From a design point of view, this car is very well thought out because it seems to have gotten the balance right between form and function. It's so beautiful, it should've been the new Alfa Guilia. If I were in the market for another car, this would be the one I'd buy, if it were produced in this form, no changes. Congrats, Ford, especially to the design team on this one👋👋👋👋.

yeah ding the front end and you may as well buy a new car as its all one piece. on no planet will this go into production in this form
But from the engineering point of view, it's a nightmare. I can't imagine how they expect to provide the necessary rigidity to a sports car that is supposed to be both lightweight and stiff.

I'd like to ask Ford from Ford's fanboy point of view. Please improve the battery management system. Looks like it's going to destroy everything on the road, but it's Ford who's lagging behind anyone. What's important to you right now is not design, but a technological approach.
Now if they called this a Mustang, I would get it. The current Mustang Mach-E should not have the name Mustang on it. It is a different car, not a Mustang. This Evos meets the neat car category. I need to go see it in reality.

Ford should consider design a new badge. The one using now is outdated and looks old.

A beautiful design except for the ford badge that still carries the image of an old ford history. Change the FORD BADGE design in the same way Kia changed their badge design. The consumers of the future are design and taste conscious.

This is the design study. Once it gets passed over to engineering, then to cost analysis, compliance and so on, the car will look like a 2015 ford fusion.
EV chassis allow for a lot of unique design choices we can't do with gas cars because all those moving parts take up space. These doors are definitely possible
I bet they would have better sales if it simply reintroduced the Ford Fusion with a 5ltr V8 in an AWD platform.

Well since Ford was part owner in Aston Martin (look at the Ford Fusion, it has Aston vibes all over it) that's exactly where the look cones from.
@@richardroundtree2022 Technically the designer for Ford designed the looks for the Aston, so when you are to compare them both it's Aston that looks like the Ford, not the opposite.
@raionshishi8290 wrong, Ian Callum when he was at Ford from 1979 to 1990 designed Fiestas and Mondeos (which didn't look like an Aston Martin at no time) in 1991 he was appointed General Manager and Chief Designer at TVR and was partially responsible for Aston Martin DB7 and he designed the Aston Martin Vanquish. 1990 he directed design of Jaguar and Aston Martin in which was then a Ford subsidiary, in 2006 he designed the Jaguar XK another dead ringer for an Aston Martin DB9 and Aston Martin helped Ford redesign the Fusion hence the Aston Martin front facisa look on thre Fusion, like I said .
@@richardroundtree2022 Old school Fords have that front facia that most new Ford vehicles use in their modern interpretation and rendition, and those old school and new school front facia designs can be seen on the Astons of today, so considering he worked mostly for Ford and had the designs more so for Ford, it is right to say that the Aston is mostly copying Fords design, since again, they used a Ford employee or someone who came from Ford. Also this isn't coming from me directly or I am not claiming this as my own words, this is coming from a video that was based on the Aston Martin Victor, which literally has the same comments talking about how it literally looks like a Mustang, to which caused many people to bring up the whole topic of who designed the cars and why they look so similar.
Put two regular doors on it and a hatchback, then ditch the electric nonsense and put in the mustang v6 with all wheel drive. Keep it under 50,000 dollars and they won't be able to make enough of them.
My last Mustang was a custom-built 2005 Roush.

Can’t understand FMC. They from time to time display ‘great looking cars’ at the auto shows, but never ever put them into production. Or they’ll put something out that looks nothing, or very little, like the vehicles at the shows.

I do say it is the future, but until the future can keep-up the pace driven by our current ICE world, my new GT Premium 5.0 still owns the show. Good job Ford for having a lens to the future and ear to the ground, building cars and trucks people want and upping your game! It can only get better from here, we’ve come a long way from my first date in a 1974 LTD!
It's a really a Damn Hot Car.
They will never build this car. Waste of money. If they ever built a car with doors like that, they are just something else to break down. Over-complicating something.
This car never went into production but should have! Instead Ford gave the Fusion and the Mustang styling ques from the car. The Mustang got the roof and body lines and some inspiration from the headlights and grill. The Evos actually evolved into a sedan called the Fusion which if you look at the front is almost a mirror as well as the taillight assembly. For me this is what the Fusion Sport should've been.
Ford need to loose the old lean on the Aston Martin designer they once employed and think beyond the nineties grille, also a step forward in Logo and badge design will help the brand move closer to they’re aims?

Ford and GM continue to disappointment me! If Ford is going to be all electric, bring back the Mark 7 as one of the fastest, luxurious electrical coupes available. Ford has the luxury brand of Lincoln so use it properly! When there’s a vehicle like the one in this video, then they slap a Ford badge on it, it’s just a Ford. The Ford badge is only prestigious on trucks and the Mustang!
Almost the same thing with GM. The front of Cadillacs are some of the most gorgeous cars on the road, but GM forgets about the rear of the vehicles. When you’re behind a Porsche, Bently, Mercedes, BMW, Audi or even a Tesla, you know you’re behind something special / exotic!The rear of Cadillacs should be aggressive, wide and low!

As for the battery, keep it in your basement or bury it in your back yard. There's no place to bring them unless you're willing to pay a $10.000 disposition fee. We can put a gas engine in that thing for about 3 grand.
Build me a full size luxury model with 4 doors that are standard and do away with some of the truly unessisary technical features that i know i would never use which would decrease price. The seating should be more cushioned and plush with a fine stitched leather. Keep the TV monitors to cut cost. I watch TV at home. Add a great sound system and then it would be a beast and then I'll take one. But it's a nice looking car and has a range of 500 plus miles which supersedes any EV. Ford should just concentrate on the production of sport and high-end full size luxury automobiles and making them with a great price. Over all, nice car.....
Looks like a good looking Model 3... which makes sense since Ford used to own Mazda and Tesla's lead designer is responsible for the 2008 Mazda line up. It looks good, but almost nothing in this video will make production on a sub $100k car.
IF they put this into actual production, make it Electric with 400 Mile Range and PRICE it UNDER $40K Ford will KILL Tesla.
If Musk ran Ford, this would be the production version, but he doesn’t, so we’ll end up with something that’s a slightly better ‘97 Escort.

This looks like the prototype of the previous Mondeo. Back then there was also the Evos. It's still old Ford 'Aston Martin' design, instead of the more bland new Ford design.
But its for the Chinese market only! What gives with that? Oh UAW workers cannot compete with quality requirements - Is that so?

The way the doors open are very impractical. Where are you going to park it? Unbelievably poor design. If the door were normal it would be a winner.
Now they just have to finish designing it and build the factory line and build it and sell it for a profit before bankruptcy.
