This might possibly be the worst instruction video of all time. I wanted to disable the brake safety switch. There was no instructions here whatsoever as how to get to the switch. What a waste of my time.
Open the hood, below the dash, to the left of the large steering column gear , it’s bolted to the yellow body floor, underneath. You can see the threads of the bolt coming up from the yellow floor. Stick your hand under the body where the brake lever is and you will feel it, can’t see it by looking underneath it though.
25 yrs ago I bought a craftsman (15?) h.p. lasted until two yrs. ago..bought a cub cadet 22 h.p. xt1 which I've hated second time i used it..oh, craftsman tractor, how I miss you so much..
Good gawd get to the point. 22 minutes with 1 minute of info. Another I had to block. An engineer? Wadding wires in a switch connector? Wire nuts?? Quit your job!
Great job! I have watched at least half dozen videos on this mower as I intend to buy one in the Spring. I learned more here than all the others put together.
remove switch from seat, [ leave it plugged in ] hold button in,drill hole through sideways, put a cotter pin in the hole, [ it holds the button in ] job done.
Now do a video on how I can disable my car's air bags and the requirement to wear seat belts and the requirement to be in park or neutral before I can crank and start the engine..
I’m an engineer too. But I can tell you graduated to management… and probably wasted everyone’s time with long winded, purpose-less meetings. My goodness, that was the worst instructional video I’ve ever watched… and I use the word “instructional “ very loosely!
Its the reverse Im always forgetting about. so thats got to go go go. Im suspicious about my seat switch - used to be the mower would have a delay time maybe 3 seconds but now it kills the ignition circuit immediately. As soon as i lift away up from the seat it dies.
2 points: You know, the seat switch irritates me too, but if you think about it- if you have the cruise on and have a medical episode, or get stung by a bee, or mow on a steep hill--whatever--and you were to fall off your tractor while mowing, that switch shuts it off. Otherwise he tractor keeps going, blades engaged, to wreak havoc on anything in its path. Might be best to deal with the irritation on that one. Next, if you set the emergency brake you can get off and the tractor will stay running. The PTO shuts off, but at least you can keep the tractor running and save unnecessary starter wear.
We're watching this video because we did think about it: we DON"T want those safeties. Some of us take calculated risks, like all successful people do. A man's brain is the chief safety. If an engineered one from those that are government or corporate driven make the machine more risky due to irritation, schedule, cost, system failure, etc., then we look for alternatives such as re-engineering the machine. This country was built by intelligent-designed men, not children, including some troubles in the process.
My xt1 is a piece of garbage since a year old. Leaky axel seals, mower engagement won't engage, starter is weak. I'm so ready to buy a professional mower.
Hey. WHY USE 30 WORDS WHEN 3000 WORDS WILL BETTER. WE Do not care what your cadet cost or how much many acres you mow, or that your 9 year when you started moving , Don't Care!!!!!!! Need fix info not your Mouth Running about everything else. Do Better, or Dont Do

GET ON WITH IT!
He better be a great engineer. He has no future making youtube videos. Loves the sound of his own voice.
Wish you would show us how instead of just talking about it. Thanks.

I’m an engineer. Probably for GM. Ive read his manuals. So close to great info til he sends you to other unlisted videos.
At least link the vids!

The only thing less useful than this was that I watched 2/3rds of it in hopes you would get to the point.
Hey, I do the same. I recently switched to the cub cadet, and I can say I have been satisfied with mine.
22 minutes of my life ill never get back and dont know anymore than when i started
Nice picture of the brake pedal. Does anyone know where this brake safety switch is located? I can't find it.
The seat switch is irritating me. I have to shift my weight going up a hill and it shuts my mower off. That's unsafe on its own

I have the same mower, I called the business I bought it from yesterday for a starter, they wanted $380.00 for a starter.
Correction, mine is a xt2
Care to share where these switches are and removal?
Question: Can you set the parking brake and bypass all the safety switches?
I just put a hose clamp on the switch under the seat. Just tighten the plunger closed
Great vid

What could go wrong with disabling safety switches
18HP (18 Horse Power). HYDRO= Hydrostatic drive.
where is the brake switch located
Show your work 😂
Clear as mud.....my word.
Now I forgot what he was babbling about 😢

@@JQUICK21 Or, smarter yet, you could just let some safety elements remain in place as a precaution. But you do you.

@@stephencrouse6032Cheers!
Loved it! Thank you!
1. Stop taking too long to get to the point. 2. Yes it's your mower and you have the right to be stupid.
Way too much talking. Not enough doing.🤦🏻♂️

Get a cameraman!!!
fuck that warranty i want a mower that runs.
i agree with that "(- . -)"

If you wreck that harness under seat, you have to buy the whole harness for mower,Cub cadet dies not sell a separate harness.such bull
This is so lame, don't waste your time.
ummmmm annnnnnnnnnn ummmmmmmm 22 minutes for 6 minutes of info.
A 7 or 8 or 9 mm….worst instructional video ever
