I had the same exact issue. Number five intake cam lobe flat. After I replaced injectors,spark plugs,wires, and coil pack this is what I found on my Mother’s car. A flat cam lobe and damaged lifter...not to mention I did a leak down test, and compression test, and fuel pressure test.
Don’t mean to bother you but thanks for the information about how much does a job like this cost just so I know what to expect going to another mechanic in my area I am in Dallas Texas.

Yeah so did I cylinder 1 had a misfire because of the same issue. Goddamn cylinder deactivation?
How were you able to get the camshaft out? did you have to lift or lower the engine?
Did this end up fixing the problem ? About how much would this cost cause I have the exact same issue even after doing a full tune up.
Yes it did. Replaced the cam and lifters
