Girl…I LOVE your videos! I’ve watched all of them multiple times! I just love you vibe, your home is beautiful, and I love when you and lexi spend time together! 🥰🥰 You have quickly become my favorite planty RUclipsr! I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos! You rock!🤘🏻💚
Love your Thai Con. I got mine in August 2023 from the Netherlands. I was surprised because the plant I got was bigger than I expected. About the same size as yours was. I planted mine in PON, and gave it a birch tree trunk (found it in a forest near my home) as a support. The plant is about 1 metre from a south facing window, but there are large plants right next to the window, so when the sun shines it gets bright light with some dappled direct sunlight. Also it gets light from grow lights for the many days we don’t have sunshine over here in Lithuania. The plant has given me 5 big new leaves, just beautiful. Oh, I wrapped the bottom of the pole in cling wrap to protect from rotting. I also have under floor heating and I use a humidifier. In winter my room temp is around 24 degrees and the humidity level is between 50% to 60%. So far so good, no pest issues, and not repotted so far. By the way, do you soak or buffer your Coco husk to remove the salts?
Your Thai is Gorgeous! I've got a little one that I'm growing in Pon in a self watering planter. I just uppotted it and the roots were beautiful! I'm so grateful. It started to fenestrate with the second leaf it gave me and that one is currently very pregnant. I can't wait for the next leaf! I thought about switching it to a coarse mix but it's doing so well in semi-hydro that I didn't want to tempt fate. Thanks for another informative and enjoyable video!
@myjunglestory Just my opinion, the pot you are using doesn't feel big enough, like the photo you attached in the video, it looks like in the next 3-4 months the pot will feel small again. Based on my experience, monstera deliciosa and monstera thai grow like creepers/crawler and do not climb if they are not given wooden sticks or moss pole/ climbing plants 😊💚
@ it’s probably is too small, but it’s all I got at the moment. I agree, I also find their roots are too thick and the plant gets too heavy for a moss pole 💚
As soon as you got to the pest section I said I bet thrips lol that was the only pest that I’ve encounter with my Thai as well after a few months of having it but was easily taken care of with a systemic and haven’t happened again knock on wood
There was ONE thai constellation in the wild, which had tissue samples taken. These are now the "same" monstera thai constellations as the one in the wild. People are going absolutely crazy with man-making numerous beautiful varieties by introducing radiation and taking hundreds of cuttings and trimmings in search of a specific look.
I recently got a thai that's in the corner of my kitchen (my kitchen faces a south facing window, the kitchen receives bright indirect light anyway) but! I have 2 regular monsteras on my kitchen windowsill and they are getting full direct UK winter sunlight and they are thriving, new leaf growth, no sign of wilted or burnt leaves. would you jump the gun and move the thai to that windowsill too or just keep him in the corner like a naughty child?

Yes with systemic it is taken care of easily.

It’s insane how many there are. I can’t keep up every time I go online I feel like there’s a new one 🫣
I just bought mine for 6$ so lucky 😱
That is lucky!

I would move it! Because of the variegation it will really appreciate that extra light 💚

I just lost one of five leaves since I got mine in May. No leaves growing. I am sad😢
Oh no 😢 I hope this care guide helps 🤞🏼
Oh no its not slowgrowing. Mine is growing fast ins Sweden right now with growlights. But is it crawling.
Ja Seriously underestimated how quickly mine has grow. You can let this one crawl but you can also let it climb

Sounds like a happy monstera 😍
As for the coco husk, I don’t do anything to it.
