Watch 4 Classic is made of stainless steel and the Watch 5 Pro is made of Titanium. That's why the Watch 5 Pro is lighter, even with a larger battery.
I was on the GW Active 2 and wanted to wait for the 5 Pro to become cheaper. But then the screen of the Active 2 went mad and I had to look for a quick replacement. 3 Weeks ago I found a Watch 4 Classic 46mm LTE off ebay from a commercial dealer for only 107 €. The watch was brand new but the original wrist band was missing. Got 4 silicon bands for 12 € to begin with, so I paid 119 €. For me a top deal.

Damn, that was some serious dirt on the watch on the left. Anyway if it's bulkier the sensor it means it'll make contact better with the wrist right , thus giving you better performance statistically is that not the case?
I returned my watch 4 classic last year due to bad battery life. I went back to my original galaxy watch and Was holding out for the 5. My sensors stopped working on my old watch so needed an upgrade anyways, wentbto get the 5 today as soon as it hit the shelves. I returned it 2 hours later lol, i can't stand the hideous design and no bezel, so i ended up going back to the watch 4 classic.
5 pro is ($800Australian)
4 classic is ($400)
Saved myself $400 for the exact same software plus a rotating bezel, it's worth sacrificing 1 extra day of battery.
Definitely no style

I Got an almost 3yr old Amazon Refurbished Gear S3 Frontier that last 2 days easily.
I bought a beautiful $164 Samsung Refurbished Watch 4 Classic & it wouldn't last a single day & that's with everything turned off or the heart stuff to manual mode. It went back in the box the next day.
I immediately traded it for the 5 Pro Grey Titanium. Samsung gave me almost twice as much for it in trade than what I paid for it.
So happy. I have everything set to On or Auto. I ended up paying $152 for the 5 Pro. Well worth it but it was during holiday sales.
I've been Wearing it now for 7hrs & I'm showing 96%!
After 4 days it's never dropped below 40%. If a Smartwatch doesn't last 2 days? It's not worth it. IMO 🤟
The Velcro $20 Ultimal Band from Amazon is the most comfortable band I've worn also.
I have skinny wrists & sometimes forget I have it on.
I Kept my beautiful Gear S3 for when I go out Saltwater Fishing here on the TX Coast.
That's some impressive bargain hunting. The classic must have been faulty but good that you were able to trade in. You will love the Pro!
Thanks for the detailed video. Is the GW5 Pro display more greying when off while the GW3 Classic is deep black while off. Have you applied any screen guard on the GW5 Pro or is it just the angle? It is greyish even when screen is on. Doesn't look like Amoled screen. Pls clarify.
The GW5 Pro has a screen Protector on.
Classic 4 lte is classic in all aspect's dont waste your money

The straps are interchangable, you do not have to clip them. Try from the bottom side of the watch I didn't have this issue at all.
I do say that it may be that you are able to but you can see the ends are longer on one than the other. I had the classic version 4.
Great video could you tell me how I could customize ringtones for individual people that's the way I have it on my phone how can I transfer it to my watch I have the five Pro also because the video shows great battery power I went and got this one thanks for helping me make my mind up
Hello. I have not tried it myself but you may have to add to ringtones as files on the watch first to be able to use them, restart so that the files are visoble on the watch and then select as ringtone. Not sure if you can set different ones for each contact though.
The curviousness of the bottom sensor seems to me would be of an uncomfortable feeling on the wrist. Over all I can’t wait for the GW 6! Hopefully then they will fix the so many misses on the design of the 5.
The design of the 5 Pro is not the best
This 5 is such a disappointment. I returned my GW4 classic as it was just too big. Here’s hoping version 6 fixes everything. Looking forward to the pixel watch. But I have heard it’s using a old chip. Plus, its bezel looks too thick for my tastes. So - looks like no smartwatch for me for another year.

Yes you can but I didn't see an improvement in speed.

Yes, utilised 5% points of battery per hour so possible.
The rounder backside is for a better sensor connection with your skin.
To alert you guys, how is Floor count with W 5 pro or even 5, mine doesn't count at all, Tech guys couldn't sort it out, together with Adaptive brightness, my watch thought I just landed on the Sun at midnight dead dark, it never dimmed the display.. So returned.

I have looked at floors and can see that some days I have them recoded and others not but I think floor count tends to be unreliable as it can be affected by factors like not counting when arms not moving.
Does the 5 HR monitor work better than the Pro4. The 4 has such irritating latency on measuring HR

What's the different between LTE and BLUETOOTH ?
LTE is like a phone network, like a sim card with capability to phone and text even if your phone is not in Bluetooth or range. So you could be in a different city and left your phone home, with LTE enabled Smartwatchs you can still make and receive calls, texts and replies through messaging apps. You can also access the Internet. If your phone battery dies, the Watch would still be capable of all that. Bluetooth only watch won't.

I could not deal with the smaller screen, and reflective saffire glass on the pro so I returned it. I will keep the watch 4 classic for now. It's battery life is improving.. I think they pushed out some kind of update. I'm finishing a day with 70 % battery life with conservative use. I charge my phone everyday so I don't mind having to charge the watch every day..... Even though it can get me through 2 days. I suspect it with further software optimization on the watch5, that the watch for might last even longer after it finally receives the UI update 4.5.
Hopefully we get a classic version of the five pro with a rotating bezel, gorilla glass instead of sapphire, and the screen that legitimately gives you the full 1.36 display. I hate the ring on the five pro that eats into the display size. That made the watch feel like it was not an upgrade.
The 1mm difference is really noticable?
The battery life made this a no brainer. Sorry, but remembering to charge every day and losing a full day if you forget is silly.

I use my Google Assistant a few times today and I drained the battery 16%. So yeah Google Assistant is a battery hog but sometimes you need it, especially when you have the LTE version
Turn off active listening
You can always disable, remove or turn off but the idea of an assistant is that it helps with voice activation when you are otherwise engaged, that is why I brought it up. Also, for the price of the SMARTwatches, one would expect better on smart features.
@@marufio This ^ When Google Assistant has "listen for wake" it's basically always on waiting, just map it to a button to launch it and you will get a lot less battery drain.

You are right titanium but not all over. I have my watch on all the time except when charging or bath/shower. I was taking it out for activities for content gor the channel and it's possible to get that dirty.

A fairly pointless video review if u refuse to either push the strap on the watch or move the strap because you don't want to 'loose' yr 'fine tuned' setting of your wrist strap. I thought your video was a 'review' video!
All views welcome. Reviewing also means pointing out issues and solutions without necessarily dismantling the watch. There are many review videos that are not even mentioning issues with the strap.
