It sounds like Prince had different pitches of falsetto. Like in his song "Kiss," he's singing in falsetto pretty much the whole song. Then at the end, he goes into a higher register. It's really amazing and difficult to pull off for untrained amateurs like myself.

Not sure about this. Personally I find a strong chest voice to sound the most emotional, especially when the voice gets raspy and distorted. Falsetto pretty much never hits me with much feeling.

Maybe you could also look into Falsetto mimicking the baby's cry or sound catching our attention in a subconscious level.. Falsetto is a loud whisper which disarms and stimulates the listener at the same time. That is why when we talk to children and babies, and even small animals, we usually use that tone.
Actually I don't love the sound of a falsetto, I find it very annoying coming from certain artists so the theory is not completely true. Male artist from the past knew how to use the falsetto the right way (MJ, Prince, Freddy, Bowie...) and were very creative, while today artists give a really cheesy and corny impression while using it (JB, JT, the weeknd, any rapper really...) I gotta give props to Frank tho that performance was so smooth.
I personally don’t like the male falsetto at all, so yes this theory is not 100% true. I love bass voices on men. I like female falsettos much better like Mariah Carey’s.

I wonder if this only applies to human voices. Do you enjoy the higher note instruments like violas more than basses? Or does the range a single instrument play in also have different effects on our brain? My guess would be no, since they are not living creatures and our brain does not see parallels to emotional attributes. Yet still someone bending the violin on an outstanding level can cause a lot of people to tear up and get emotional. Would love to know more about this. Interesting video!

Falsetto doesn't necessarily mean head voice. It's uncommon but we can use chest voice in falsetto- the voice would sound very breathy but it is very much possible.
Falsetto isn't high pitch singing. We can sing in high pitches *without* falsetto too.
Falsetto voice register is a combination of modal and whispering register. Now whether the modal register is in chest voice or head voice, along with air passing the vocal folds like in whispering register to make it falsetto, determines whether the falsetto is in low pitch or high pitch.
