I have been starting and frogging blankets for daaaaays. Then I found this video and FINALLY! Something I can do up with multiple colours and I think it will look stunning. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this Inspiration! I am making myself a Patchwork blanket with this pattern, and I love it soooo much. Your videos are so good explained and easy to unterstand, also thank you for that too
I just uncovered some skins of velvet yarn and I couldn't figure out what stitch would be the best. I search tons of videos and couldn't find anything I liked. Lo and behold your video pops up today and saves the day. Love the stitch. Can't wait to make my blanket thanks for the tutorial.❤❤❤
Thank you for this! I have been looking for a beginner friendly textured blanket pattern for chenille yarn for months and this made the BEST swatch by far. I'm in the UK and used James C. Brett Flutterby chunky. It looks fantastic so far. Now I just hope I can finish it in time for the recipient. Update: I finished it in time. They loved it.
Hey there! I keep trying to keep crocheting blankets but the width of my blanket keeps increasing even though I’m counting my stitches and it isn’t noticeable. I can’t keep a constant length. Could you please advise how I could fix/avoid this?
I love seeing all of your blankets. However they all seem to be worked across. Do you have any worked in the round? I am trying to use up stash yarn and never know if I will have enough to do one going back and forth.
That is a beautiful stitch and beautiful blanket but as I understand it Bernat is discontinuing the Baby Velvet yarn... they have already discontinued the 5 weight regular velvet yarn... sure praying there will be a company out there that has a good substitute because I would love to make this pattern and use the baby velvet 4 weight yarn...
I’m a stitch ambassador for yarnspirations and I’ll double check but they haven’t told me that it’s being discontinued just some shades are being discontinued. I hope they keep making it ❤
well if they are discontinuing it I know that Herrshner's carries a 4 weight velvet yarn as well... so guess all is not lost. It does not have the same amount of yarn per skein but they do have some very pretty colors... It is called Herrshners Simply Velvet yarn if you are interested @@DaisyFarmCrafts 😍
@@marcicummings9417yes I do! Sometimes it drives me crazy when I’m trying to record but mostly I love watching them fly over. Lots of small engine planes.
Thats a pretty blanket! I've tried using Bernat baby velvet, but my work tends to worm a lot. Any tips on how to prevent that? I would like to use velvet yarn again! Thanks!
A coworker just had a Baby and they waited to find out the gender until she was born. The last couple days I have been thinking about using this yarn to make a blanket for her but didn't know what stitch pr pattern to use.
Out of interest how long has this project taken for those of you who’ve done it? Beginner crocheter here. Made mine slightly longer and Im worried I wont get it finished in time for the recipient
Has anyone had a problem with the velvet yarn "looping" after it was finished? On my velvet items I have crocheted, if you don't do the stitch very tight, afterwards the yarn starts to "loop" up after use and time.
Loved this stitch…. My blanket came out beautifully!!! Thank you sooo much for your video!!

I have a question. Do you live by an airport? I always hear helicopters or small engine air planes in the back ground.

What colour are you using? Can’t seem to find it. Thank you.
Orchid Hush. I realized after I started making this it is a discontinued shade. There is a similar lighter purple on Yarnspirations though. ❤

Yes, we have to use a smaller hook than the one mentioned in the label.
I’m having the same problem using a 5 mm 😢
❤
Is it possible to use two colors ?
I
🧶😘😍🥰👏👏👏❤️👍
