I have one and I love it. I wish it had just one more octave (for large smears, sometimes it falls short). The drawbars feel incredible, though. All analogue feeling, wich is great: no displays, no presets.
This is such a classic instrument already and super portable ,it sounds greY ,it ticked all the boxes for me I can't wait to add those sounds into my songs ! 😀
I absolutely l #LUVS the vintage keyboard sounds!!! Any band doing Pop, Rock or Psychedelic should have one of these. And so extremely portable! A #MUSTHAVE.
Not sure if anyone cares but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest series on Instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks xD
Whenever I see you playing these I want to buy them! Although I cannot play the keyboard like that funky :) I am in between buying one of the refaces. Can't decide if I should go for this or the CS or even CP. Need help!
@@dangill9236 I like them all but went for the CP. It is excellent and the whole reface range seems to be. So it comes down to what sounds you want to be able to play and create with first.
What I am trying to Figure out is how to get the YC to effectively interact with the auxiliary input on a Behringer Model D. The thing I'm having a challenge with is the YC MIDI Out appears to have to be plugged directly into the Behringer Model D MIDI In to get the two to function together as far as the triggering is concerned and being able to run the two units plus other sounds on MIDI Channel 1 through a controller keyboard. One thing I'm trying to do is use the Behringer Model D Auxiliary Input to function mainly with the YC Farfisa combo organ sound to add additional filtering and envelope controls.
Did you turn off speakers on keyboard? Every time I add some distortion, sound is awful like its gonna explode, but yours sounds very good at 4:15. Does anyone have the same problem as me?
can this be controlled with a larger keyboard - a simple midi maybe? and use all the controls on the yc? keys on the midi keyboard and controls on the yc?
How does the YC compare to the other Reface models? I know the DX is intended for FM synths, the CS is intended for subtractive synths and the YC is intended for organ sounds. But since I'm fairly new to synthesizers, I'm not sure whether this means they all play completely different sounds or if there is some overlap or if one of them are just a simplified subset of another one?
One thing I’m finding with it is when I use it in my hand the sound blasts out too loud at certain ranges. Can’t work out how to get the volume even over the three octaves. Any ideas?
@@ReallyDudeYouGottaHearThis I’ve never had this issue when using my actual Farfisa organ or my Yamaha yc20. The volumes are consistent across the range of the instrument and don’t jump out.
hook it up to a midi keyboard that does not have velocity sensitivity or hook it up to a more transitional keyboard with velocity that fits closers to a bigger organ
does this reface keyboard have an out put to connect bass pedal unit?if so please suggest model number.in short i want to use this keyboard like hammond organ with pedal board for bass.
It sounded like you was trying to play light my fire by the doors. That is a pretty sweet keyboard that I would love to have.

What is the top note?? .. I believe its a top note of C6
@@nickgolden4779 Yes, it is. I was thinking about getting a good controller for this.
Great demo! I have ordered one😀😀
Doctor Mix you rock my world!
I like the Farfisa at ~4min30. I used to play mine through a Fuzzbox and a WahWah pedal
Nice!
Sold! Your demos are excellent, Doctor, thanks for all the great content.
I can't wait to get mine tomorrow, very excited to have organ sounds

why does this and the CP Reface have the interface I've been wanting for years on full-size boards like damn clavia boards
when will manufacturers learn that less is more

@@mmhcreates I have the CS and YC but getting the CP for Christmas. I'll probably cave and get the FM too sometime.
@@mikeellisonhimself enjoy them all. Have fun
just the percussion sound sounds like lavender town! =]
seems it all depends on a MARSHALL JVM410H 100W amplifier with a tower of two Marshall MX412A speakers to wake up this tiger?
With that setup a Casio will sound like Jon Lord at CalJam

Sound engineer and musician ! Congrats.Good vid. (Your vid with your friend about mixing and mastering was really cool too)Keep up ;)
Superb
hi! I have this organ and im trying to recreate more of an “acordeon” sound ish is there a way i can use this for it ??? thank you
I use a layered melodica for that

receptxful the speakers are really small and can't handle that much. you should want to always use headphones
Get a dedicated amp for it. Or headphones like the other guy said
You can try Uriah heep : July morning , Easy livin or Gypsy
"I was only seventeen"....

Yes I do it with my electric piano reface all the time and I've seen videos of people doing it on this one!
GREAT demo!
Thank you Ben! Glad you liked it :-)
can change your octave or transpose?
yes there is a immediate selector for octaves. With the new firmware, possible to transpose when power up with a combination of keys
So Only Octaves? not individual Keys?
you cannot change the pitch of a separate key. you can change globally by 1 to 12 semi tones

All play completely different sounds...
You need 2 of them to become really authentic
Hmmm don't need two keyboards to play thick sounding chords

Organ players use foot pedals to control the dynamics

Sounds pretty nice. Except that distortion, yecch.
Sounds nothing like a Hammond at all.
Totally lacking that characteristic tonewheel sounds. Has more of a cheesy 80s hammond clone timbre (like the Korg BX for example).
Its the "leslie" that spoils the sound a bit, a real cabinet is the only thing or the ventilator
pah pah pah
Is the best thing we can get, besides a Nord and an actual Hammond.
Or a Ferrofish B4000 for 400€. And there are way better alternatives to Nord, such as Crumar and Viscount.
