  • A short clip showing the early days of the DHC-2 including manufacturing of Beavers in de Havilland Canada's Downsview facilities in the 1950s, delivery takeoff with floats from Downsview airport, float testing, and finally entry into service. The last clip shows its use as a utility aircraft in the USAF where its exceptional STOL abilities were coveted.

    I flew several of those Beavers in the arctic 50+ years ago. Some of these great airframes are still with us. Great video. More please.
