When everyone told me even a full time mechanic it was a starter problem for me I knew I just knew it wasnt the starter I changed out the ignition switch in only like 10 minutes (the video made it super easy) and boom car started up no issues 🙏 thank you for this video it really helped alot

Thank you this was super freaking easy took me less then 30 min… I had a damn glitch that would not let me drive with ac / radio and a signal on at the same time…and if it was not coming from this it sure fixed it…

This helped me a lot, but after installing the key cylinder the key wouldn’t come out like yours. I had to depress an actuator to release it. Then once I hooked the battery up it was good to go. 2006 Cadillac DTS

hello sir very good video I was wondering I couldn't get the screwdriver to turn in when I put it in the lock cylinder, so I just stuck the key in with the cylinder and then I got stuck, do you have a way to pull the key out?

Would this process work if my key broke inside the ignition cylinder? Instead of taking everything out, the cylinder would be the only piece taken out correct?
do you have a video on how to remove a 2007 gmc acadia ignition lock cylinder?
I have a trans code with this?...is the ignition switch the one with the key with it or the little box with connector? I look up the part and I get 2 kinds of switches?

What is the function of that top white plug? The one with the two green wires.

It appeared you forgot to connect the first wire you disconnected. Orange wire.

How do I get the cylinder out if I cannot turn the key?
I used a set of channel lock pliers to 'get past the sticking' and then I was able to get it to the start location to depress the release and pull it out.
Having the same issue , how did you get yours out ?

Switch this part with new one now my 2012 Chevy ecpress van won't start.

+dan NEWYORK If the ignition is in the on position and you can remove the key from the ignition switch, it's worn out. Then yes you should replace the ignition switch.

Followed every step to the video but my vehicle won't start now....
Hay so my charging system is good but van will start then i will shut it off 10 min later then go to start again and it acts like battery is dead then got to jump it but it doesn't do that all the time just once in a while it's like crazy there's nothing on draining it check the charging system everything's perfect I would just solve the problem 09 Chevy Express van
Have the same issue in my suburban. Today it actually turned the truck off and on about ten times while driving. Complete power loss like dead battery. Half second later it would fire back up without touching anything. Ut did this repeatedly until I shut it off let it sit for ten minutes. Then it fired up and drove great for another hour. What a ride
