When l see Itzhak Perlman play l remember my father Abram Chertkoff who taught violin at Royal Conservatory of Music and played 1st violin in the Hamilton,Ont. Orchestra...also later Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He was my teacher(at home every day was a lesson for me) and my mentor. He memorized the music and played the same as Perlman(same expressions etc.) I have a violin, l practice every day. I always wish l could be a concert violinist and travel the world performing like Pearlman. It's a dream❤

But rarer are the performances where the emotional message is so clear and well formed that one truly feels as if he or she are part of a conversation. When I can actually feel my thoughts and emotions reacting, not just from association or memory, but forward to create a new concept. That is when I dim a performance truly masterful. Bravo.

Thank God for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! With a gift such as he possessed he must indeed have been loved for God (ama-deus). It is hardly believable that this small, fragile, bewigged man from Salzburg could produce in a mere 36 years some of the most beautiful music ever written.
