Kdramas and Kpop has bin such an escape for me growing up. Korea is place that always fascinated me . From the people to the culture to the food. With learning Korean i feel like i can connect to that part of the world that has brought me so much joy a bit better. This is why I want to learn Korean

The best choise learn with a korean teacher. I love my teacher a lot and we learn culture from each other. I am european and fed up with western nehaviour and ill manners!
I am ethnically Korean and I want to learn it to fluency as a teenager, because my household didn't speak to me in Korean and I never spoke it. I learned the phonetics when I was young, but that's all I learned. As I grew older, I started to feel a level of guilt towards my grandparents, as I couldn't speak in their native language and I had to make them work to speak with me.
There's only one reason why I wanna learn korean:

I wanna visit Korea and possibly move there when I’m older! It’s hard but I’ve so far learnt a bit about Hangul (Korean alphabet) and how like the structure with consonants and vowels work.. I guess that’s how u put it 😂 do you have any tips on memorising stuff? My memory is my weak point with learning Korean.

Reasons for learning Korean:
- My mother is Korean but never learned (was adopted as a baby) and I feel like I've lost a great opportunity to learn about half of who I am
- I would love to be able to visit as I find the culture and media interesting
- I would like to read more about the history of the country but find that many of the sources written in Korean are more detailed
- I find Hangeul interesting as, from my first impression, it looks phonetic
If anyone has recommendations for any Korean media, I would love to hear them.

My friend was stationed in korea in the military so I went for two week. Learned a few words ahead of the trip, but it was killing me that I couldn’t have a full conversation. I wanted to thank and compliment people but I didn’t know how to say it properly. By the end of the trip i was feeling very home sick because I just felt so isolated because of the language barrier. The trip was still great! But I can’t help but think how much more fun it would’ve been if I could communicate with locals. I want to learn and go back sometime in the next couple of years.
I just really love the way the language sounds. It's between French and Korean, but hangul is such a pretty writing system that the practicality of learning French is being overriden😂

I want to learn korean because I'm a korean adoptee and me, along with my husband and our 3 kids, are all going to Korea next July! I homeschool, so I am going to just incorporate this into our school schedule. So excited to order the books and get started!!

I first learned about Hangul and how it is featural and found it to be a wonderful and amazing writing system, especially how words are broken down into syllable blocks. Then I heard some Korean spoken and thought it was the most beautiful language I've ever heard. Both of these reasons made me want to learn the language properly and to make it my second language. I am very interested in linguistics and wish I had grown up learning Korean.

It's easier to learn English than any Asian or African language .. German is easy , French is easy but Korean, mandarin , Cantonese , Japanese , Malaysian, difficult ... Malaysian easiest of Asian languages and Urdu is not so difficult.. Korean and mandarin is freaking difficult .. or maybe it's the way it's written ..

Chile... Korean people are not always polite 💀 there’s a lot of racism (mainly towards black people) and sexism in Korea. A study literally showed that 8 out of 10 males admitted to abusing their partners like 🏃 💨 oh hell nah, but don’t get me wrong I think Korean is a very cool language and they have a beautiful culture too.

The reason I am learning korean is: I have loved a person who was korean, she has a beautiful smile and before she left my life I promised I would go to Korea, meet her, and learn korean.
