Melissa !! Thank you for this video. I finally bought some sketch pens today when Michaels had them on clearance! You made this super easy! Now to practice and make a bunch of stuff! LOL. I have the Cameo 4. Do you have any idea how long the pens last before they dry out or run out of ink?

So I’m new to all of this, and I was really frustrated that my pens weren’t fitting in the blue adapter. Then I realize that the pens have a cap. LOL😂 we’re good now 😊

You can use the Infusible Ink Pens with Silhouette CAMEO or Portrait
Cricut do infusible ink pens already.you can use those

I just got my cameo pro for Christmas so I’m trying to learn how to use everything. I tried the sketch pen and it isn’t writing. I’ve been trying to find settings for things. What force should I have it on. I assumed the default would work but nothing happened. Your videos have been very very helpful.

Very helpful! ty Since you mentioned you favor American craft and it's 80lbs weight - do your know if they have any patterns or anyone else with that weight? I have been looking for a year now for pattern heavy cardstock paper for 3d projects to no avail and thought I'd ask. Fingers crossed. :)

Is it worth it? I mean how many projects do you usually take before it rans out of ink? I wanted to buy one but I'm hesitant because of the size. Its small, so it looks like it doesn't hold a lot of ink in it. Any feedbacks? Thank you!
They're definitely small but get through several projects at least. There are also adapters so you can use taller pens with more ink.
Tnx for all your great tutorials :) I do have a question. I think i might need to change my autoblade.... but I see, that the once i have bought are ROUND on the back- and not as the one the mashin came with when i got i.... It say: Silhouette Autoblade on the package... but it does not have the straight back... can i somehow use it anyway? Hope you can help me :) Tnx in advance :)
Hi there, unfortunately you will not be able to use that blade. Those are the autoblades for the Cameo 3 rather than the Cameo 4.

How did you get rid of the drag lines if I use the cameo sketch pens it leaves drag lines if I use a pen adapter with regular pens it works fine

I just got a pack and made a swatch type sheet so I can see the colours on white card. Oddly all worked fine except 2! All were put in the same (I’m pretty careful as I’m a new user so being careful with making sure everything is correct ). I had a random small line but when my last colour (dark green) finished in the bottom right corner it drew a line up to the top left as the carriage returned 😕 I’m not going to re do the sheet because it was a LOT of swapping out each colour but so annoying. I wonder why only the green, maybe the nib was fractionally longer 🤷♀️
i purchased some single line images from So Fontsy but I still get double lines when tracing the designs in my studio. How do I get that single line sketch design like what you mentioned in this tutorial?
You will always get an outline when tracing. You should not need to trace - what file format are you using? Please contact customerservice@sofontsy.com for help
What is the 2nd cartridge holder for if you can't put a pen or blade in there?
It's for the Rotary Blade and Kraft Blades
Can I do a sketch just using a text or words that I type on the silhouette design template?

I have a question, how is it possible that with cameo 4 when I want to write and use the cameo 4 pen and the light blue adapter, that is, the special one for pens, she also writes me when she goes from one place to another, leaving Some horrible lines and it spoils all my work, however using a normal pen with the Pen Holder from cameo 4 is perfect. hello, where am I supposed to find the sketch pen adapter? I looked on Silhouette's website, Michael's and Amazon, no luck. I bought all of these items to make my son's grad announcements. Now what?
They should have come with your Silhouette CAMEO 4 machine. If you need to purchase another set and they are sold out right now they should be back in soon!
How did you 'tell' the cameo not to print the gems and just have it cut out the shape? I only know how to move the designs out and then have it cut the card shape..
In your send panel you would select the items that you do not want an action on and use the "no cut" option.

I wish I have found that tutorial!! I had damaged a felt tip pen last night 😫 I ended up just lifted the own up big more and screw it tight, leaving just the tip showing.
I just bought these pens and the first few projects they worked perfect, but then just stopped working. Like the ink dried out. It’s hitting the paper but not drawing the lines. Any advice?
Try to scribble with it a little bit before you put it in the machine.

You would need to make an internal offset so it's small enough to create what appears to be a single line. It's easier to just purchase single line fonts from So Fontsy
My cameo 4 adapter for my silhouette ultimate sketch pen kit does not fit. I thought the adapter fit the pens?

My sketch pens will not fit into the adapter. The adapter will not close around the pen. Nor will the adapter fit into the cameo 4. What’s the solution for this?

@@SilhouetteSchool thank you. It didn’t work. I have the latest software as I just bought the cameo 4 pro, but I don’t have the same options . My tab that looks like the squiggly line on the right hand side is called sketch panel but I don’t get the same choices and when I do fill it in, it all comes out red. I need to be able to make each object a different color and I’ve I grouped them and can modify them individually but they all continue to come out red.🙀☹️
I did everything you said, but it keeps saying Registration Failed. It seems like it's trying to read/look for registration marks...?

This really depends on how often you're using them!

I adore your videos, but they're hard to get through when the machine is running. I'm on the spectrum and have auditory sensory issues. Raising your voice to try to talk over the machine (which is quite loud) is really overwhelming. If you could get a portable microphone (maybe one that clips to your shirt) it should help amplify your voice and not pick up so much of the machine's noises.
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately when I do Facebook Live videos - which is what most of my videos are - a mic isn't able to be used in this way.
