  • If you've never owned a microphone for your teaching studio, I got you!
If you KNOW you need to allow your singers of popular styles to use a microphone (so it becomes second nature) and are ready to invest, I'm here to help.
In the download (link below ⬇️) you'll get links and descriptions of the pieces I demonstrate in this video. (I use a Shure SM58 and a Behringer B105D) They are inexpensive and user-friendly. In fact, you MAY not need this video at all! But just in case you're feeling a little nervous...

➡️ Meredith Colby has been teaching “microphone” singers...people who sing in bands, singer/songwriters, and music theater people...for over 30 years. As a veteran band singer with over 10,000 hours onstage, she knew there had to be a way to get singers a healthy way to sound awesome, even when they can’t hear themselves. Studying brain science and putting it together with what she has learned about singing (and voices) she created NeuroVocal Method. Her book is MONEY NOTES: How to Sing High, Loud, Healthy, and Forever. She teaches voice teachers, pro singers, and adult singers, and presents for groups.

I have this thing, just for singing at home. But what I miss is some sort of reverb. What kind of equipment can I get to give my vocals some reverb?

Was thinking of buying this speaker but would mainly be using (with a decent mic) for a home karaoke setup for parties. Would you imagine it will be powerful enough for this use? It will be microphone only as we have a separate set up for the music.

I think it would be perfect for that! So much easier for the singer than trying to get the sound from the speakers, and less chance for feedback if the speakers are in front of the singer.
