Feeling a little stressed. Then "hi everybody" instant relief. Thanks Papa John
Haha I agreed with your comment, then you made me think of pizza 🙈, goodbye summer shredz
Same here😊🇫🇮
I know Alfie! Then I see 17 thumbs down for the video and I'm like: "Why would anyone want to downvote a John Meadows video?"...I don't know John personally, but I can tell he's one of the nicest guys in the industry
@@Swoleheart misclicks mostly, then maybe some jealous amateur yo yo practitioners
@@rockyevans1584 😅
John's voice is like a verbal Bro hug
Pin/floor presses are really handy for people training at home as well 👌🏼
Yeah and it's also harder than conventional presses
Pin presses are a game changer.. started doing them in the smith machine and the outer head of my tricep has gotten noticeably thicker over the last few months
This is not merely at great bodybuilder , coach and business man but father husband and all around damn great man. Hook em old-timer lol
Such a humble man.... Learnt a lot from him....
My first you tube mentor, too✌️🇫🇮
@@janneplanman6433 nice 😊... Mee too
He needs to go to the Kentucky derby cause he has some horse shoes for triceps
This channel has to be by far my favorite. The reasons are to many to list but I will say my top 3. Number 1 Your integrity and honesty is palpable. Number 2 You are a great coach. You explain things in a way that I understand when doing exercise index but also when I watch the videos of workouts with guests and friends you are quick to give cues and explain the reason for it. You are a natural educator. Number 3.. You are a family man. You have a great family it’s kind of going back to the integrity point but deserves it’s own category. You share some your family life with us and it’s genuine. Your family is bonded with love.
Thank you for the quality content!!
We need that John Meadows x Hypertrophy Coach collaboration again!
That amount of knowledge is not allowed on RUclips
Please 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
they have if i remember correctly
Alright, hi, John Meadows! Everybody here.
ha! nice one..
JM press became one of my core triceps exercise since I saw another John’s video from a few months ago. I do it by letting the bar travel along a straight vertical line up and down, right above my chin. Phenomenal stimulus for muscle growth and I think it helps my triceps to get stronger for bench press too! Highly recommend everyone to try 👍
Thank you for everything you gave us john
I did your Side Lateral Heavy Dumbell Swings during my shoulder workout this morning. I love them! Thank you so much for all the quality content. Subbed and shared.
Only real meatheads read "DO THEM NOW" in Arnold's voice. DO IT! COME ON!
😂🤭
Been training using your videos for the last couple of months and it's amazing my training is coming along great and it's all thanks to you John thanks for all your help your the king of bodybuilding teaching
Jm presses, done properly, are a game changer for medial head development for benching and those who get beat up shoulders easily
yep
I just recently discovered your channel. I appreciate the content and great instruction. Thanks for posting these!
Welcome!
He always delivers. I feel like if I think it, he makes a video about it. Ever since my pinched nerve a few years ago, the medial head of my left tricep doesn’t extend all the way to my elbow. I hate the lack of symmetry. Going to try these to see if they can help.
Always good info from John
Thanks a lot John for the video just what I needed to see for I need to put more emphasis on my triceps especially when we can get back in the gym over here. Very best wishes from Chester UK. Jim Harrison.
Love the T-shirt 👕... Looking great! 💪🏻
Wake up Saturday morning to mountain dog exercise index video.... great shirt John!
Thanks John, great stuff as always
Very welcome
Look forward to trying the pin press. I do these on an incline Smith sometimes for upper chest cause of my shoulder injury . So i can load the bar up with less of a range of motion . I like pressdowns on the pull up assist machine alot also . No tension on my bad shoulder . Great video John !
Thank you for your videos from spain.👏🙂
The lying on the floor tricep extension and pin press were eye openers . Thank you mountain dog
Dig it. Thanks John.
yepp really good tips!
good video john
Im loving the pin presses so far. Finally getting some triceps
Close grip pin presses (or better yet CG board presses) along with long head work are the truth for big arms.
Thanks a lot for the valuable info Jhon you are a legend.. 😍🤟🏻💪🏻💪🏻
These 3 are the king of tri exercises, love it.💪
Excellent information as always John.
Glad to help
@@mountaindog1 I’m a huge fan of the close grip bench and skull crushers.
Hi John! Looking good man. Love your content.
I love the jm press.....I actually use it when I can feel micro tears or some sort of manageable injury on my tricep
The nicest guy in bodybuilding, with great advice
Excellent... I've been seeing you do the kettle bell extensions for a long time...makes me wanna get some so I can give em a try.
No matter what I'm doing as soon as your video hits coach, I leave everything and see it
Honest content as usual.
Thank you!
Looking forward to trying out those kettlebell extensions on my next press workout after some heavy dumbbell presses. Elbows should be warmed up by then.
THANKS John. Tried your 2 handle tricep. Really good workout, so tried them on bicep. Talk about a different burn, and felt really good. So again thanks again.
Great to hear!
Listen to John about the warm up for the JM press. I've had elbow tendon messed for months cause went straight into a JM press/ straight barbell skull crusher without warm up.
With only 490k subscribers, this channel is way underrated! John is the super hero captain! 🇺🇸💪
Love love love your t shirt......this is the way ❤
Loved the shirt
I started to do pin presses on the smith machine, just to be courteous to the squatters, and they are probably now my favorite triceps exercise.
JM Press on the Smith machine is amazing, try it out!
Gonna try these today 💪
Love the t-shirt where u get that from? Love the triceps video too :)
Thanks 👍
John, other than JM himself, you're the first person to even mention this exercise. I love it. I also love the Pin Presses.
It’s a JM club!
i just did pinpress. they are great. i've done them with a narrow grip, but i'm gonna try them with a more medium grip next time
I use the other two all the time! I'll try the JM press though.
This is the way John !!
Very cool! I have never mastered the JM press. It has a skullcrusher element to it and I am never sure if I am doing it right :) Time to try it again!
I've been doing barbell OHP with some pretty gnarly bands and I'm just loving it for my triceps.
Thanks
I know kickbacks arent very hardcore to do haha but no other exercise can replicate that contraction in my long head like I get from kickbacks. Especially the pronated version you sometimes suggest. CRAZY contraction in the tricep
Super workout
Lol funny this morning I told myself I'm gonna focus on triceps today, and here you are posting this video, you THA MAN JOH+
I love that shirt! This is the way!
Looking forward to seeing the bloodwork video. Is that still coming soon?
Love the shirt😂
Hey Mr. Meadows, summer is a couple months away. I was wondering if u could do a video on body recomposition
I need that T-shirt!
John, I do those 'deadstop' skullcrushers with an ez bar and love them! I also do a variation with seated Db extensions where I briefly let the dumbbell rest on the pad behind me
I call them Deadskulls 😁 sounds badass haha
The JM press is my fav exercise
Hey john could you do a video about adductors? Thanks
After watching another video about triceps, the JM press has become one of my favorites.
I needed this my triceps are lagging bad!
I thought you would include your lying dumbbell kickbacks to activate the long head. I tried them and immediately felt the cramping in the long head after doing 4x25 as a warm up. I then did low cable standing kickbacks and high cable overhead extensions as a finisher to get maximum resistance and the maximum concentric point. Was able to get the tricep to hurt the next day.
Hi John you're using two of my favourite exercises in England we use slightly different names for them the pin press name is lockouts the JM press name is tricep bench press stay safe and healthy
The Dadalorian! 😆
Hi John, what are the best tricep exercises for people with elbow pain?
legend
What do you think about the dip machine pushdown (i.e., standing behind the machine and pushing down on the pad)?
Thanks for also showing the wrong angles. I think that's as helpful as showing the right ones!
JM BLAKLEY, himself, has 3 videos on RUclips explaining the JM Press. He says to lower the bar towards the chin/neck area. John appeared to be lowering the bar closer to his nose/forehead.
I don't have kettle bells at our gym. Its a basic powerlifting gym. I started using dumbells but hold the flat plate like a pullover and do those lying down. Works good as well if you don't have kettle blues and forces your elbows back for stretching.
dude been doing JM Presses for a while... and I'm telling you, some of best triceps exercises I've ever done
John, do you think you have to do some sort of heavy loading on the tricep like a pin press, or would just a pushdown and some extensions and kickbacks be enough??
close grip bench and dips i find add the most mass and strength to my tri’s. generally anything that allows me to use the most weight.
JM press is a fantastic exercise👌
Nice to see someone else lifting in a Star Wars shirt John!
You know it!
Kettlebells are an underused piece of equipment , I use them quite a lot personally , the unbalanced weight is great for functional strength .
I don't hate kettlebell but he functional strength term talked with kettlebell doesn't make sense.
@@Msreesaranyan they’re harder to balance on the eccentric and concentric motion, recruiting more stabilizer muscles = more “functional” strength in day to day life of carrying awkward things
More quality advice. Thanks. Close grip bench press is the best tricep compound move (with weighted dips) personally. It should be mentioned is best to not get too cocky with the amount of weights for close grip. You can overestimate and get into some trouble putting the bar back safely. Smith machine is better for beginners. Just my opinion
What do you think about dumbbell kick backs??
yes. the tricep excercise is a bit tricky on elbows, often feel itchy and discomfort when its not filled with blood or warmed up
Great tricep exercises M Dog I personally love the JM Press it's a staple in my workouts!!👌👍👏💪😎
I do my pin presses on the Smith machine with the spotters in place
JM presses are phenomenal
Make a video on coq10🔥
I was taught a long time ago but I don't see too many people do it and that's to get on an incline bench they back with two dumbbells and hold them in with Knuckles facing each other and then sort of push out locking your elbows in place but pushing the weight out and up.
Sort of like how boxers punch their knuckles against each other start that way laying on the bench then sort of look like you're reaching out for a hug but with your normal hands facing down. While you're reaching out doing the hug thing lock your elbows into place then bring just your hands back to your chest and then go back up for rep another rep. I was told this a long time ago from an Old School cat and I don't see people doing it especially these days but it works. I'm not positive but I believe I seen Jay Cutler doing it in one of his videos
Up till last year I went to the same gym as JM. He's still firggin huge and a real approachable guy.
What about pull over press?
A powerlifting series please daddy!!!
What is your take on the telle extention?
The kettlebell is my absolute favourite tool in my weight Arsenal
I’m a big fan of tricep kickbacks they look a little silly but they always give me a great pump
From Russia with love👍👍
