Another major problem is that DC authors also have their own contradictory views of how the multiverse works. So to actually gage Superman’s power would take no less than a full research team as well as VERY careful application of feats and scaling.
The best thing to do is to look at Post, Pre, Golden, Silver and Death Metal Supes since he’s considered Superman’s main canon. Like how looking at Z and Super is Gokus main canon.
The thing is they want to make him SUPER but at the same time not enough that he is out of reach and physical world is just irrelevant in front of his powers.. In short they trying to portray a being with godly powers as normal as every other joe or earth.. That itself is contradiction and injustice to the character who is supposedly "SUPER" and above everything and everyone.

Superman's real power is just straight up plot armor. No matter who he's up against, the writers can just make him win and it works because it's an in universe thing. If you include xeno goku and the works, goku still doesn't stand a chance. Most people don't wanna base the fight off of the "I win" button but regardless the current superman scales far higher than the entire db universe. This isn't even remotely fair.

I love Superman and Goku. Two of my all time favorite characters. BUT, Goku would win. He's stronger, technically faster with instant transmission, and he has far more techniques at his disposal.

The reason why i am curious about that, is largely because of SSJRYU1's recent superman vs goku video where he does a deep dive into how inconsistent the universe of DC works. Infact i hope you watch it because it really makes you wonder and get confused, because the contradiction in-terms of how DC works is insane.
SSJRYU1's video is really bad and super biased against Superman.
- He argues Goku scales to Beerus despite the Manga making it clear he isn't close. Same goes for Arale.
- He doesn't bring up the DC Universe being infinite in size despite multiple statements.
- He doesn't accept that the DC Universe is Infinite Dimensional despite having statements.
- He calls the Fifth and Sixth Dimensional Spacial Dimensions despite them being Non-Spacial by the creator himself and in the comics.
- He claims that the Sphere of the Gods is not platonic while showing a panel that says it is. (The inconsistencies he talks about are from older comics that are retconned by new comics.)
- Lastly, he doesn't understand that Superman puts limits on himself.

So let's be honest, the carelessness Goku rights with at a certain point will make him destroy planets, hell even the universe maybe, we saw it against Beerus so it will happend against superman aswell. After that collapse superman , who doesnt need to breath, will be alive, Goku will die by loss of breath alone.
So that's the only thing i can personally go for, superman wins but only because of technicallity of space physics.
Even if we cheated and gave Goku both the ability to breathe AND infinite energy he'd still lose 10/10 against Superman, their levels of power aren't even close, Goku is a tadpole in his Universe's Ocean while Superman is THE Guy in DC.

Superman's Heat Vision alone closes holes in Time-Space, plus Goku would have no way to react to such an attack as A. He wouldn't be fast enough to dodge it and B. He wouldn't have any knowledge of it.

Both of their feats and scalings are highly inconsistent, so if they had equal stats then goku would win due to better skill i guess. But in non equal stats it would heavily depend on which version of each of them are we talking about as both of their strengths are highly inconsistent. This is not a good fight at all.
