A few more details to add:
- The Kuttenberg map will be a little bit bigger than the KCD 1 map, the Trosky castle map will be a little smaller than the kcd1 map. So in all both maps make it double the size of the first game.
- Theirs only one loading screen between the two maps. Beyond that they have no loading screens!
- Warhorse confirmed that Kuttenberg is under siege by Sigismund during the gameplay
- Blacksmithing is getting added to the game.

They've also said the game will be more diverse. Don't think that will fix the eurogamers etc of the world who think that Africans are needed in every game. By diverse they mean Germans, Poles, Austrians being part of the game.
@@coolstorybrooooo7643well they tried to bait Warhorse again like last time and Warhorse didn’t take the bait and didn’t confirm what Kotaku, Eurogamer etc wanted, regardless of their headlines. These “journos” are bad people and want to create a scandal. It will be diverse in the sense that there will be Cumans (Turkic people) and Germans (very dominant in Kuttenberg) and Czechs and and more (possibly a Jewish minority in Kuttenberg?). You know things that actually make sense in the setting. As Warhorse said in their very diplomatic PR response to the loaded question (obviously taking aim at Vavra), they want to create believable worlds based on historical information. Not what these journalists think…

You seem like one of the people getting scared if someone used the word "wokeness"
@DerschwarzeRabe777 might need to look this up didn't hear about this issue. Not sure what being woke has to do with a historically based game. They were not in that time I assure you. I have no problem with the viewpoint in some cases but needs to make sense.

Can it beat Skyrim?
@@recklessgaming2369 Skyrim is a different beast, fantastic, this is purely realism and it depends what you like I guess, i prefer this more realism experience and combat. Nothing to compare there.
This is the only game developer that I would legitimately donate money to outside of just purchasing the game

@@koda236 Heresy.
@koda236 theif!!!!
@@koda236congrats man! steal a product that people spent years of hard work and have put their passion into.
I kinda did, I bought it three times, doing my part.
Dude this is insane, we never get such a game presentation, its a lot of work, and truly shows how much love went into this project and the first game...
I only had one notable complaint about the first one. The fast travel screen needed to be sped up. I imagine that issue has been vastly improved for the sequel. We're looking at a likely 10/10. This was an unexpected announcement, that means the game is done. The last 6 months is usually dedicated to looking for bugs and glitches. I'm so glad they were able to continue forward with a sequel.
@@Chimchimchu fast travel should be removed entirely such a dumb mechanic for a game like this dumbs the game down in other assasins creed like games or the games where world is empty it's ok to fast travel bcs it's just walking simulator. KCD world map was felt alive and you could discover new things.
I love that the last few minutes of the presentation is literally just a concert performance of some of the music. Actually stunning.
@@DarkMSGyou can play on hardcore but even so you can choose to not use it, its just an option for players who do like it and use it. I always use it but I get what you mean, I will play on hardcore soon and I will try my best without it bcs like this I can explore more
I remember when I was reading PC Gamer in the late 90's or 2000 and it was interview with Daniel Vavra about upcoming Mafia game and one question was what game he would really like to make and his answer was a medieval game but realistic, no fantasy. So KCD is definitely a passion project for him.
Let's replay KCD 1 and be ready for part 2.
I allready did two years ago 😂
third time the charm it will be for me
While I already have 700 hours into the first, I will gladly join you. I feel quite hungry.
@@copperypuddle3858 That some rookie number. You gotta pump those numbers up at least 1000 hours like I have
@@Kadivous I probably would have but I as interrupted by having children and owning a home
The goosebumps are insane. I’m so unbelievably exited both because the first game is literally my favorite game of all time it’s actually phenomenal. Also because I’m Czech and my family is from Bohemia as well. This game is about to be insane
The departure from the common fantasy/dragons and magic variety of rpg is the best part. The player is transported to another time and place, and immersed in a beautiful living world with a massive amount of content to explore and discover. The combat is equally immersive. When I was first confronted by hiding bandits, I was scared! The story line itself was impressive and left us craving more. Now we are getting it! So so so pumped!
The first game blew me away, and this looks even better. Now, this is something to get excited about
The instant preorders are available I’m snagging the most ultra deluxe package they offer. I regret not funding the kickstarter for the first game, I’ve logged over 1,600 hours in it. This game announcement has made my 2024.
I agree x3
Same
When I first played KCD I was so aggravated with the combat that I stopped playing after a few hours. Then a few months later I watched a combat breakdown video and thought "Let me give this another chance" and I am SO GLAD I did. I friggin loved this game! Yes, there are things I would like changed, but I hope they don't stray too much from the original. This trailer has me so hyped for KCD 2 and it is coming 2024!!!!!!! (Hopefully) ;)
Which video is that because I need it! 😅
I love the combat. To this day, KCD1 is one of the most unique RPGs ever made. This is only going to heighten everything we saw and felt in KCD1.
Same. I bought it when it first came out and hated it. Came back to it months later and fell in love
same combat was really hard in kcd 1 I also quit playing with it until I downloaded a save files that before henry leave skalitz he already max strength and some of its stat and that how I enjoy the game lols hopefully KCD have options to lower the difficulty in combat where casual player like can also enjoy it
Yeah Henry going from an untrained nobody to being a bad ass was a tricky investment of time but rewarding when you did.
This looks awesome, hope they ignored the haters and haven't dumbed down on any of the previously seen mechanics.
Combat could've been a little more streamlined perhaps but the mechanic was awesome and unique, maybe add a more flashed out survival mechanic and a variety of roleplay options.
Jobs and guilds etc.
Alchemy was the coolest thing. I feel like the only thing that was missing in the first title was a variety of enemies. Some dangerous animals. Some legendary stuff. Maybe some more gritty quests that deviate from the knight in shining armor narrative.
Can't wait for this.
I wouldn't mind a 'few' quality of life/streamlining improvements for ease of purpose. Not dumbing down dramatically, but just...making it a bit more fun to engage with, mechanically. I eventually came to love the game, but I feel it could've come to me faster if it wasn't quite as...clunky, in certain aspects?
But I mean I'm not unrealistic, KCD was made with like 11 people, originally? It was a tiny team for such an ambitious game, and by all accounts they've expanded considerably.
Should've added in some 'Hey, Henry's come to see us' quotes
Such an overused joke
@@skankhunt4220 Well, if they didn't add that and some other equally famous quotes in the sequel, many will be disappointed.
@@skankhunt4220it’s not used enough and never will be

Henry is looking more and more like his dad
Who? It's Yeshua, or Joshua. Tell your friends, it's worth a Google..
@@joshalmightyblades oh I edited my comment but I would encourage you to play the game so you get the reference. No worries!
Im so happy that the "teasers " from years ago turn out to be not real. It is a continuation to Henry's story and hopefully a worthy conclusion on his quest for revenge. Will defo replay KCD for a 3rd time now.
Anyone else catch the throwback at 7:09 when Henry says hes worried about the water being too deep? He says that in KCD when you try to venture into water which is "too deep".
KCD is one of my all time fave games and there is nothing else like it out there, in my opinion. So ready for KCD2 and still can't quite believe it has finally been announced, after years of speculation.
yeah lol thats some attention right there my friend
I had some xp with Motion Capture and love KCD2 's seriously fluid, accurate animations and movement and fight choreography - it does the realistic style of the narrative justice. Kudos Warhorse!. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
Wow I just didn't stop smiling the entire trailer...I can't wait man
Hope they announce KCD 2 comes out this year! let the dreams come true! :D
I think it will come out soon. They've been working on it for a while now.
If they announce it, it almost certainly won't come out this year. KCD was first revealed six years before it eventually released
@@ltspyder2177 I don't suppose they'll surprise us and say it's out right now😂

I'd love it if they've included being able to see yourself eat and drink, clean your hands and face. Also things like : knocking on doors, feeding your horse, leading your horse by the reigns, cleaning your weapon. Also more birds.
So excited for this.
Soo proud to be czech, thanks to Vávra and his team for creating good image, about our Country

We all hoped that KC2 could have Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg) city or Kolín, I can't believe they really did it! I hope there will be both cities, but that would be probably too much for them. I wonder if KC2 taking place in Kutná Hora will somehow be presented in medieval celebrations which take place there in june.
1:28 - no, it's not Prague, it's Kutná Hora and it's not actually a bridge 😀
Thank you warhorse, was seriuosly beginning to think a sequel to my favorite game would never happen, but wow i'm blown away.
I'm so happy! I'm a star citizen backer and it's amazing to see another Kickstarter game from the same era that not only over delivered what they promised but self funded a sequel! Bravo Warhorse!
I loved the 1st one, so it will be a pre order for sure, no matters if the game have some issues at launch. i think it's a duty to sustain such passionate and talented developers
Well that’s it I gotta go back and play KCD while I wait impatiently
I would love Warhorse to do a realistic Viking game next - set during the early raids
making a game about their homeland is a big part of the magic, it would lose a lot of that imo
@@SonsOfDeForest ah ok, good point. I wish someone would make a realistic Viking game though, lol
@@t-rexreximus359 for sure. would be cool to do something when vikings came to north america before columbus. viking vs indians meets dances with wolves or something
@@SonsOfDeForest great idea! - the first Vikings in North America would be an epic setting / game!
This is going to be my first pre-ordered game this year. Warhorse Studio be praised!❤
Kingdom come is how I found your channel in the first place.
Let's hope that we get more beautiful full plate, historically accurate, FUNCTIONAL armor that ACTUALLY make you nearly invincible like in real life. Oh, and can we please have ACTUAL BLOOD in this game? Every single time you defeat an opponent in the first one, blood and gore is just non-existent.
This is pod racing!
Im so stoked for this game. The first one was a masterpiece and a true medieval simulator. I hope the fine tune the sword play and make theives and knife wielding assassins more of a force to be reckoned with. I really want a sneaky character that can take out a fully armored knight with some well placed stabs between armor plates.
KCD 2 and manor lord in the same year. Man we eat good this year
My favorite aspect, by far, was the character progression. The game took the player skill into consideration in ways few others have.
1. The balance of armaments and armor was, to my mind, perfect. You had to work to earn better equipment, OR you had to be skilled (or occasionally lucky) enough to take down an enemy carrying it, and then you risk often getting damaged gear.
2. The skill tree was so much more than just ticking off perks that added numbers to a dice roll. The skills added meaningful bonuses and actual changes to the gameplay, and the game forced you to consider carefully the pros and cons of each perk that you select, or pass over.
Even the combos, once learned, had to be practiced. It did no good to simply check the box. You, as the player, had to then learn to use those combos effectively, against the appropriate enemy and in the right circumstances, which also meant learning to make snap decisions in combat and spot 1-second openings. And that was only if you'd spent enough time in the first place to use the weapon effectively beyond awkward, heavy handed swings.
In the end, it wasn't just Henry that was growing and learning. It was us. And the payoff was that when you finally took down 5 tough enemies ganging up on you utilizing sword skills honed over hours of play and practice, you felt you'd earned the victory, and had gained actual skill.
You level up and it increases the chances of you landing a hit. It was mostly Henry leveling up. Played it for 97 hours.
I swear to god, last night before I went to sleep I looked up to see if KCD 2 was ever announced and I was super disappointed to see nothing online about it because I loved KCD 1 and haven’t played it in years and BY SHEAR COINCIDENCE I see Danny talking about the trailer on my recommended the very next day! 😂😂😂😂😂 I think god heard my prayer.
ESO I’ve watched u since I was 14 learning about Skyrim and just wanted to say thank you from the community. You’re words and wisdom have carried and progressed all my play throughs from Bethesda every year since then. I have a pretty big following from tiktok (sadly) and just want to say I’ve learned everything I got from you. Thank you big bro🙏🏼
I personally felt that one on one combat was amazing but when fighting multiply enemies it got clunky, I really hope they fix that and add more one on one duels. I loved the game though and am really excited for the second one. Also large scale battles with lots of enemies and allies and horse combat would be amazing!
7:11 "I'm more worried about it being too deep" Henry learns to swim? Maybe possibly?
Tips of you want to get into the first game but think its too hard: 1. Train withe Bernard in Rattay as much as possible 2. Pick up the sword laying on the ground next to the baliff the first time you visit Skallitz after the raid (Henry will mention seeing the Baliff, just don'tforget to grab it!). 3. Coat your swords and other weapons in poison, it will make combat a lot easier... Too easy at a certain point if we are being honest🤣
I loved playing KCD1 and I hope you can transfer your decisions and inventory to KCD2.
So Henry and Hanz were actually based on the actor, they look exactly the same!! Man I can't fucking wait for this game! And indeed KC : Deliverance is by far the best medieval game out there and the graphics are still stunning to this day!!
I'm glad they kept the combat mecanism just maybe a bit more accessible and the fact that it is what it was meant to be in the beginning is amazing. Every little aspect they've talked about in this video got me freaking excited for this game!!
I spent a lot of time in Kingdom Come Deliverance to make my Henry into a millionaire in that medieval world.
I am going to do it again in KCD II. I can't wait until the release date.
What i love about the combat on the first game is that it makes you feel like your not just spamming the mouse until you beat the crap out of the enemy but your actually trying to fight with swords and trying to survive the battle and not just mindlessly swinging. I hope they retain that same feeling in the second
This will 100% be my game of the year. Playing through the first game about the 5th time right now lol. I have purchased it multiple time on console and PC throughout the years. I hope many more people play the second game and I encourage others to play the first before the second is released. It's that good of a game that it's worth a playthrough right now. You will be addicted for weeks.
I honestly liked the fact that Henry feels like just a guy who got caught up in stuff instead of some destined Hero who will save the day. I'll be interested to see how they plan to continue Henry's story as by the end of KCD 1 he is much more skilled than he was at that start.
It was SO immersive. People had jobs, hobbies, sleeping patterns, and romances. Fons quickly went from rich noble jock to best friend. The castles and landscapes were so true to history. Much love for the journey!
I only played part of KCD 1, to Prybislavitz, but I'm going to pick up II right away. A fantastic combat system, beautiful world to explore, variety of weapons -- now with the addition of the hand-gonne!
Geezus I’m still playing Dragons Dogma 2! Can’t even imagine a new Kingdom Come game now
Pretty much done with DD2. On my sixth playthrough. Not much else to do and the low enemy variety and zero difficulty scaling makes it hard to keep going.
@@sPaCe_NiNjA187 what was your fav vocation to play as? I’m a mystic knight but think I should go thief with the quick daggers, it looks fun!! I haven’t even beat it once yet, but of course I work 11hour days
@@shadeshiest22 Warfarer. All my vocations are maxed so I just mixed whatever I felt like trying. Favorite was Magick Archer/Mystic Spearhand. Past few days I’ve been using Archer/Thief/Magick Archer.
I'm so fucking excited that cliffhanger from kcd had me so pissed i just wanna beat Toth's snobbish head in
When i first tried to play KCD i really struggled with the beginning of it and getting the hang of it. I watched your playthrough a couple years ago but not up to the end as i didnt want to spoil it as I fully intended on trying to get past the learning curve.
I finally got into playing it earlier this year and I am completely in love with it. Can't believe I held off on playing it for so long and now they're dropping a second game later this year, I am beyond excited for what the 2nd game is going to have in store for us. This is going to be huge!
This makes me so Happy, I've been pestering WarHorse for years over more info about the continuation 😂.
I was hyped years ago because reading the information about locations in KCD had me imagining that the Areas and places in the Sequel would be these huge areas and the Events within are going to be so interesting, Henry and Hans Capon are going to get into so much Trouble in Kingdom Come 2.
I am so Confident in saying that KCD2 will be Bigger, Better , More Engaging and and more Evolved.
I can't wait
Honestly I may even play through the old one just to really appreciate the new one.
No ESG scores or homosexuals just a man on a journey to find out who he really is. Pure, simple, honest, wholesome and most importantly genuinely authentic.
KCD is legitimately the best game I have played in 22 years of gaming. I have the highest of expectations for this, and cannot wait for it.
The first game was brilliant in all its aspects. Its story shows that you don't need dragons and sorcery to make Medieval setting interesting. The visual beautiful up to this day and the combat... its on the unreachable for all other games level. Skyrim looks so casual and un-immersive combat-wise, after KCD
Let's Go!!! I'm so ready for this sequel!
man i just hope the actual game will run this fluent and look even better
One of the best games I've ever played tbh. I also really liked the realism in the game. Like you can sneak in a merchants shop steal all their stuff and money and if you visit that place the next day they'll have nothing to sell you.
I'd love to see an entertainer path. Learn music and perform for towns or royalty. Maybe a traveling group of performers.
Either way, I'm extremely excited about this game.
One thing that I really appreciate about the first game is if you have ever fought in armor it’s incredibly hard to see depending on your helmet and the first game really nails that
I loved the atmospheric exploration and hunting. Id like to see more (or endless) type of bounty hunting. Adding the mechanic to become a fully fledged thief/Assassin would be my biggest hope for KCD2. Everyone ended with the same weapon at the end of KCD1 and that is not RPG.
KCD is one of my favorite games ever, and perhaps the best story I've experienced on a game. Right there with Witcher 3 in termos of quality.
Loved the first one. Played it on hardcore with all the debuffs with over 100 hours. What a game! Cant wait for the the next one 💪.
I love how immersive the game was and I actually enjoyed how rewarding it felt to become more skilled at the game but it was also kind of an illusion of depth because it's not a hard game, you may not even suck, it's just henry. But from what I saw we are getting more weapons and I love that, I doubt we're getting it but dual wielding would've been nice even if it's just a parry dagger.
The immersion disapears when you see archers shoot at their feet, because the AI/hitboxes dont work with archers on bridges/castle walls.
Everyone on my steam friends list that has wish listed it will be getting it on launch. I owe this much to Warhorse.
Played KCD1 through three times waiting for this!
Learning sword play was brutal in this game. However, once I became familiar with it, it was the best in hand to hand combat.
At first seeing Henry like this is a little jarring. But, he's a bit older, and his is both what would be an elite athlete of his times and has lived a pretty strenuous life overall. It fits.
had a tiny gamer-squirt after seeing this anouncement!
we need some good gaming news this year.
HELP! at 1:04 where is this exact location? I remember seeing this exact shot from the mini-series Napoleón (2002) during the 13 Vendémiaire scene in the 1st episode and I can´t pinpoint the location. Is it Prague? Where exactly?
It has to be in very close vicinity of Saint Barbara's Church in Kuttenberg.
@@beesmongeese2978 thanks, I need to check it out
“I’m feeling quite hungry”

I've never been a survival or simulation gamer but the level of immersion made me appreciate all the things I would normally not like about those types of games. I've never played a game where just seeing a person outside of a town made me clutch my pearls and cross the street.
I put 100 hours in KCD doing side quests without realizing it 🤣
Lot's of great game release this year. Dragon's Dogma 2, KCD 2, Frostpunk 2 and Manor Lords.
There aren't many developers like this anymore , it's not just about money.
Well said .....
1:27 this is not Prague but Kutná Hora (Kuttenberg), all the scenes are filmed there :)
I hope they make archery a viable skill!! I always love playing an archer in these rpg games, and was a bit let down when there was no progression for the bow skill.
I'm very hyped! KCD does not fail on its delivery. KCD2 looks amazing and epic! Thanks for covering this with commentary.
I played the first Kingdom Come Deliverance because of you and your channel and it's still one of my favorite RPG's. hyped for this sequel.

I love how the game doesn’t make you feel everything evolves around you (Henry). The world is living and breathing, and you are just part of it
This is so damn cool. Been waiting on this game for so long, for awhile there I thought I’d never know the rest of the story for Henry and Mutt
Looks AMAZING! Would be awesome if they let you play/replay the first one but with the updated engine/graphics/Q.O.L stuff!

They deserve all the success they've gotten. What a wonderful experience the first game was.
The combat was amazing in KCD1 it was hard in the beginning but once you got good with fighting you where a force, also loved the dog DLC great content
Time to play KCD1 again!
pet dogs, swim, improved visuals, bigger map, if this game has the same impact that the 1st game had, but with this improvements...this is ginna be epic
I loveeed that the combat tried to be as realistic as possible and the game itself was so immersive
The Authentic to the time period aspect is amazing 🤩
Literally upgrading my PC and went out and bought a PS5 for this game.. JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED!!!!!
Also really enjoy the fact that they bothered to actually understand the medivel period. It wasnt at all as its often portrayed. Even the word Peasant comes from the old French word Paisent which simply means 'country dweller' rather than how we view it today. Check out the book by Terry Jones 'Medievel Lives' to see just how badly the period has been portrayed, from medicine to womens rights.
