    Speaking of power, I'm impressed with the power of the adhesive on the post-it. Bad boy never fell off.
    And I got a Dyna because they have the biggest motor on the smaller bike. Good weight-power ratio.

    I had the "Zombie Foot" when a guy hit me at a light. And I was wearing heavy boots. Bones and meat popped out everywhere. That was about 30 years ago on my Suzuki GS750. Everything healed and grew back fine. Had I not been wearing boots, there'd be no left foot left on me. Great advice and great video!

    Wide Glide.. in 1998 finally could (barely) afford to get a new bike and the Wide Glide was what I wanted.
    It was a different world back then.
    I went to my local HD dealer ready to buy but the salesman said to me: "you can't just walk in here with a pile of money and buy a Harley Davidson, you have to get in line ! You can sign up and get on the waiting list for one". A few years later I ended up getting a new left-over Honda Blackbird CBR1100XX instead.

    1. Pardon my name
    2. I'm a college student, I've been watching this channel for a while so it's usually where I go to see newer videos of older bikes. I've always been a Christian but recently turned more agnostic and to be honest, have been skipping a few classes recently. I've been looking at dual sports and things recently when out of nowhere I had the realization that I'd rather have a street bike and separate dirt bike, then suddenly remembered that this bike exists. I looked for a video from this channel and the words of wisdom happen to be about laziness. I honestly felt a sense of Deja vu and enlightenment when he said proverbs 26 14. God works in mysterious ways and somehow a video about an older motorcycle I remembered on a whim turned me back on track.

    Got myself a 07 dyna wide glide, pearl white with gold pearlescent to it pure gold pinstriping which i was told is real gold for that specific paint job, 2 in 2 big radius pipes with only a stage one boost but it has plenty of power, just need a new starter ring gear to keep that grinding noise away when the motor is hot, had 22,000 when I got it garage kept, now has 49,000 on it had it for 3 years now all I want to do is put some new cams in and call it good, ive heard ppl that went past stage 1 boost and regretted it so what I can tell stage 1 boost is the best out of a full stage 4

    Other than the forward controls which isnt a big deal since Im taller I like the Wide Glide a lot. Its one of the few bikes out there that at my normal man height of 6'1 the bike isnt too small to where I look like a gliding gorilla humping a foot ball down the street or too ridiculously big where I look like a baffoon that should be driving a car instead. Big thumbs up for the wide glide! Plus its old school classic looking because no matter what you think classic NEVER gets old.

      2014 & 2015 has the 103 engine. In 2013, it was an option. The 103 engine to me seems peppier than the 96. When you say go on a 103 it's replies back saying "how fast mf'er?" 2016/2017 has the high output. I've ridden the 95 and the 103. Both are nice but 103 has a little more get-up-and-go, in my opinion.
      You need a backrest? Naw, just get a "wide glide woman" that presses those "cushions" up tight for the most comfortable backrest imaginable!

    I agree with everything you have to say about the Dyna. Additionally, I have an 07 dyna, stock. Handles pretty well with stock setup, decent lean angle for a harley but I think my stock 2001 softail deuce handles a little better. This i know from years of riding both on a local twisty road near my house. I ride fast and I've bottomed out in the apex on both bikes and have found where each bike scrapes on both left and right sides from leaning it over. I feel more stable on the deuce when pushing it hard in the turns. You don't go buy a harley because you love the twisties but they can be a lot of fun in the turns between 30mph and 60mph. I'd put both the Dyna and Deuce in the category of "still possible to have fun in the turns" but a lot of harley riders could care less about fun in the turns and they add wide-ass footboards, highway bars, bags, etc. Don't listen to any harley rider bragging about how well their bike handles in the turns if they have these add-ons.

    As far as gear the way I see it you only live once so you might as well enjoy yourself sure obviously a helmet is a given but I ride in a cut off and jeans and cowboy boots all the time the wind etc just feels amazing especially when it's 90+ outside

    Think you can't afford an HD? I just picked up a very nice '04 Dyna Wide Glide for $5300. It's a well maintained 1 owner bike with 49k miles. Mileage doesn't bother me because I believe that HDs are a quality machine that will last and I can maintain it myself. PO sold it because he's aged out of riding and wanted to see his bike go to good home. I'm seeing lots of HDs selling in $5000-$7500 range where I live for similar reasons. Ask around and you'll find lots of HDs with over 100k miles. This is a comfortable bike with plenty of power and every detail seems high quality. Stop believing the decades old BS about Harleys falling apart, etc.

      My 98 wide glide ( 22000 miles ) is immaculate. Will get at least £5500 here ( not sure what that is in $ )

    How comfortable is a stock wide glide for someone who is 6’2?

    • @crank1422
      @crank1422 6 лет назад +1

      HenkeNYZF I'm on a '16 WG, and I'm 6ft tall. With the stock bars and a seat change, I'm fairly comfortable, but I need to change the bars to bring them closer to me. The WG is definitely a tall man bike. You should be ok at 6'2".
