    Hey thanks for your video! I'll also be attending KLEC at Sogang Uni for Summer/Fall and i'm intending to enter earlier (a month earlier) to settle down, and that means i'll have to extend my visa by then since the visa only last for the period of study. Do you have any experience or heard of any others how long can the visa be extended by i'm not intending to apply for another semester subsequently?

      I can highly recommend Sogang until Level 4.. We spoke a lot in class and my language skills of course improved a lot.. But you have to put effort in it, too and study vocabulary and practice a lot outside of school too. :)

    Thank you this was very helpful! I was wondering whether your home country issued the D4 visa easily? As I am coming from the UK they have stopped issuing this type of visa at the moment but another option is to change to d4 in Korea after coming as a tourist which is allowed for British citizens but not sure if things have changed since covid. Any advice would be appreciated. Tia

    • @nextstopkorea
      @nextstopkorea  2 года назад

      Thank you for the feedback! ☺️
      As I said in the video I can’t help about visa applications for every single country. It’s waaaay too different for everyone. But you can call the Korean embassy in the UK and ask them. Cause it’s not your country issuing a visa, but the Korean embassy. So they know best, which Visa is possible at the moment especially during covid 💪🏼
      PS: if you can’t get a D4-Visa in your homecountry from the Korean embassy, you wont get one in South Korea as a tourist. So best way is to prepare that first. Visa is the most important part 🥲

    I was trying to enroll but they asked for info I don’t have yet and things I thought I’d have to apply after getting accepted by them

    • @nextstopkorea
      @nextstopkorea  Год назад +1

      Sorry for the late reply, I just saw your comment. I hope you figured it out, but here still an answer if maybe someone has the same question: you can just ignore the ARC number in the application. Its just for the case if you're already in Korea. The place of stay can be an airbnb or a hotel, where you gonna stay in the beginning until you find something to stay on longterm. When you get the admission letter, things will go on really quickly, so you should be prepared for the first weeks in Korea already.

      The D4-Visa is just for Language-Trainees. Means you need to be enrolled in a Korean university to study Korean.
      I think for “talents” and “general trainees” there are other Visa types, but you should ask the agency you applied with for the trainee position. They should consult you on that
