    Doing this in the Caron Colorama Halo yarn. It looks amazing and you are right - once you get the first row or two, there's no need for the pattern. This is a great, relaxing project.

    A quick question pls.? How much yarn did you use on the boarder? -- in grams would be super helpful as I’m in a country that I couldn’t buy Bernal baby velvet yarn. Thank you in advance. 🤩

      I was going to ask this I started doing this with multicolored yarn same brand but white green and blue and I’m having a hard time with the front to back part (the 3rd step) it’s be easier if I was working with the other side I can see it a little better but on the back side right after step two and you turn it over I cant see it at all.

    Hi! Pls help me! I’ve redone this project at least 3 times by now :( so in the pattern, it says to chain 115 but it’s 14+3 in case if you wanted to make it larger. So I multiplied 12 x 14 plus 3 and got 171. So I chained 171. However, once I started doing that pattern of 7 FPDC and then 13 and all that…my end never ended up with 7. It keeps stopping at 5. I’m not sure what calculations I’m doing wrong :(

    • @katielerdtadsin5666
      @katielerdtadsin5666 2 года назад

      And I definitely made sure to count the chain 2 as one stitch! I made sure to get that down. But I’m just short two.

    How many chains will be required for full length baby blanket

    • @marigeobrien
      @marigeobrien 3 года назад

      Here's where you need to do some math. To repeat the pattern, you want to chain 14 for each diamond, then 3 extra chains at the end. So multiples of 14 + 3. The typical width of a baby blanket is anywhere from 36" to 42". The number of repeats also depends on what kind of yarn you use. She's using a really chunky yarn but you can do the same pattern with any yarn. Just do a small swatch to check the gauge.

Keep experimenting because I know that this yarn is awesome. Thanks for the video, try one of my ideas, I think you will find it looks great.

    Tiffany, I absolutely Love this, Love all your patterns and Videos actually. I used Velvet type yarn years ago for the top of hand towels and kitchen towels, you know the ones with the crocheted tops that hook over the oven door rail, anyway, never had a problem with ends unraveling and they get washed a lot, but anyway, I have just been thinking, that maybe getting a matching, blending, cotton sewing thread and sewing over the ends with a quick whip stitch may help with that problem, seems to me it could blend in invisibly and may disappear, just a thought. Love your Work. :)

    you can use the Russian join, the one where you lay the yarn over and make a knot at one end and then the other end and pull them tight and then pull the knots together very tight, and it has not come apart.

      Wan Lovett, that wouldn’t be a good idea. The best way would be a darning needle and to go back and forth with a long tail. Over the years I’ve used crochet hooks designed for thread because it gets the yarn in and out on short tails.

    • @DaisyFarmCrafts

      The chart is not the complete blanket, just a section that you can repeat. I started with 115 chains and the finished size was approximately 34 inches by 34 including the border. All the details are on the website. Here's the link: daisyfarmcrafts.com/crochet-ribbed-diamond-blanket/

    Question.. in your instructions on the link provided.. row six begins with BPDC's. Row seven begins with BPDC's. Row eight begins with BPDC's. Since rows six & eight appear in pattern correctly, shouldn't row seven begin with FPDC's? The pdf version may be correct, but I printed the instructions from your webpage.

    • @PokieKnows
      @PokieKnows 5 лет назад

      Note that I got stuck while working on this row and went back to youtube to re-watch the video. This particular video was listed/displayed on other channels but the video appeared to be yours. Hoping you get the revenue and count, not the others!

    • @DaisyFarmCrafts
      @DaisyFarmCrafts  5 лет назад +1

      The turning chain counts as the first stitch so count that as a FPDC. It will make sense when you are crocheting. That 7th row would be the widest part of a diamond. Thanks for your comment!
