Honest to god I’m looking at it like yeah ok it’s not that simple
Not too bad of a install. Did a 6 inch lift in my driveway. Took a whole weekend cause I had to cut the cam bolts holding the lower control arm to the frame. They seized on me. Had to go get new bolts and bushings. Hard part was getting the truck high enough to put the new wheels on lol. My jack doesn't go that high 😆
did mine yesterday lol. 4" and stacked a 2" level so its even higher. i had to use two jacks simultaneously and it was sketchyyyy
thats going to take 3 cases of beer and a lot of pb blaster
if you want to go back stock, you can. just save the part you cut off from the rear diff support and have it welded back on.
Sadly not all mechanics will take this much care when installing a lift.

Nice and smooth on film! took me 3 HRS to do the rear lift alone. LOL

* when cutting the brake line bracket, why not spray paint that part too *when reinstalling the rotor, why not put the clips back on the studs *I don’t understand the point in removing the axle Other than that, I wished that anything I do would go so flawless

No need for the clips. They were needed when the truck was assembled in the factory to keep the rotor from falling off.
I would have pulled axles off before dropping differential to eliminate some of the "mass". Things are easier to handle on reassembley. Shouldn't ever use impact to install axle nut, lesson from early '80s when boss & I figured out why so many repeated hub/brg failures!

Damn. Not too excited about cutting off parts to my brand new truck. I should have just hired someone else to do it and not think about it. Kinda like surgery. You don't want to watch. Just wake up and go home.
Not gonna find any lifts where you don’t have to cut anything off the front crossmembers.
It's minor and can be welded back on if you go back to stock
Rough country it's called suspension lift kit for a reason.. why after all the work would you supply a 4" spacers that is gonna ride like crap ?

The supplied larger knuckles require a minimum 20" wheel size

I'm trying to install my list and can't get pass the last two bolts that's on top of the Diff. Literally the only thing that's stopping me from finishing.

@@THEEVERYTHINGTHINGCHANNEL in theory, yes, but not if you live where rust is a thing and if you don't have a lift. My truck is 3 years old and the only thing that went smooth was removing the wheels. After that, every bolt is a fight.

Why remove the axel after you remounted the differential?
Have you guys considered making longer struts? I know bilstein has adjustable ones, but I'd love a set of proper length n2.2 struts that would eliminate the need for a front spacer, and match the rear shocks.

I currently have this lift on my ram but now i want to go 6 inch lift. What can i add to what i already have to to be at 6inches lift? Or do i have to buy a whole new suspension lift ? Help

Yes it is safe. We would not release a product that was not safe for the consumer. This kit is designed to lift and level the stance as well as maintain stock geometry and ride quality.

I have an 03 ram 1500 and I was wondering if you guys sold a 4" lift kit that was less than $1,000. Not trying to be cheap but a $1,000 seems like way too much for such a small lift
jdawsnipes I'm sorry but due to the large list of vital components to achieve the 4" lift on the Dodge we were not able to produce a kit with a lower price point.
And im over here paying 4k for a 1.5 inch level. Granted its an icon performance suspension kit, and not just a pointless lift
I see absolutely no reason to remove the front axle shafts in this video, is there something I am missing?. I am about to do an install in the next few weeks would love to know if I can skip that part I see no benefit in removing them.
It just makes it easier to work with while dropping the diff and installing the cross members. You don't have to if you don't want to.
How long do these lifts take to install? My mechanic is throwing on a 6" on my 2015RAM 1500 and he's well into the second day. Is this normal? Thanks!

Here is a copy of the install instructions of the 2008 Dodge install. It is similar to this one.
Was the shocks installed correctly with the body up and shaft down?
The 2.2 and V2 shocks would mount body up and piston down. Yes. The 2.0 and N3 shocks mount body down and piston up.
So this kit lifts and levels? What if I want some rake cause I tow a camper? Why cant I use 17in rims?
Yes this kit will lift and level, as do all of our kits. If you wanted to retain some factory rake you would have to go with a larger spacer in the rear. You have to run the 20" wheels do to the larger lift knuckles

4 inch lift, no. 6 inch lift, yes, and the kit comes with a relocation bracket.
Can you use different shocks and springs with this kit?
You could as long as they are rated for 4" of lift on this make and model of vehicle.

Yes the install for the 2009 is the same process.

So once you cut that rear diff bracket I guess that's the point of no return? lol... What if at some point you need to return the suspension to stock?
You are not able to return to stock once this kit is installed. You can go to a bigger kit but will not allow you to return to stock.
You can always save the piece you cut off and weld it back on. That’s why I saved mine.
is this the other xact same for the 6" Ram lift? if I have Billstein 5100 struts set at 2.8 am I supposed to skip the strut spacer part?
If you are running the Bilstein you will need to just set it to the stock length and you will be fine to run this kit with spacer on that strut

Yes.
Derek that's why I really look over a truck that's been lifted. You never know who installed the kit and obviously you problem truly sucks. Maybe jack up the truck and support the weight on the frame and check all parts to see if any are loose.

If you keep the part you cut of and have it welded back but it would be hard to get it back to perfectly stock
I dont see why I couldn't run my bilsteins set at 1.5 with my lift. Any extra insight on this would be appreciated.
If you add the Bilsteins set to 1.5" with this kit it will bind up the CV axles and create drive line and geometry issue.

Too invasive. A nice leveling kit and 33s will be just fine. Permanent modifications are not desirable.

You will have to remove the leveling kit before you install this 4" kit. This 4" is designed to lift and level.
this looks a lot easier than lifting a chevy truck.
I was reading the install paper and it said i cant reuse my factory 17in wheels. Why not? Its on a 16 1500 ram

Yes you are able to run a suspension kit in conjunction with a body lift. That is no problem at all.
Lift kit like this reminds me women's heels. Only benefit is you sit higher if that's what you are after.
will those front sway bar end links work with another lift kit? say Zone?
As long as it is a 4" lift kit on the vehicle these end links will be fine.
@ rough country i want to buy this product but trying to do my research for the mean time i want to keep my stock which are 275/65/ 20 could those work until i am able to afford the new wheels and tires could i do that or do i have to replace with bigger tires and if the truck is higher than i wanted it to be after you cut those parts off there is pretty much no going back correct. is there any lift that makes it where you dont have to cut pieces out of the truck underside

I put a 4in lift kit on my 2018 ram ecodiesel now the right rear coil spring comes out place everytime I pick my truck off the ground
If it is not properly seated in the coil bucket it will do that once you drop the axle down
It is properly seated in the buckets their almost two in gap between the top of coil spring to the spacer supplied with the kit once the vehicle is lifted up in the hoist
