I have a very naturally raspy chest voice and a weak, quiet head voice. My chest voice is full of so much rasp beyond my control and I've been trying to obtain a mixed voice for so long now. Do I need a clear chest tone before I can mix with my head voice?

I've got a problem where i still can't distinguish what I'm using. I can only differ falsetto from chest voice
