I recently purchased one of the quads. On my first test fight after setting up the gps calibration the quad shot up into the air quickly, after recently having a flyaway on another quad I reached into the air to grab this husban quad. The motors are very strong and the blades cut my hands bigtime. this thing WILL draw blood, my bad but please be careful, those blades are not a joke!! Nice aerial footage, and awesome quad.
Reply to Ryan Williamson, for some reason my comment keeps failing to post when I reply directly to you. I had no issues with soldering. As to stability, ALWAYS ensure that you have sufficient satellites before taking off (minimum 6, but more the better stability). This quad will let you launch with less than six satellites. However, you'll be flying in altitude hold mode with no GPS lock. Sometimes though when flying with full forward pitch in heavy crosswind, I have noticed some toilet bowling. This can be corrected by first letting go of the pitch/roll stick to first come to hover. The quad should then stabilize. Next apply gradual pitch to slowly increase speed to a comfortable speed, but without toilet bowling. But if the toilet bowling continues, land and redo the compass calibration dance.
Today I was able to bind the Hubsan 501S Transmitter to the 502 E quad and had a very beautiful flight with fantastic GPS stability and altitude hold. I have not tested the follow me mode but would nor be surprised if it does work . The 502 E is turning out to be squad of exceptional value.
Hi again! I just unboxed mine, and after warming/idling in the motors through a whole battery pack, I took it on its maiden flight - in my living room :-) In Rochester New York today it was 13°F ☃️❄️⛄ This replaces an h502s that never flew straight, and it's already obviously a much more reliable bird. Your videos about the h502e are building a lot of trust to put some distance on this thing. I live the engineering on it! I hope I can get its h502s brother fixed. Happy Landings, matey!!
i been looking at this one for a few days. it really does seem to be a great bird. I am new at the sport. so it's a no brainer for me. Ordering mine today. got to have it. Thanks for the Reveiw.
Nice variety of flights! Thanks for the "shout out" from North Kingsville. i've been shooting in that area (and Conneaut) most of the Summer, doing my 'Covered Bridges of Ashtabula County" series on my YT channel. Have to say your method of the calibration dance is a LOT faster than the "normal one" which SeBy used in his review. I think that's a really nice beginner's video quad .. nice and stable. Not a windy weather flyer but if you have one, you can pick your days (or times of day) to optimize your shoots. After all that greenery, you're going to be missing it when you get back to the dessert. Cheers!
Another excellent video, thank you ! This is on my "Wish List" but after your review of the Walkers 250 runner I felt the "Need for Speed". Just ordered the UPDATED Runner. Looking forward to all of your videos and again I certainly appreciate your help with my Rodeo. Flies like a champ !
Nice one mate, the only problem I have watching your channel is that every time I watch it i spend more money, and it looks like I'm going to spend a bit more.LOL
Wow, you have some really gorgeous places to fly! Thanks for sharing! When you take it up, though, please tell us what the altitude is. That would make the video so much better.
I think you should review some bigger birds :) These small ones are all similar. But this one was really fun watching because of the gps system in that small flyer.
6 is absolute minimum for the GPS system to calculate its position. But recommend waiting for a few more to lock on to increase accuracy of the position and reduce the chance of toilet bowl effect.
Love your reviews,,I've just bought this quad to add to my Phantom 3 ,,it arrives tomorrow,,can't wait to fly this little guy,, thanks buddy keep posting reviews :-)
HI, this seems like a great drone! i was wondering, how do u keep track of it when u send it out far like 200+ meters without a FPV? Surely u can't see where it is on a bright sunny day over a treeline or a small hill etc i had a chinese-made drone that was around $50 a few weeks ago but i lost it due to it being extremely unstable and flying into a very secluded tree :p
I could still see it as a dot in the sky. Here is a very important, yet very easy to learn skill that every drone pilot should learn. It's best to practice it with a cheap, light, safe toy grade drone ruclips.net/video/qdYTCfjUVVo/видео.html And here is some more info from my channel that may be of help ruclips.net/p/PLVZhhqqnkOnD6pxrx8yN1jdnrWPgoP10O
Got mine yesterday, but the camera seems to really like yellow. When the quad is looking at the ground, any clouds turn yellow, and when the quad is looking towards the sky, the ground looks yellow. Any ideas on how to fix this? I think it is a problem with the cameras color correction, but I've never seen anything like that on RUclips. Other than that, the drone is a complete joy to fly and I am loving it :)
Hey 101. I have the big fancy H7000 remote that came with my X4 Pro 1092 High Edition. Do you know if it would bind / work with one of these little Hubsan 502E or 502S? I cant hardly find any documentation on the H7000 remote regarding what type of radio technology it uses, what other aircraft if will bind too etc.
Just bought one of these for my son and after flying it I have found that it does not have headless mode like yours, and it's not quite as stable, I have seen other reviews and I'm a little disappointed because it looks like they sent reviewers a much better quad than they are shipping to consumers. I hope this is not the same for all their quads because I really like the H501s and was thinking about buying it.
Yours does have headless mode. Please see the following video at 3 minutes to see all the functions of the buttons, including headless mode (hint, push in on the left throttle stick like its a button). ruclips.net/video/0koT2obNZrk/видео.html Also, for best stability, strongly recommend waiting for more than the minimum amount of satellites before taking off. I usually wait for at least 8 satellites before taking off. Finally, recommend watching the following videos for more tips on this quadcopter. ruclips.net/video/zgVcNc05RUc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/NLj2hqVC4aA/видео.html
Quadcopter 101 Thank you very much for the reply. I'm a huge fan of your video reviews, they're honest and entertaining. I'm an old RC plane guy, but just recently got hooked on quads. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
The Mould King 03341A is a great quad for about $18. Can throw a small camera on there later too. I had black and white and prefer the white a little more, but that's personal preference. Also, make sure to keep those gears clean because they will grind up easy and it's hard to find low cost replacements unless someone on here knows a substitute for the Mould King gears?
So I noticed the camera on this seems to have a low frame rate, the video seems choppy. Is this because of your SD card? Or is that just what the camera does? And how do you think this wold work with your 808#16 key chain camera?
Hoping you have a great vacation, and since you're not too far from Niagara Falls, maybe a quick bit of drone footage before the "Man" chases you off. lol..
Wow, this is up my alley! I've got some experiance but not enought to want to dump a grand if I happen to cash it lol! Whats the weight on this quadcopter? FFA registration? And whats about the avg. flight time like 15min? I might have to order this as soon as I here back from you. Thanks for your videos with great infomation on all quadcopters.
Thanks for the nice review. According too Frequent Flyer you can use the TX from 502S and the similar ones with that built in screen. That TX will unlock all the features that the 502S has except FPV of course. But those TX's are quiet expensive.Waiting for mine too arrive. Extra lipo's are getting hard too buy
+Ruudy L what I'm curious is if the FPV H502S can be controlled with the small H502E controller. It's actually a good long range (300m) transmitter. And I'd rather use goggles than the hard to see screen on the H502S transmitter.
Quadcopter 101 Well I think if this will fly with the Big TX then the S will fly with the small TX but you will not be able too switch the GPS off or have follow me mode. I would say try it. Have a good holiday
I bought this drone in the end. im sure i heard / watched that you had an issue with the soldering? could you expand for me> ? as my gps is always off a little in stability mode
Hi, watched loads of your videos! . Im a new drone flyer. spent about £300 quid on 4 drones over the last month that have sadly ended up lost haha. Im wanting to buy the best cheap gps wifi drone with a bit of weight, any recommendations ? possibly under £200
can you make a video about tje udi lark fpv quadcopter its cheap for a fpv but is it worth 135$ because the camera is 480p but fpv thoug and should i just buy fpv (200-300$) for my syma x5c because it has 720p camera but no fpv i would like your opinion on the sitsuation
Hello. It appears from a lot of videos you fly in the Mojave desert around the Antelope Valley area. Do you know any good places to fly. Remote but not hard to get too? I am new to drones and looking for a safe place to fly around Lancaster CA I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for what you do
Check with your vendor to make sure that a transmitter is included with the listing, as there is a cheaper version that does not include the transmitter. But the following is the version with transmitter shrsl.com/?~cr25 $3 off with this coupon $3CX10WD
I am definitely new to the world of quadcopters. I have been viewing your videos and about to pull the trigger on one. The Hubsan H502E and Kai Deng K70C both have piqued my interest based on your review. As a novice, which would you suggest?
Not the K70C. It's too large for beginners. You'll likely break it in a crash due to its momentum. The H502E is good. But another one that I recommend for beginners is the Syma X5C. The Syma X5C is great for new fliers, due to its excellent stability, durability, and ease of flying. And it even has a camera too. Use it to learn the basics of flight with. Let this cheap quadcopter take the inevitable crashes and bangs of a beginner flier. And if you break it, every part on it is cheap, widely available, and easily replaceable. Later as your flying skills improve and you're not crashing as much, then consider something better/more expensive. ruclips.net/video/y93vzA-KRlM/видео.html
it says walmart carries this .is that a good way to buy this because may be able to return it much easier if I have problems and I was wondering if I upgrade to the 501s can I use this controller for it and just buy the 501 only?.
Yes, line of sight. Here's an easy to learn skill that's very important to enable long distance line of sight flying quadcopter101.blogspot.com/2014/02/flight-school-6-distance-flying-keeping.html
very nice video! really really beautiful scenery ....nice job! I recently flew one of these and for some reason it only got about less than 2 minutes flight time maybe it was just a defected review model/ possibly pre-production version?
+Full Metal Heli defective battery or charger. Try a different charger. Also. Spin your props by hand to make sure that they all spin freely. Dirt in the gears can suck powér and damage the motors.
Yeah i use a hobby grade charger always.. But i did notice the gears sounded gritty right out the box. Maybe someone was playin with it at the factory...lol
+Quadcopter 101 yeah I know that trick too ...lol ..Works quite well for getting little tiny pieces of sand out of the gears. thanks for the reply always a pleasure to hear from you I know you're very very busy.... it's hard for me to answer all my comments and I only have a 1000 Sub's! I could only imagine what you go through my friend ! Thanks again!
What is a good quadcopter for beginners which is durable enough to take numerous crashes? I got a Cheerson CX10, which crashed multiple times, replaced some props, and then crashed a few more times, it kept flying weird after that. Checked if props were correctly orientated, and they seem like they are, so I'm guessing probably the gyro went crazy after taking too many knocks. idk tbh.
You likely did not install the correct propellers for the motors. There are two clockwise and two counter clockwise propellers and motors. If you mismatch the propellers with the motors, the quadcopter will flip or fly crazily on the ground. Take a close look at the following picture. Notice the two different shapes of propellers, and where they are installed. Make your propellers match the picture image1.geekbuying.com/ggo_pic/2014-09-10/20140910191014mkxofh8.jpg And to calibrate the gyros 1) Turn on the quadcopter and place it on a flat and level surface. 2) Turn on and bind the transmitter. Center all trim tabs. 3) Leaving the quadcopter undisturbed, move and hold the left control stick to its lower left position while simultaneously holding the right control stick to its upper left position. Hold them there until you notice the quadcopter's lights blink. 4) Let go of the sticks and try flying.
Thank you for the quick response. You were absolutely spot on, I had not installed the correct propellers. One of them was a mismatch. The CX-10 flew much better after applying the steps mentioned above. Now I just need practise to fly this thing around. Once again thank you Quadcopter 101.
Thank you for the demo of how to calibrate my X4e more quickly! Can you tell me how to get this model into Headless Mode?? I need it if I get disoriented but I can find NO reference to it in X4 Instructions. Also, can the X4e battery be charged safely & possibility faster with the Tarantula X6 balanced charger? Great reviews & thanks for helping the quad community.
Press into the left throttle stick as if its a button. You'll hear a click and headless mode will be activated. I go over each of the controls in detail in the following video ruclips.net/video/0koT2obNZrk/видео.html But really, it would be much better if you learn the following simple technique to maintain orientation at a distance. The H502E is perfect to practice this with ruclips.net/video/qdYTCfjUVVo/видео.html And yes, plug in the H502E white balance charger plug into the X6 charger. It should work as both batteries are 2S 7.4V.
Hi, Great Videos !!! I just got mine (502e) today based solely on your reviews. Thanks for that. I'm curious, if you don't mind answering, how do you do your video with PIP? Is there some sort of editing software you use or is this a function of some hardware connected to the Quad? Also, took my 502e outside today and attempted to test the RTH function but chickened out. It started to go UP instead of directly back to its start location? I had 7+ SATs but was only flying it 8-10 feet off ground. Is that normal?
I use VSDC free video editor for all my video editing (over 700 RUclips videos made with VSDC). Search the above RUclips searchbar for more info on VSDC. But be careful, as there are some mediocre payware pirates claiming to be VSDC (cough cough Wondershare cough bleh). Here's the authentic source for VSDC, and it's no kidding free www.videosoftdev.com/free-video-editor Regarding return to home see the following at 10:30. The quad first climbs to about 15 meters then flies home. The idea is to fist climb above any obstacles (trees) which may be in the way. But you can quickly abort the retutn to home by moving the right stick in any direction to regain manual control. ruclips.net/video/0koT2obNZrk/видео.html
Thank you so much! I can hardly wait to get it out in an open area to fly it. I have been trying to figured out my best options for charging the battery packs. I purchased two extra packs so that I can have more flight time. I have used parallel charging boards in the past with good luck but don't have this style UMX boards on hand. I will probably purchases something from a local hobby shop or HobbyKing. Do you used multiple packs? How do you charge them? Thanks again for your quick reply earlier.
***** No I don't use multiple packs. This flies for a relatively long time (about 13 minutes) with the stock battery. After such a flight, it's a good idea to let the brushed motors cool down to prevent premature failure. I'd give it at least 30 minutes before the next flight. One more tip, I fly in the desert a lot. These little hubsans can easily pick up dirt which gets into the gears if you take off or land in dusty/sandy areas. Grit in the gears can be a real problem as it creates extra stress on the motors. Recommend using a cardboard sheet for takeoffs or landings if flying in dusty areas (or launch/recover by hand). Also recommend occasionally checking for debris in the gears by hand spinning the props before each takeoff (they should spin freely with no bumps in the turn). If you notice any resistance, the gears can be cleaned of debris with an old toothbrush or pin. ruclips.net/video/LzzD3BPVvH0/видео.html
Hope you still like the 502E -- I just bought one and wonder if I can ask a couple questions. 1 -- when the battery gets low, isn't the quad supposed to return home? Mine drops like a rock and I am assuming battery because no lights. 2 -- how do you use the trims? Thanks for the great videos.
Yes, I still very much like my 502E. And no, it doesn't return to home on low battery. Instead its starts to descend if the battery gets too low. You should notice the descent as you'll be needing to apply more and more upward throttle to keep it in the air. Also, the quadcopter has telemetry, including transmitting remaining battery power that is displayed on your transmitter. Once you reach one bar remaining power, you should be thinking about landing. If you ignore both of these warnings (one bar and automatic descent), it will eventually stop its motors and drop like a rock. 2. Trims are only applicable if you fly in altitude hold mode. In GPS mode they shouldn't be applicable as the quadcopter will try to maintain its position.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I mixed up the return to home and the low battery. I have only 2-3 attempts but none have lasted more than a couple minutes. Quad doesn't seem to want to hold altitude like the videos I've seen. Just keeps drifting down. I wonder if maybe I got a bad battery? I have a couple spares on the way. Watching too much RUclips and just frustrated I guess. I'm hoping if I can keep in the air for a few minutes I can work out some of the issues. Thanks again.
How are you showing what the drone is shooting while filming the video? I'd be scared to fly that high and over that cliff and water!!!! I'd loose the drone.
After I take the drone home, I download its video to my computer, along with the video from my hat camera. I then use video editing software to synchronize them together, and alternate their views.
Greetings to you sir, love you videos, you helped me tremendously getting into this hobby. Is there Any way to turn off GPS on this quad, in GPS it acts like this bird is hanging from a string wobbling all over. I also have the 501C and it does the same thing. Thanks
If it's wobbling, particularly if its rotating in circular movement, similar to toilet bowl swirl, then this is usually caused by the compass (needs to be recalibrated). Additionally, if you fly too fast in high rate, the quadcopter can actually get ahead of the GPS fix causing toilet bowl effect also. The fix in that case is to just slow down, or hover momentarily to let the GPS catch up.
Can someone explain the screen ? I am talking about distance and height .... next to satellites it has an H number.. when the drone is almost landed it says like 288, why ? looking at the manual, thats clear as NOTHING LOL... says head orientation, height and distance for the same number . Can some give me a real world explanation ?
It's compass Heading. In other words the direction that its pointed. It's broken down into 360 degrees, with 0 being North, 90 being East, 180 being South, and 270 being West.
Hi. A few noob questions ... What does the quad do if it is loses satellites in flight? And, what does the quad do it is losses transmitter signal in flight? Any chance of flyaways? 'cause I've read of a few with this Hubsan ...
If it loses satellites, it enters into altitude hold mode, and you'll need to fly it manually. That's why I recommend never taking off with just minimum satellites. I always wait for at least 8 satellites. If it loses transmitter signal, it will momentarily stop in flight, and then start a return to home landing. It will keep flying its return to home until it regains signal, and you retake command by moving the pitch roll stick. The only chance for a flyaway IMO is an inexperienced pilot taking off with minimal satellites, losing satellite lock, and not knowing how to manually bring it back home. By the way, here's how ruclips.net/video/qdYTCfjUVVo/видео.html
Do you have to re-calibrate this everytime you fly/change out batteries? Or only when it's acting up? I just bought one that should be coming in soon, so was wondering how often you have to calibrate it.
I just watched a video on the Autel X-Star and let me tell you that thing is sweet I would most definitely purchase that before the DJI phantom series.
Check out the Yuneec Q500+. It has a ton of features, great service, awesome photo/video, Yuneec does software upgrades time to time and you can find them for $500 to $600. I bought one the first of the year after researching quads for months, am thrilled with it and think you get more then your moneys worth. Even with the CGO2 camera it comes with the video on a 50" screen is nearly as good as the 4K CGO3 and although wide angle there's no "fisheye" effect. Outside of the 4K I'd put this inexpensive bird up against any quad costing twice as much. Just my own opinion.
There's no type of stabilizing software or mounted stability mount.. Camera is inside the quad .. Still it's a good functioning quad.. Are you thinking about getting one? If yes you won't be disappointed !!
No. The H502E model does not come equipped with FPV, and I'm only flying it line of sight in this video. However, the more expensive H502S model does come with FPV ruclips.net/video/Pj8UEq4zWQk/видео.html
No it doesn't need any mods. It should get about 300 meter range with its stock transmitter. And I'm still using all original parts, with no motor changes. The following video provides tips on how to improve durability of this drone ruclips.net/video/zgVcNc05RUc/видео.html
I went to the Banggood site to purchase one of these. The charging cable isn't included nor was there one for sale on the site. What do you use to recharge the battery? Thanks..
From watching a few test flights of both model's, I think the video is better coming out of the H501s but I like the size of 502S better. I know the 502 is only 720p and the 501 is 1080p, but just as import as pixel count is the fact that the 501 doesn't seem to get bounced around by the wind as the 502.
Anything over 4 GB is really overkill as the video files are not that large. But it will work with cards up to 32 GB. But 64 GB and higher will not work with this.
Hello! Perhaps you can point me in the correct direction I bought the H502E from Bang Good a few months ago. Worked great out of the box no issues. In Fact I liked it so much I then ordered the H501S as well. The H502E Still fly's great but the button to activate the photo/video is not working. Removed cover on transmitter it was pushed out of the mounting bracket. Repositioned it still did not work. So I know it a waste of time trying to communicate with Bang Good all it get is stupid E mails telling how Sorry they are ... No help at all Send E Mail to Hubsan Sales under support - no response. To make matters worse the H501S right out of the box will bind but is totally unstable in both GPS and Altitude Hold. I do get a Check Gyro setting message on he screen and then it goes into compass cal. That works, but again the quad is unstable. Can't get the Hort. or Rotation Calibration to work???? Who do I contact that can help? these units are a few months old. Thanks in advance. Ben Herr
I don't think that these are covered under long term warranty. Regarding the H502E transmitter, you may need to purchase a new transmitter since you've had it several months www.hobbytron.com/EliteMiniOrionGlowInTheDark24GHz45CHHDRCCameraDrone.html Regarding the H501S, try calibrating the compass before each flight using the technique that I demonstrate at 2:15 into the following video. This method is good for both the H501S, H502S and H502E. I find that it's the easiest, and fastest way to calibrate the compass ruclips.net/video/NLj2hqVC4aA/видео.html
Is it Just Me ?? Seems like I have Very Bad Luck with the "Higher End Stuff" The cheaper ones are at Least "Fun To Fly" Thanks as always, for your help! Ben Herr PS Great Videos in Erie I go there a lot a Pittsburgh Guy, but do a lot of work in Erie. Next Trip I will take a few Quads !!!
I recently purchased one of the quads. On my first test fight after setting up the gps calibration the quad shot up into the air quickly, after recently having a flyaway on another quad I reached into the air to grab this husban quad. Suggestion! Do this same video in February. Seriously, it would be awesome! 👍
Nice one mate, the only problem I have watching your channel is that every time I watch it i spend more money, and it looks like I'm going to spend a bit more.LOL
You and me both I just got mine a couple weeks ago,I love this guys reviews and the reviews by everyone has been good
Thinking of getting the X16 but you convinced me to get this one instead. GPS and price sold me.
Got mine today! Unboxing time! Nice flight!
Wanna record it for us? :)
Wow, you have some really gorgeous places to fly! Thanks for sharing! When you take it up, though, please tell us what the altitude is. That would make the video so much better.
Your videos are awesome man!!!! I hope you never quit making them!!!!
Excellent flight as always ,thanks for sharing this I am considering the fpv version.
That's the only useful video on youtube about range test drive for this babe drone, well done sir
love the no Jello video....and....I like the pink props.
They're more red
Great videos of the area. I hope your having a lot of fun.
Got mine yesterday. Too excited to fly. Forgot to remove the platic lens protector.. RTH is great.
I think you should review some bigger birds :) These small ones are all similar. But this one was really fun watching because of the gps system in that small flyer.

I have 1 h502e... and i like it very much..thank you for review sir
+Quadcopter 101 you should try the parrot bebop drone!! really neat drone
Incredibly beautiful landscape. Thanks for the great review.
You are one of my favorite youtubers
Gearbest has an email special, Hubsan 501C for $169.00. Same as the 501S but with no FPV, smaller transmitter.
Love your reviews,,I've just bought this quad to add to my Phantom 3 ,,it arrives tomorrow,,can't wait to fly this little guy,, thanks buddy keep posting reviews :-)
Make sure to view the following video for important tips on this particular quadcopter ruclips.net/video/zgVcNc05RUc/видео.html
Thanks buddy ;-)

Thanks! You've got great content, i'm definitely subscribing! Keep up the great work!
Great video!! If you ever come back up to the N. Kingsville / Conneaut area, look me up. I'm only a couple hrs from there :)
As Always great Video. That Quad looks Great cant wait for mine to get here. Have a great holiday and thanks for sharing...
great vid as always I have a wltoys vortex k929a that has a burnt up esc can't seem to locate the part on gearbest so I can replace it
Wow !!!,you take this thing all over with you wherever you go.
Please see the following video at 3 minutes to see all the functions of the buttons, including headless mode (hint, push in on the left throttle stick like its a button). ruclips.net/video/0koT2obNZrk/видео.html
Also, for best stability, strongly recommend waiting for more than the minimum amount of satellites before taking off. I usually wait for at least 8 satellites before taking off.
Finally, recommend watching the following videos for more tips on this quadcopter.

Quadcopter 101 Thank you very much for the reply. I'm a huge fan of your video reviews, they're honest and entertaining. I'm an old RC plane guy, but just recently got hooked on quads. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
She looks like a very stable bird. The video is not bad for a hard mounted camera. What kind of range does she have? Thanks for sharing.
+dheller777 300 meters. If you fly out of range, it flies back toward you until it picks up the transmitter and you regain control.
You must be related to Donald Trump.
vixter panda Sanchez How about these? ruclips.net/p/PLVZhhqqnkOnCIBjuNAedYyBOpRVGN-z10
Thank you for the vids! Does the fact these motors have brushes make it a less desirable quad? Thanks again!
So I noticed the camera on this seems to have a low frame rate, the video seems choppy. Is this because of your SD card? Or is that just what the camera does? And how do you think this wold work with your 808#16 key chain camera?
Hoping you have a great vacation, and since you're not too far from Niagara Falls, maybe a quick bit of drone footage before the "Man" chases you off. lol..
Sir can i ask how many flight before change the motor of hubsan h502e?
So have they fixed the problem yet with the brushed motors burning out on the newer model ?
Cheers for Australia : )
Today's link was to yesterdays video? At least that's what I got.
+ThatsMyRc 150 grams, no FAA registration required. About 14 minutes. Make sure to see my other two reviews of the H502E.
hello, I guess it can carry a more decent cam like 808v3 or runcam, but is there a chance it can carry an action cam (xiaomi yi, gopro, sjcam)?
ow is this compared to the 501s i know it is brushless but with price consideration how are both of these reliability wise?.
***** If you send me the $1500 for the Phantom I will buy it lol This one is under $100
This GPS camera quad costs $98.
Quadcopter 101 Well I think if this will fly with the Big TX then the S will fly with the small TX but you will not be able too switch the GPS off or have follow me mode. I would say try it.
Have a good holiday
+Quadcopter 101 can fpv goggles be used?
I bought this drone in the end. im sure i heard / watched that you had an issue with the soldering? could you expand for me> ? as my gps is always off a little in stability mode
Hi, watched loads of your videos! . Im a new drone flyer. spent about £300 quid on 4 drones over the last month that have sadly ended up lost haha. Im wanting to buy the best cheap gps wifi drone with a bit of weight, any recommendations ? possibly under £200
can you make a video about tje udi lark fpv quadcopter its cheap for a fpv but is it worth 135$ because the camera is 480p but fpv thoug and should i just buy fpv (200-300$) for my syma x5c because it has 720p camera but no fpv i would like your opinion on the sitsuation
have you tried it with Hubsan other X4 controllers, i have been told the follow me function works on the 502E with the 502S controller?
Hey 101, how many flights on your 502 now? Any motor replacements? Just got one and kind of curious of what to expect.
Hello. It appears from a lot of videos you fly in the Mojave desert around the Antelope Valley area. Do you know any good places to fly. Remote but not hard to get too? I am new to drones and looking for a safe place to fly around Lancaster CA I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for what you do
Nice flying, Im going to buy either the x4 h502e or the FEILUN FX176C1 GPS Brushed RC Drone - RTF - 1MP CAMERA RED
Which one is the better one?
What's the range on this quad? I'm looking to shoot high up top videos and I want a drone that can capture stable video.
Hi bro what suggestions can you give me for a quad with brushless motors and has GPS capabilities?
101 do you know if the cheers on cx10wdtx works as well as the cx10wd? I just got the txt one and I hope it works the same
Check with your vendor to make sure that a transmitter is included with the listing, as there is a cheaper version that does not include the transmitter. But the following is the version with transmitter shrsl.com/?~cr25

Thank you for the information. I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks, nice video. Hope to buy my first quadcopter asap. Greetings from Switzerland ;-)
it says walmart carries this .is that a good way to buy this because may be able to return it much easier if I have problems and I was wondering if I upgrade to the 501s can I use this controller for it and just buy the 501 only?.
I get that same black dot on my X4 107c ??? Usually the suns direction!! Are you flying just line of sight ???? Pretty impressive 😬
+Full Metal Heli pop off the bottom plate (think its two screws). Then use a pin to dislodge any grit from between the gear teeth.
Thanks again!
are you going to review the yuneec q500+ in the future? regards from Norway. :D
Make your propellers match the picture image1.geekbuying.com/ggo_pic/2014-09-10/20140910191014mkxofh8.jpg
And to calibrate the gyros
1) Turn on the quadcopter and place it on a flat and level surface.
Once again thank you Quadcopter 101.
nice quad...is it O.K to fly in city parks...I tried to fly in a state park and DNR said "no way"..
I go over each of the controls in detail in the following video ruclips.net/video/0koT2obNZrk/видео.html
But really, it would be much better if you learn the following simple technique to maintain orientation at a distance. The H502E is perfect to practice this with ruclips.net/video/qdYTCfjUVVo/видео.html
And yes, plug in the H502E white balance charger plug into the X6 charger. It should work as both batteries are 2S 7.4V.
do you ever go fishing in lake erie?
Here's the authentic source for VSDC, and it's no kidding free www.videosoftdev.com/free-video-editor
Regarding return to home see the following at 10:30.
Quadcopter 101 so if battery low is there any warning like sound beep on transmitter or light blinking at aircraft?
nice video! How long will the motors last?
Can you buy the h901a TX and then be able to use Fpv?
You have to calibrate the compass before each flight.
If I want to change a battery while flying do I have to calibrate my Hubsan h502e again? I'm in the same area.
Yes, unfortunately the quadcopter will reset when the battery is changed, and will require calibrating the compass again.
can the hubsanH502E be purchased from a vendor in the u.s. buying stuff from chinese vendors tkes a long time to arrive in Honduras where I live.
Sure. You pay about $30 more, but here you go amzn.to/29ZcEvE
and here's the H502s (FPV and follow me) amzn.to/29ZbMaw
Would this be good for me to get? Im not a complete beginner but incase that whole neighbor situation happens i could hit return to home
Yes. But remember to check its gears to keep them clean ruclips.net/video/zgVcNc05RUc/видео.html
Quadcopter 101 Thanks! It helps alot having you inform me.
Nice video!
Any plans on making videos of larger (aerial photography) drones? I really don't want to spend Phantom 4 money..
+Pierre Le Fevre click on my name to visit my channel page for reviews of such quadcopters.
+Quadcopter 101 I've been subscribed for over a year, I was thinking of the newer quadcopters like the Autel X-Star
I just watched a video on the Autel X-Star and let me tell you that thing is sweet I would most definitely purchase that before the DJI phantom series.
Au_Prospector 4life Barnacles Nerdgasm & Volair Media video?
Check out the Yuneec Q500+. It has a ton of features, great service, awesome photo/video, Yuneec does software upgrades time to time and you can find them for $500 to $600.
I bought one the first of the year after researching quads for months, am thrilled with it and think you get more then your moneys worth. Even with the CGO2 camera it comes with the video on a 50" screen is nearly as good as the 4K CGO3 and although wide angle there's no "fisheye" effect. Outside of the 4K I'd put this inexpensive bird up against any quad costing twice as much.
Just my own opinion.
Very nice quad! But why is the video footage so shaky?
There's no type of stabilizing software or mounted stability mount.. Camera is inside the quad .. Still it's a good functioning quad.. Are you thinking about getting one? If yes you won't be disappointed !!
Thank you for the anwser! Yes, i'm thinking about getting one... :)
Nice flight! What is the range of the small transmitter? Thank you for the video. 😉
+INTELMAXELL 300 meters
+Quadcopter 101 I am looking for a quadcopter for 30 dollars and under what would you suggest
DID YOU ADD THE FPV TO THIS?i dont see it in the description.
No. The H502E model does not come equipped with FPV, and I'm only flying it line of sight in this video. However, the more expensive H502S model does come with FPV ruclips.net/video/Pj8UEq4zWQk/видео.html
Hello Quadcopter 101, Im your new subscriber . Can you do a review of Syma x8HG. Everyone is waiting for it. BTW good vid . Thx
Alot of guys have been modding the antennas on these but it doesnt look like it needs it.Have you replaced any motors or bearings yet?.
No it doesn't need any mods. It should get about 300 meter range with its stock transmitter. And I'm still using all original parts, with no motor changes. The following video provides tips on how to improve durability of this drone ruclips.net/video/zgVcNc05RUc/видео.html
Greetings Pilot!
Is there an app you can use for this quadcopter?
Sorry, no app for this. Video is only recorded to an onboard microSD card.
Bom trabalho, belo vídeo ok gracias obrigado thanks.
I went to the Banggood site to purchase one of these. The charging cable isn't included nor was there one for sale on the site. What do you use to recharge the battery?
Thanks..
The Banggood listing is in error. A charging cable is included in the package.
+Quadcopter 101 - Excellent! Thank you!!
Can you fly a hover way alpha translucent camera drone
Hey Big Guy, what was the black "dot" in the sky? UFO checking you out? LOL
+Route 66 Flyer that was the sun.
can you use a bigger battery
Hmm... this one or the H502S? Or the H501S.... tought to choose. :-)
From watching a few test flights of both model's, I think the video is better coming out of the H501s but I like the size of 502S better. I know the 502 is only 720p and the 501 is 1080p, but just as import as pixel count is the fact that the 501 doesn't seem to get bounced around by the wind as the 502.
awesome. great video quality.
I also have one, and I really like it!
How big of a micro sd card do you usually use in this quad? 16, 32 ?
Anything over 4 GB is really overkill as the video files are not that large. But it will work with cards up to 32 GB. But 64 GB and higher will not work with this.
Quadcopter 101 I've had some of my videos be up to 2 Gb. If you have multiple batteries and you want to take video, you might need more than 4 Gb
why do hubsan make great looking quads that fly so well but insist on using the same crappy transmitter for the majority of their quads
Love this drone you live in pa?
Nice looks fast going up.
great video beautiful location
I'm looking for a new drone that is a decent size and is fast and that has fpv you can you with your phone. Any suggestions
Up air chase is gps fpv but it doesnt stream to your phone it streams to a screen on attached to the controller.
+Buddo Plays Games (BuddoPlaysGames) I'm in a budget
+XxAS1ANASAS1NxX Syma X series has some good fpv drones that are cheap
The syma x5w is fpv and the syma x8hg is coming out soon.
+Buddo Plays Games (BuddoPlaysGames) i like the mjx101 is it good
can you use fpv goggles with this ?
I don't think so
No help at all
Send E Mail to Hubsan Sales under support - no response.
Regarding the H502E transmitter, you may need to purchase a new transmitter since you've had it several months www.hobbytron.com/EliteMiniOrionGlowInTheDark24GHz45CHHDRCCameraDrone.html
Regarding the H501S, try calibrating the compass before each flight using the technique that I demonstrate at 2:15 into the following video. This method is good for both the H501S, H502S and H502E. I find that it's the easiest, and fastest way to calibrate the compass ruclips.net/video/NLj2hqVC4aA/видео.html
Is it Just Me ?? Seems like I have Very Bad Luck with the "Higher End Stuff" The cheaper ones are at Least "Fun To Fly"
Thanks as always, for your help!
Ben Herr
PS Great Videos in Erie I go there a lot a Pittsburgh Guy, but do a lot of work in Erie.
Next Trip I will take a few Quads !!!
Ben Herr The video showing the compass calibration is from the North Side.
I know the Spot - Thanks Again
