    Honestly maybe the most sensible setup I've seen on YT. Looks actually really versatile and comfy to hang out in. Milwaukee Packout and camping is my favorite stuff, lol.
    We've had some terrible weather this summer here in Ohio, but that seems to be changing now. Hopefully will be getting out there soon.

    “Simple setup” 1000% “Basic setup” NO WAY and I mean that with respect. Using the pack outs make this an amazing setup. I never could get onboard with the packout system. Don’t get me wrong I think they are a great system. Probably the best out there but for ME, I never had much of a use for them. This has changed my mind. I want a setup like this but dreaded the idea of taking several weekends to do a bunch of woodworking for my drawers to come out subpar or wishing I would have done something different the first time out. This system eliminates all these issues and saves a ton of time. You just earned a subscriber for this. Keep up the great work.

    • @gittngo
      @gittngo  Год назад

      Wow ! I really appreciate your comment.
      To be honest I would have never bought the packouts just for the camper build. I ended up switching jobs and no longer had a need for them in my work truck so that’s when the idea hit me to use them in my build.
      Again , I appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to check out my video. I’d love to see what you come up with for you own build. CHEERS !!!

    really cool idea with the packouts. I just made a first aid/trauma kit using two of the smaller ones and super happy with it. Still figuring how I'm gonna mount it in my truck though. One recomendation I'd make is getting some thick rubber weather stipping and running it along the sides and bottom of the tailgate. It'll keep a lot of dust out of your bed when offroading

      @@gittngoI thought the video was fine.....but make sure to do talking points from paper bullet points . Write on paper all the ideas you Wana communicate, before you turn on the camera ......just ten basic bullet points goes a long way. Then you don't have to film redundant things. It saves you time, and saves the viewer time.
      But I thought it was fine.....don't be bashful. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Height of the bed (before foam pad)
    2. Width of bed?
    I have a Toyota Tundra and i do not think i could sit on the bed without significantly leaning over. I am 5'10".

    • @gittngo

      I have my bed frame right flush with my wheel well which is 8” high. The width of the bed is 60” I am 5’6 and just fit while sitting up straight. I didn’t go with the higher topper because I need to reach the awning and be able to load my fishing kayak on the roof of the topper.
      Hope this helps.

    How do you stop dust from getting in the cap when off road

    • @gittngo
      @gittngo  Год назад

      I haven’t had too much trouble with dust yet but I have installed curtains in the back window that hang to the floor and that seems to stop the majority of the dust so far. I don’t have an issue anywhere eles besides the back.

    what are you using to attach the counter top to the packouts ?

    • @gittngo
      @gittngo  Год назад +1

      It shows in the video. I found some after market feet that slide into the top slots of the packouts. I screwed the feet to the bottom of the board and it slides in and locks in place.

      @@gittngo I have a Topwater 120 PDL and my daughter has a Sportsman 120 PDL. Absolutely love them. Injuries are starting to catch up to me now so I’m thinking about getting the AutoPilot though. I also really like the idea of Spotlock for fishing in the wind. I will definitely check out your other videos.

    Lol 5.0 bulletproof 😂😂😂 my 2014 work truck with this magical mysterious motor had 17 code pop up and throw itself into limp mode and needed a complete rebuild with 18,000 miles. May yours actually be bullet proof, but ours was not and I am actually a ford fan. That one failed us bad.

      Damn. That sucks to hear that. This is my third f150 and only issue I have ever had was an EGR valve on my 2001.

      I agree the tool box’s are pricey. I happen to switch jobs not too long ago and didn’t have a need for them in my new work truck. So that’s when the idea came to incorporate them into the build.
      There are other less expensive modular tool box systems out there like ryobi makes a set and rigid aswell.
      Thanks for checking out the video

      @mikeprater6898 I am a pretty chubby dude myself but you can build the bed as wide as you need. The side cabinet with the packout drawers could have been made a lot thinner aswell.
