  • Hello Fellow Silhouetters! Last time I used my sketch pens, there were drag lines. However, I found out how to create beautifully filled text without dragging. Yay!

    Thank you for the helpful info! Can you please tell me what settings you used to get this to print correctly? I followed your step but it is still coming out traced and not filled

    I saw that you used the older sketch pens. Any tips for the newest sketch pens used in Cameo 4 to avoid drag lines?

      I have not tried out the newer sketch pens. Maybe try similar techniques to see if it helps?

      It's not possible to do the same way as showed in the video due to the shape of the new pens. However, if you place them in the machine without pushing them all way down, it'll work. I hope it helps! - Great video, btw!

    So I was having the same problem with my Cameo. After a few videos and troubleshooting on my own, I realized that my cutting mat was WAY TO THICK. I switched over to the mat the pens came with and problem solved! Let me know if this works for you too!

    I am having issues with a possible setting for the sketch pens?
    I’m using the machine to write letters. I uploaded my personal handwriting and the machine was working fine for a while. For some reason now the writing is double… looks like bubble lettering.
    How do I get rid of this? I can’t figure this out.

    Thank you so much for your video! What paper did you use?

    • @SimpleCharmLiving
      @SimpleCharmLiving  3 года назад +1

      You are welcome! I bought the paper at Hobby Lobby. It was in the 12x12 paper area. I don’t know the name of it, but it looked like a hand made paper mixed with something else, not just a flat white paper.

    Hello, I came across your video and I am expecting my Silhouette Cameo 4 this evening. I was wondering if I am able to use a sketch pen to print text (filled in solid) on a piece of thin leather? Or would I be better off using a heat transfer method?
    Thank you.

      Hi! I hope you enjoy your new Silhouette Cameo 4! I haven't tried using thin leather or heat transfer methods yet, so unfortunately, I'm not certain on how that would work. However, if you search on the internet or RUclips, you might find some helpful information!

    Problem. The pens sold since your videos, can't be pushed up because there's a little ridge on the pen that locks into the groove in the pen holder, making it very hard to solve dragging. So disappointing.

    What material did you sketch on?

    • @SimpleCharmLiving
      @SimpleCharmLiving  Год назад

      It was a “canvas” style cardstock paper I found at Hobby Lobby.

    May I know the font that you've use in this video?

    • @SimpleCharmLiving
      @SimpleCharmLiving  3 года назад

      I used the font "Caroline" for the Take A Seat writing. For the "hello" I used "Amatic SC"

    Was that drawn on canvas?

      No, it was not drawn in Canvas, but paper that looks like Canvas.

    Can Sharpies be used in Cameo 4? If so, how?

    • @SimpleCharmLiving
      @SimpleCharmLiving  3 года назад

      They can be used. I’ve seen videos on RUclips. If you look up cameo 4 sketch pens with sharpies, you should see some results.
