@@redeemedzoomer6053 “Everybody’s favorite confession”! Happy to remind everyone that the WCF wasn’t written to correct what had come before. Our confessional heritage is broader than just the Westminster Standards as much as I love them (WCF being my personal favorite confession).
Such a better presentation of justification through the accounting of righteousness through union as opposed to popularly taught transferred righteousness!
Please keep making videos about Reformed Tradition. The Reformed Tradition is beautifull and have soo much important things than Tulip that we Christians have to learn in this generation.
Thank you for another great video! I'm always a little leery when people say "_________ is the gospel" because it's often used to make central their particularly cherished doctrine - I'm certainly not immune to the temptation! That being said, I think union with Christ does make sense with that statment because the good news for us about the person and work of Christ is that in him we have all spiritual blessings.
@@dvd1989 I agree! Even as a Calvinist, I’m not a big fan of the whole “Calvinism IS the gospel” way of speaking. However, union with Christ is so so foundational.
@@Retog I think we simply have to explain the cultural things in the Bible that we don’t experience in our day to day lives. For example when looking at God making a covenant with Abraham, there’s the culture of splitting the animals and having one party walk between them and bringing the covenant curses upon themselves. This sort of covenant making culture isn’t common in our modern day but it’s something we can learn about to see the significance.
@@mythco.3461 A really good book would be: A Christian's Pocket Guide to Baptism by Robert Letham. It’s very short and concise since it’s meant to be one of those small booklets handed out in church.
"We can't fully comprehend this union" Inner me: Nooooooooooooooooooooo! If nothing is impossible with God then obviously it's a mystery because he doesn't want those mysteries comprehended by me but I knew that but it's still hurts to be so ignorant. That KGB lady from Indiana Jones 4 telling the aliens "i want to know. I want to know everything" because God could do that and it won't make you God because that information can from him but no, I have to be okay with being like Frodo telling Gandalf "alright then keep your secrets" ignorance is obviously and cure and a blessing but it's feels like a trap. Jesus being telling his sheep that they free from sin. But ignorance is so bad. 👀 I can learn all i can but im still ignorant to a degree i can't comprehend because that hot ignorant i am even though that's not what I need to be focusing on. Just focus on the little bit of "food" that you are given on meal at a time. Being a student is so painful ya know. At least im still capable of learning. Thanks be to God. Because that's what he wants.
Union of Christ negates the need for a doctrine of the imputation of Christ’s active obedience. Would you agree? I’m someone who has recently been becoming dissatisfied with that doctrine lately
LETS GO!!! This is the most based channel on RUclips, always talking about the subjects nobody else is talking about
Exactly!🙌

I love your persistent and thorough use of the confessions including the Scotts as well as the Westminister!

@@tomh3721 Yes!! Christ doesn’t transfer righteousness to our account. We are united to Him so that His account is our account!
This is the first video I have come across that clearly taught that truth. Sharing this to everyone!

Pastor, does apostolic succecion testify on the union of the church? Would you make a video on this topic? Amazing video, amazing channel. God bless!

How do we explain the gospel to cultures and languages that don’t have concepts of money/trade? For example, “He paid our debt”.

So how would this balance with faith and baptism?
I get into that around 22:20
I'm not sure I fully grasp the idea, what book(s) would you recommend on the subjects?

I haven’t finished the video yet so I apologize if you tackle this haha
I got to that part never mind 😅
@@nate9601 Haha right, I would say that union with Christ is the basis of the imputation of Christ’s active righteousness.
So you would affirm Christ’s active obedience being imputed? Not just his passive obedience?
