- In this video I start a 3KW - 200ah power supply in a rolling Milwaukee Packout case. It has a 70A DC output along with all the necessary USB charging ports and lights. This build is the first part of a complete Packout system that will have Milwaukee battery charging, tunes, and a full work light setup. I'm building this in preparation for my move off grid.

I gave you thumbs up for thinking of fans to cool the box. Great idea.
I appreciate that!
Nice build .looks factory 👍
Thanks 👍
I was looking forward to building this box. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think,
it much better than one they selling brother nice video
When’s the next video?
@@ChilePicanteKornNvtz couple of weeks.
@@i.b.lancershould be any day now! Looking forward to it
I thought it was a review on a factory solar generator then found out Milwaukee doesn’t make one lol. Very nice work, can’t wait to see your finish video! Very cool
Thanks! 👍
Oh, Milwaukee does indeed make one, it is $2500 and it doesn’t come with the $600 each batteries, and it takes 4 of them…
Nice build! The fans remind me of how you would set up a generator shed
Ya, makes sense right?
@@i.b.lancer indeed!
Really enjoyed watching that. I have similar sized batteries from basengreen, hooentonfind a toolbox in which they fit. Milwaukee too expensive here in Europe.
One remark though. In your description box you speak of a 200Ah system. But you have 2x 100ah 12v batteries connected as a 24v system. Meaning you have a 100ah 24v system.
its good when you can build your own they sell them lot money nice work brother
This is a great setup, it gave me a lot of ideas for one that I am doing. Thanks for posting.
Glad it was helpful!
@i.b.lancer
Maybe, you could install a thicker aluminum plate instead of the thinner one to give the wire connector more wiggle room. Bunched up wiring can cause more problems down a bumpy road. ⚠️🔥
Been thinking of this idea for some timenow, and just came accross your video. AWESOME IDEA! everything I had in mind, but yet to do. Been planning on building a foamy camper for an E bike, and this will be my power supply. Thanks for the hard work being all done.
You might want to check out the following video. I made a smaller one that might be better for a bike. You would just have to upgrade it a bit. DIY Solar Power Pack. With Dual Charging.

Just found this channel. i'm subscribed and looking forward to seeing updates on the project!
Welcome and thanks for subscribing. The project was finished, here’s the video… Milwaukee Packout Portable Generator. W/ Solar Charging. Part 2 of the Ultimate Build.

Loving this one too! Hadn't thought of riv-nuts, but they surely do look neater than bolts. The custom instrument panel really makes it pop.
I'm wanting to do a 200AH system with a 3KW inverter in the Ridgid wheeled box. Still figuring out the math on everything. Thanks for all the ideas.
It's difficult to find batteries that can support more than 100 Amp output continuously. At 3 kW the dc voltage will sag a lot.
I seriously doubt if I will be pushing more then 2 kw through this little system. The 3000 watt inverter is more for the headroom. It was perfect for the project so I bought it.
Very nice neat build. I got a lot of tips and ideas on how to do mine, i particularly like the aluminum mounting plate. Greetings from Jamaica.
Ya mon, thanks for watching. 👍🏼
Nicest solar generator build I have seen
Thank you so much. Part two is almost ready.
Nice build. I like the box. Been looking for a box for my 2.0 build. But kind of hard to find a box for the batteries we have. Lol
Awesome project! Thanks for sharing and for the shout-out!
Thanks. You’re video was the inspiration for this project so the thanks goes to you.
Looks great. Craftsmanship
Love this ! Thanks for sharing. Ben is a GRATE guy! Feel blessed to call him a friend. Subbed !! God Bless !!
Thank you so much. 🙏
I'm actually starting on one of these right now. I built one out of a Pelican case and a couple ammo cans but I wanted something bigger. I went with the Husky version just because I bought the whole set for 180 and the Milwaukee would have been closer to 300
Yeah, they're not cheap. Let us know how it goes with your box build.. Thanks for watching.
Hey there hope you’re well. Still waiting for the rest of the belt
Yup, almost done. It's hard to get time to work on this project, I'm doing 60+ hours a week at my day job. Maybe one day this RUclips thing will make me enough money to just work on video projects but for now I work on it when I can. I appreciate you watching and will get it out as soon as I can.
Very nice build, top notch. Only complaint about the video was the music. Had to jump out of my chair and turn down the sound to keep from going crazy. 😁
Oh, is it too loud? My apologies. I’m still trying to figure this all out.
You should be able to lower the audio channel in your movie editor.
You have already answered this question. What is the total weight and cost of the build? Do you have the components already packaged to distribute? If been looking this diy project for the last month. You and one other person have the cleanest builds. Awesome job thank you in advance.
I’ve finally finished this build and I’m just putting the final touches on the video. So I weighed it today and it came in at 109 lbs.
Great job! I’m looking at having one built in to the next smaller PackOut with just the top handle. And having it built at the Festool SysPower bank spec. I think it’s 5000 watt but it’s extremely compact.
Nice project, well thought out
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video. When is part 2 coming out?
Working on it now. I don’t really have a timeframe right now because I’m working 65 hours a week at my day job. But I’ll get it finished as soon as I possibly can. Thanks for watching. 👍
Your inverter is dangerously oversized for your battery bank. The reason professionals and experienced people shy away from an all in one is the fact if one component goes out...your screwed and you have to replace the whole thing instead of quickly switching out one thing. You're learning....people who are unaware and lack knowledge make mistakes. Your next model will be better. Awesome sound quality on the video.
You're hilarious.
Nice power pack! I prefer the Milwaukee boxes over the RIDGID but the Milwaukee doesn’t fit in my truck bed with a tuneau cover
People have made the handle removable so it fits in with a cover. It takes 5 minutes to do.
Yeah I think they even come from the factory with a new handle
Great job, you should start produse and sell them online😊👍
Thanks.
@@i.b.lancerJust curious, if someone was to sell something like this, what would the approximate cost be? Great video bro!
I would probably have to sell it for $3000 just to get my money back.
@@i.b.lancer You’re an impressive dude!
It would be cool if you could make one today with links that are still available for sale.
Thanks for the rude heads up. I didn't realize that the thing was unavailable. They might of discontinued it, I'll have to look into it.
would love to get a link to the batteries you sourced … beautiful work!
Unfortunately, the batteries I bought are only available in Canada. Here's the link. amzn.to/3Ov7NFX
The closest thing on the American Amazon site I could find was this.... amzn.to/45m4eYD
But as of this writing it was unavailable.
Same goes with this one.. amzn.to/3BJZuyn
They all have that common small size which works in the packout box.
Pay close attention to the size of the batteries while you're searching in order to maximize the space in the box. I'm sure something will pop up for you. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Correct I ordered LI TIME 12v 100amp batteries they will not fit like how you have it, so you defanately need mini's @@i.b.lancer
I agree what kind of a lunatic Would have an 1 7/8 for ANYTHING?
Bwhahahaha!!! Don’t remember why I even have it but it’s pretty funny.
Nice job!☺️
Thanks! 😊
Looking forward to the updated video finish, do ou have an ETA for uploading this?
I’m hoping for next weekend. Fingers crossed.
I purchased these boxes to do the same thing. I could not make myself cut holes in it. Now it sits here full of tools
Do it… Do it!!
the first one is alway the hardest
Did you put out another video showing it working ? How much was the whole thing cost ?
I'm still working on it.. The day job is taking up a lot of my time but I'm working on it whenever I can. Cost is just over $2000 Canadian.
I dont know what you decided to do with that alum. face plate but you asked... Id round the corners and chamfer all the edges or at least round off the edges so it doesnt have that 90° edge that says home made. I bought a rivnut rig because of you. Ive been wanting one for at least 40 years. Ive got some double walls on this Dewalt box im using. No sheetrock screws allowed.
I ended up just leaving the plate as is. Nobody’s said anything about it. They all think it looks great, so I’m happy about that.
Careful, rivnuts can be addicting.
Good luck with your build.
Part II any time soon ???
Working on it. So yes, soon.
install a back car number plate light inside for some light when working in the dark with a turn on button.
Thanks for watching. If you check out the part 2 video you will see that I installed 4 of those lights inside. With switch.
Been thinking about getting one of these boxes for my build. Would like to add 2 100ah lithium batteries in it. Standard size. But not sure if it will hold it.
Be very careful when picking batteries for this box. Depending on the inverter you’re going to use, it will be very easy to buy batteries that are too large. Plan your build out carefully. Good luck.
Yea that's where I'm running into the problem is making sure everything is going to fit. My 1st box fit an 115ah AGM battery group 31. And a renogy 1000w inverter inside and the box that went over is used for the Epever charge controller the BT unit and fuse block.
Have a question can I build this with both options of being charged by a wall unit and solar
As long as the inverter will except both, yes
All in, how much was this build?
Just off the top of my head I would have to say about $2600 usd in parts and many hours of labour.
Nice-cost-time vs Evo Flow Delta 2 2000 watt 5 year warranty?
Well, mines 2400Wh, 3000 watts, infinitely expandable. Took 4 months to build and cost twice as much as the unit your referencing. Plus mine has a ton more features then the Eco Flow. You can't really compare them. Thanks for watching.
Yeah me too!
Cool
With this unit, could you power an air fryer?
Absolutely. Although you may want to consider a healthier lifestyle. 😂
Great job ! I have another box . Can you send me a wiring diagram about hardware connection please? Thank you very much
Sorry, I have no drawings for this build.
How can I charge it with out solar just A/C
Correct, just plug it into the wall.
What size rivnuts did you use?
They were just little guys.. like 1/4”
How much money did you spend on the solar pac out box
About $2,200 American
Love it
Right On, thanks for watching.
@@i.b.lancer your welcome
Sir,If the all in one inverter requires 48 volts DC, how are you getting 48 volts DC from 2each 12 volt batteries.?
It’s a 24v inverter. Where did you get 48v from?
Why a dc to dc? And not just a 12v inverter?
Dc to dc converter because it’s a 24v system and one of this box’s intended uses is 12v battery charging. There is an inverter. 24v inverter. Had you actually watched the video you would of known all this.
What will this power on job site. Can it run a router. Circular saw. Sorry if dumb ?
Yes to both. It’s a 3000 watt inverter.
@@i.b.lancer what if I don't want solar. What if I want to do it as a charge at home and bring to site for emergency back up.
@@ferrarionemr It has plug in charging… Did you even watch the video?
Yes I did. I meant to say if I did it without the solar. Hoping to copy this but just as a plug in and only a outlet.
How much do you charge to build me one like in the video?
Only problem with the AIO is if it breaks every feature is lost
Yeah, all AC will be down. The DC stuff will still function. But I’m glad to report that I have been using this box a ton over the last month and it’s been working great. 👍
1 7/8" is 75mm
That’s awesome. Good to know. 👍
Can you prepare a diagram for me?
Sorry, I can’t
You should’ve used thick plexiglass instead of the metal plate.
It’s aluminum and it looks stellar.
You could easily make and sell these
One thing mising from you amazon list is the shunt.
Thanks for pointing that out… I have put the link in the description.
@@i.b.lancer thank you. Awesome build and setup. I need to make one. I’m still trying to get up more funds to build something for myself.
