    I would say that you cannot play Painted World as another copy of Easy Mark if you had one beneath you. Easy Mark says play another copy of Easy Mark from your hand and when the game checks to see if there is an Easy Mark in your hand, there is only a Painted World. It's essentially the same point as Uncage The Soul; you can Uncage The Soul to play a Painted World on a non-spell as when the card is in your hand it is a spell; therefore you cannot use Painted World to chain Easy Marks as when it is in your hand it is a Painted World.

    Good list! Another investigator that I always enjoy building around is "Ashcan" Pete. The facts that he starts with an "almost ready" fighting and investigation package with Duke, has a unique readying ability that can cast a lot of cards in a new light, gets the versatility of his Dunwich investigator build rules, and also has a "leftover" action every turn even when he's taking two Duke actions that he can fill with something different gives him a ton of potential. One of my first really effective combo-based decks as my cardpool was growing bigger was a Pete deck that used the combo of St. Hubert's Key, Yaotl and the Desperate cards to push skill tests, and he's just as open to tons of other fun survivor strategies.

    One of my favorite (and most successful) Agnes builds uses Ornate Bow. You normally want to play Peter Sylvestre in Agnes, and Track Shoes is a pretty good card without helping you be a better archer. I played through solo Return to Forgotten Age blind with that build and made it all the way to the last scenario. Came close to winning but fell short at the finish line.
    You can deal with 3 health enemies efficiently, spending one of your actions reloading before using Rite of Seeking isn't too bad when the symbols might have made you lose actions otherwise. Because you're purple you can also have a backup 'weapon' in the form of Shriveling, etc. Basically, you've got a lot of specific amounts of damage to consistently try for and something like Forbidden Knowledge can finish something off without a test. 😎

    Bryn: I don't think there are any assets in the game, that he is allowed to play and are bad in his deck.
    Well… Henry Wan won't get any better in Dexter's deck for sure xP

      Henry Wan almost ties with The Devil XV for worst asset in a Dexter deck.

    Great vid! Thanks, I like that you put Agnes on there, as she is on the first set of investigators I am using I will say she has some remarkable capabilities.

    Great vid! What is the alternative to "trying it in a full campaign"? Do you just mean a single scenario or Dream Eaters?

    It's great to see the interaction between this and the staples. In some cases, the staples supplement the different builds, and in other cases they push away from them.

    I love this list! What's the "desperate" build you mentioned for Patrice?

    • @EpicSaouce25
      @EpicSaouce25 3 года назад +1

      Desperate builds are built around getting your sanity to 3 or less as quickly as possible so you can start using the desperate skills with 4 icons on them. Patrice can easily get to low sanity by taking 2 arcane research and playing St. Hubert's Key, and then because she is constantly cycling through her deck she sees the desperate skills very frequently.

    Fun list! Personally, I would have rather put Amanda than Mandy into it, but the rest are great picks. Mandy is, however you build her, still always a seeker, possibly more or less in the support role. Amanda can get really well build as a monster fighter as well, with all the juicy guardian practice skills and the acid solution.

    Would be helpful if you had the text box on screen when talking about cards. Not all of us have them memorized and it’s inconvenient to have to pull them up separately.

    I've played 7/8 of these (no Yorrck yet). Patrice has been my #1 since Arkham 2nd. I love building and playing Lola though as well so her hate on this channel always makes me a bit sad.

      I assume that painted world is not easy mark while it is in your hand so you can't play it for free.
