  • I honestly LOVE organizing! BUT... when my family grew I found that organizing quickly became overwhelming and beyond my capacity. I couldn't make ALL THE STUFF fit. I didn't want to invest in complicated organizing systems. Thankfully, I found minimalism. After going through the painstaking, but important process of decluttering my love for organizing returned. Today, I'm taking you through a couple spaces in our home that need a small reset (in preparation for next week's organized house tour)!

How do you feel about organizing projects? (overwhelmed? excited? outside your wheelhouse?)

I love how you says this closet would work for the next “season”. More and more I’m learning I don’t have to get things right forever, just have them work for this season. So freeing!

I'm so glad! It's been a BIG lesson for me too. I really struggled with wanting to do things "right" the first time, but it became too big a barrier to get anything done. I'm enjoying this approach much more!

Yay! The organizing part! I’m so encouraged to see how easy it is to organize after you declutter. You know the stuff you really want to keep and you’ve organized it not only functionally, but visually appealing. I always feel a bit guilty buying more organizing items, but it just really makes my brain relax when I have a space that looks pretty! Love the bins you’ve used, especially the toy closet. Thanks for the helpful and relaxing content!

I love your home. It's so beautiful! ❤ It looks like my pinterest board for our home.😂 We live in a rental and far from my color scheme. I really enjoyed to see you organizing. Last night we stayed up late building some shelves for the kitchen. We really needed the space. I keep my baking stuff right under where i do my kneading and mixing. It helps a ton. The flour in a 2 gallong bucket and all the other stuff in a bin i can lift and get on the counter. And put back easily.

Thank you! I’m very grateful to be in our home. Though I sometimes miss calling the landlord when something breaks. 😂
That setup sounds great! I’m happy with the changes I made to the baking cabinets. Much less crossing the kitchen.

Thank you! It's the Boaxel line at IKEA. They're modular so you pay for each piece individually (e.g., a clothes rail is $4 and a shelf is $10). I liked that they could be shifted and changed over time and we only have to pay for exactly what you need.

Thank you! They’re actually just digital prints from Juniper Print Shop that I framed in IKEA wall frames. I’ll add a link to the video description in case you want to know more.
