I've had mine for nearly two years. It has seen some serious "field work" in Peru and sailing overseas. Definitely put a NATO strap on it or you might lose it. That said, it has been great, but has one major drawback. The mineral crystal will scratch. Its only a matter of time. It's when, not if. Expect this, unless you want to keep it mostly safe somewhere.
Excellent feedback and thanks for watching. I've been meaning to get a NATO strap for it, just need to pick a color or two, lol. If I ever make a longer-term review down the road I'll make sure to mention the scratching / potential to lose the watch if one of the spring bars fails... hoping not to run into those problems though!
Yeah. I’m an airplane mechanic and have been wearing my garrison for about 2.5 years. The crystal is definitely scratched up, but it’s not too bad. I had originally bought a nato strap when I got the watch, but about a year ago I got a metal expanding strap(think twist-o-flex)and will not be replacing it unless the current strap breaks. I generally don’t have to adjust the time except for daylight savings. I LOVE my garrison. I might get a sapphire crystal for it sometime soon.
I totally agree about the band. I absolutely love the way it looks but I just can't get the right fit with it. I switched to a single pass Zulu and it works like a charm.

These are definitely classic. All the looks, and Citizen quality. Too bad about the strap holes...it looks great!

This is such a cool watch, pretty much perfect. Well done Citizen
Look at getting some nato or MN straps, that watch would be a strap monster with the black dial.
Thanks for the solid callout, I'll probably pick up a couple of those NATO straps.. looks like great options and price
If you buy this watch, buy a different strap at the same time. I have not heard of anyone who likes that one that comes with the watch.
