great. Nevertheless, Marko and Tarja got along well after that. A few years later, Marko was a guest with Tarja and only recently they sang this song together again. This version is the best for me. Tarja is the better opera singer and this phantom is ready to kill like the phantom does in the template. Aside from Gabriel's list, I recommend Shoemaker from the current album. Es innegable nacimos la mayoría a nightwish con Tarja, no podemos negar la calidad vocal qué tiene, es gracioso (tonto) sabes, pues muchos de los que aman a Tarja odian a Floor porque pues por tontos 😂 las comparaciones están presentes siempre y el hate a tope, así que si en algún momento encuentras un comentario negativo a una performance de NW con Floor sabrás porque

Yes, i love Tarja and her exceptional unique and beautiful voice..but i don’t hate Floor…I just don’t like her voice so much, but i respect her as an artist. And that’s what so many Floor fans can’t do with Tarja…
