Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's that time of year for me to start crocheting blankets for gifts. I tend to audition patterns because my family prefers Bernat blanket yarn. I crochet samples first until I find a pattern that works for me. I usually come back to your patterns because of your teaching style. You're the best instructor for me! This pattern is perfect! Thank you again!🤩
This pattern and yarn are so beautiful! My first velvet blanket. Your tutorial is so well done and easy to follow. Thanks for being detailed and sharing your talent! :)
Agreed! Appreciate the calm voice. There are way too many high pitched, loud, annoying tutorials out there :D even if they are useful, it can be pain to watch. On the other hand ,I could watch this one over and over. Thank you for the video
I love this pattern, the look and feel of the velvet yarn is so nice. I am making it for my niece for graduation. I am running into the problem of adding a stitch after the second berry row and not realize it until the next berry row when I don't finish with a single stitch. I have frogged it about four times now. I think it might have to do with the stitch two at the end of the row. Do we have to stitch two? Any other suggestions if it isn't the stitch two?
Hi! I love your channel and blanket patterns. I keep running into a problem where my last stitch will be a berry stitch instead of a single crochet as you mentioned in your video. Any tips? Thanks so much!
The written patterns shows measurements for completed project (38” by 58”) Does that measure the throw before adding the border? I’m not sure how many repeats (rows 3-6) to make before starting border. What are the measurements of the throw before I start the border?
Great tutorial! However I ran into trouble with the fourth row [hdc in front two loops] where I am just not seeing a front loop across the berry row, there is only a top chain with spaces between the berry clusters...what might I have done wrong in the previous row??
I just started this pattern a few days ago. I agree that the front loops are very difficult to see. If you take a close look at the yarn behind the top edge of the berry stitch, you will see the top of the “v” of the stitch, then right below it another 1/2 of a “v” of the stitch which will be the first front loop to insert your hook into. The second front loop will be the piece of yard directly on top of it. I hope that makes sense. It kind of helps to locate the top of the stitch and make sure your hook is coming out in the middle of the “v” and that you have two loops visible on your hook when you begin the stitch.

I don't worry about the last stitch I put it through the top 2 loops so the edges are neat especially with this yarn and a blanket pattern.
Thank you! You explained sooo well.
😍 VERY BEAUTIFUL STITCH...
That’s really a nice interesting pattern and I like the yarn. 😊👍 thank you
Will berries st pulled when washed because the velvet yarn seems to pull (or loose) when washing? thanks.
This is blanket you talk about😮
Can you use any kind of yarn or only a velvet yarn?

Beautiful pattern, do you use the same kind of yarn for the border?
Hi does the Ch2 in every turn is counted as a stitch for hdc?
How would this look with variegated color yarn?
