"Welcome to Tool Army. Think For Yourself. Look After Your Brothers."
Toolthusiasts unite !
Maybe he'd like sasquatch??
Omg frfr I LOVE when ppl get into the epicness that is the MJK for the 1st time! Btw I can relate to the addiction stuff hun…check out Maynard’s other band A Perfect Circle the album Thirteenth Step ❤
ah, good to witness a Tool conversion
We got another one haha!!! Tool is the gift that keeps giving. Truly Timeless Art. Welcome to the family
“I love a song with a good buildup!” You’re in luck, that’s pretty much every Tool song.
when you are born...the only colors you can see for about a month are black and white...then the colors and the vision gets better. It's a metaphor for spiritual growth. I'm in for the ride with ya...you are gonna love this journey!
This album dropped on my 14th birthday. It was my birthday present from my dad AND Tool 😅
This album has been with me the majority of my life.
Best Birthday ever!
so lucky to have that as a memory. its truly amazing to see the connection with the Tool fans.
There’s no band that touches this band these last 25+ years. No band.
T00L army, we’ve got another recruit! 😎
Oh what I would give to listen to Tool for the first time again
I'm ok with admitting that they went deeper with musical mathematics than I can decipher, but I'll forever love their first two albums.
You also must include the first EP, Opiate!! But, the hits from the past 20+ yrs are epic masterpieces too. The last Fear Inoculum album has 5 outstanding songs I haven’t been able get out of my rotation for 3 years now. #TOOLarmy🤘🏼

Love you man. It's a group that has gotten me through so much and I still hear them everyday and never gets old. Don't be ashamed to be so deep. It' s frustrating to me too but this is inspiration for me to let go.
You must see them live! The energy and good vibes there is amazing.
I concur.
It’s such an amazing experience.
Im first! Love ya spiral out!
! 🌀 🌀🌀🌀🌀❤️
I’ve been with tool since 1993, and I still have the same effects when I hear their songs today. You look exactly the way the rest of us tool fans look when we first heard them, and that fascination, that thinking and pondering about life continues even when you’ve heard the song for the 10,000 time. To me, they are the best band in human history, all four of these men are masters of their trade, and they always leave you over thinking and over analyzing.
This song is a masterpiece! One of the greatest songs ever written. Keep digging in this rabbit hole. You’ll be glad you can’t dig yourself out. I recommend listening to “Pneuma” next or “stinkfist.” Great reaction btw my man
You could see his mind and body separating 😂😂 love it
Obviously you're an intelligent individual and "get it". I discovered TooL 30yrs ago when Sober hit MTV. Realized then they don't make songs with the structure most people are use to.. they always tell a story lyrically and musically which makes them very unique. Enjoy your journey/ ride with their catalog and the army will support you. Spiral Out my friend🌀
Great reaction and insights! Definitely try 'The Grudge' by Tool at some point... Great lyrical food and there's an epic scream in that one that you won't soon forget.
yaaaasssssss, dooooo itttttt
Mathematical geniuses. Only three instruments and one vocalist. Great jam
I have not heard any bad songs from them. I have to hear them every day. They touch something in us. You all right dude.
I love you man, you can see the beauty when you see it, even if we dont understand it really, it makes us feel something bigger, this is what Tool is about! I'm about to binge watch all your Tool reactions, great work!
the black, white, red, yellow is part of the First Nations color wheel. I watched an interview with Maynard the lead singer, that is where he got it from. It is also interesting how they write their music. The music is made first and then passed on to Maynard who listens and writes the lyrics to the music.
He apparently helped write some music on their early work according to a few of his interviews. He never specified when that was, though.
@Michael Sprague I wonder if MJK was more involved in the writing process before Justin replaced Paul. IMHO, while Paul was fantastic, Justin plays different and perhaps MJK recognized he needed to give the rest of the band space to perfect their craft. Fortunately for all of us, whatever their process is, it seems to work well for them.
..
JB! Great review! You really need to take a much deeper dive into this song. You’ve only scratch the surface of what it is about and how it was inspired/written. Welcome aboard the Tool train.
and another one down the rabbit hole. let's go bro !!
also, you'll never get out of the Rabbit Hole, you're in the TOOL ARMY now....🤘
You're in... so glad to have you here. Don't worry about the music-videos, a few lives are good and seeing them live yourself (several myself) is the pinnacle. So many tracks are waiting for you - do the Pneuma studio version (to get the full experience) then drum cam (to meet up with Danny's magic)... lol. You can't go wrong though - appreciate you man.
Another TOOL fan has been born!
Senior TA Officer here. Assemble the army!
It's always so amazing to watch someone become a fan and join the Tool Army. Especially when you really understand and enjoy the artistry, intelligence and beauty that each song has and the journey it takes you on. I hope to see many, many more Tool reactions and I think deep dives would be perfect for upcoming songs, they are the absolute best to do so with. Welcome my friend, and enjoy the ride down the rabbit hole!
Love this band so much
Right in two will blow you away,I believe.Pretty straight forward lyrics with powerful meaning
Just subbed for tool.
Im absolutely loving your Tool reactions
Reminds me of how I felt,it’s refreshing to see
I’ve watched quite a few Tool reaction vids & not 1 has not been blown away by Tool
“I dont know how Im ever gonna get out of this rabbit hole” 😂😂😂
Welcome my brother.
Great reaction! You would like Parabol / Parobola. Listen to them together. Same goes for Intension / Right in Two. Both are excellent
Absolutely, but please stay away from the weird music videos! 🤣
46 and 2 !! Lyrics! The Grudge!! Gotta have lyrics because they are deep!
I think he posted 46 & 2 reaction earlier today.
@@randomsasquatchwithwifi4090 I saw that thanks
Thank you for sharing your introduction to Tool.
You are shoulder deep into the rabbit hole my friend! There is so much more for you to experience, thanks for sharing your Tool journey 🤘🏻🌀
Tool is wonderful. Peace all.
The Army keeps growing...Welcome
Which is why sport is so great. The less you overthink, the better you play.
Open .very patient .and transparent….
Love your videos man, you do a great job of really listening and trying to understand the songs and feeling the emotion of them, keep it up!
Man.. that was awesome! Took me way back... the Lateralus CD, bought on kind of a whim- at lunch, I pressed play as I boarded public transit. I was not prepared... I was shocked how good Tool had done this album. Also Frank Zappa has some interesting live music.
Welcome to the TOOLBOX!🤟🏼
Welcome to the Tool family.
I saw Tool open for Rage Against The Machine. It didn't suck
🔥
That had to be awesome. My 2 favorite bands
@@SpunkyJ77 Saw them many years back in the middle of the desert in the summer; Indio, CA. Hot as hell and even louder than that!
James, us overthinkers make up for the underthinkers....
More TOOL!! You'll like Right In Two...
welcome to the army. we love new recruits. just keep riding that spiral and maybe we will meet on the other side.
I also got into Tool because of how weird they are! Truly no other band like them.. try listening to "Jambi" next
I agree with you, jambi is my survival song
Welcome to the vastness of the TOOL nation
yo i sub for any TOOL video, so 🤘 to you for checking out this epic band.....
You don’t get out of the TOOL rabbit hole, you join the TOOL army ❤
Hey my TOOL friend. Its Lisa again on friends pc. And yes TOOL makes u use yr Tool and of course as the double entandres go with most TOOL songs it also means a mans "tool!' Ahem....yeah. Anyway im sure yuv probably looked into the meaning of the song b4 today? But if not, yr gonna hv a jaw dropping moment wen u do. THIS SONG to me is their ultimate masterpiece! Their OPUS. And the greatest song EVER WRITTEN! And ill tell ya Y.....1st the meaning....Its about human evolution from the beginning. From the subconscious to conscious then Ultimately to SUPER consciousness. Astral projection, telepathy etc. To convene w/the divine! through meditational practices (rediscover silence. Witness the beauty, feel the power. And still be a human! ) Remember hearing the embryonic heartbeat? To being an infant only see's in black n white to the red n yellow spectrum of eyesight upon development. Maynards lyrics using syllables in the Fibanacci sequence. Its also known as The Golden Ratio. Found throughout ALL lifeforms (look them up) Each # is added to the nxt. Ex..0+1=1..."Black.". 1+1=2,, "Then White " 1+2=3. "All I see." 2+3=Five.."In my in-fant-cy." Notice how he broke it into five syllables? etc. then HE goes backwards. Of course the complex time signatures to the meaning of the song AND the song being SO BAD ASS in all kinds of crasy great ways!! To me, makes it the greatest song ever written! Looking at the cover art u can see the spiral going up n OUT. The golden ratio is the nvr ending circle going around an around getting bigger n bigger. So w/this song alone yr knowlege for many things will increase to ways u may nvr hv imagined. So, spiral OUT, keep going ok? Thats it for today class. Dont forget yr homework is to listen to more TOOL.
Black and white; red and yellow: to me that's talking to being a child and seeing the world in absolutes...right and wrong. As you grow older you understand that the world isn't this or that...there's different solutions for each problem and different ways at looking at each experience. Infinite possibilities. Welcome, James. Enjoy your journey.
Welcome to the TOOL army bro! you will fit right in with us lol
The part of the lyrics that reference black then white are all i see in my infancy then red and yellow...look at baby toys, most are black and white with a little color. When we're born our newborn eyes can't process color yet, so its believed, as we grow the brain eye connection becomes stronger and are able to process different colors. The intro of the song reminds me of a fetal heartbeat. Makes sense that the lyrics start off mentioning infancy and it feels to me that the whole song is like a life story, birth, spiraling out and everything in between.
Yup! THIS IS THE ONE!!
Don't fret, am guessing there is sizable overlap between "thinks too much" & "likes Tool".
I can tell you that "thinks too much" makes for an interesting life.
Good luck man ! Thanks.
Newborns can only see in black and white, then as their eyes develop they can see red and yellow next - that's why so many baby toys are bright, blocky primary colors - that's what they can see at that age. So, in his infancy, black and white is all he could see, red and yellow then came to be.
Boys, we got another one. Welcome to the army. Do every single song, you wont regret it.
TOOL has 52 songs in their catalog. 52 equals Flood in E.O. Gematria. Aenema is about a flood that sends LA off into the Pacific or under it, thus creating Arizona Bay. 10,000 Days could be a timer. Exactly 10,000 days after the release of Aenima is February 3rd 2024. I think it's the day Arizona Bay is created. I'm prayin for rain, I'm prayin for tidal waves.......
Welcome to the Army!
Welcome to the club, my friend.
Love it! Spiral out! Keep going! 🌀
Gotta react to Aenema by Tool... It ROCKS!!!❤❤❤
Tool is my guru too my guy. cheers. you need to hear: the grudge. that song mentally helped me alot. Also Pnuema and Invincible. Welcome to the tool army brother. :) love from canada.
Subbed for TOOL. Tool Army here...
With you JB, enjoy the ride.
JB me and you are brothas from different mothas. Love you man
Welcome bro, the newest member of the Tool Army, just keep doing what you are doing and dive in face first down the Tool rabbit hole...
The power of Tool's music is intoxicating, much like a drug, but for your brain instead of your vein... 🤩🤘
I Highly recommend, (Tool - Descending) you won't be disappointed 😁👍✌️
Yeah. That's the appropriate reaction.
Spiral out, brother! The greatest, most unique band ever. Enjoy the rabbit hole. Try The Grudge next. Descending has gradually become my “favorite”.
This for me is the Tool song that is the greatest example of the message to overcome, rise above, and transcend. The use of the Fibonacci sequence is fantastic, but interestingly any two numbers you start with, adding the last two to get the next number in the new sequence will have the same connection to the Golden Ratio as Fibonacci. All such sequences can be used to generate the spiral, as well as fractal images. This math they are touching on in the song is found endlessly in the natural world. From snail shells, to the branching of blood vessels, and even things like population dynamics.
Welcome to the Tool Army!!!
LFG and Welcome
Your welcome. It's nice to see you have found our family. I'm glad you discovered TOOL. I feel bad for all those yet to to find them.
Told you so I knew you’d get hooked.
So glad you enjoy Tool sir. And I'm sorry, I know you hear this, but DANG you remind me so much of a young Jay Z. So many mannerisms, same genius behind the eye. Keep grinding sir.
"TOOL is on another level"... you got that right, brother!
Sunbed for your Tool journey. You will like Right in Two. But may want to listen to Intension with it. They fit.
TOOL is a metaphor for mind. It makes you think. They're next level!
Tool Army unite! ❤🌀👊🏻❤️🌀👊🏻❤️
Another great reaction and analysis!! I think Tool, is a path that you should dive into. The thought provoking lyrics and the wonderfully composed music are perfect, for you to dissect and discover. Rediscovering yourself and finding your passion, through music can be a wonderful journey.
Some first-nations cultures have red and yellow as the first colours to emerge from the dreamtime etc.
Awesome Reaction ❤.
You’re one of us now
I have two words for you... Spiral Out! Welcome to the fold
I can hear your passion for it in your voice.
Just remember, humans are crazy. Relax.
ohhhhhh. My guy. Another trooper for the army here boys.
8:52 is the best. LOLOLOLOLOLO. My guy was just like "wat da fuk?????" LOLOLOLOLOLO
Tool to open your third eye and free your mind as our Chakra aligns at the base of our spine don't forget to shine
Red and yellow then came to be is multifaceted in its meaning and application.
On the surface it refers to the divine fire 🔥 (red and yellow) giving you sight to see in world of color beyond black and white thinking.
It also deals with alchemy and the transformation and evolution of flesh. First black skin. Then white skin. Then red and yellow skin. That's the literal transformation we went through as humans.
I also found this tid bit elsewhere "the melanosis (blackening), leukosis (whitening), iosis (redenning) and the xanthosis (yellowing)"
I can't take credit for that information, I am merely a messenger but the take lines up with the occult themes of Tool's music.
It is as deep or as shallow as you wish it to be...keep going...ride the spiral.
Oh...and this is the May...beware the Revenge of the Fifth lol 😅
Good stuff
Really love your genuine reactions to Tool....Spiral Out
Toolarmy brutta buckle uo🔨💪🏻❤️

Dude, you got a fan. Sucks that I don't have any money atm to donate, all I can do is recommend Haken. Maybe start with Invasion from the album "Virus" =). Big cheers from Brazil. Keep going, TOOL is fucking amazing.
