I will never understand why people who hate these movies will watch them anyway. If these Disney remakes make you that unhappy, then perhaps you should consider to stop watching them instead of giving Disney money to make more terrible remakes?
I really like Taika Waititi, but not his genre, something about superhero comedy just doesn't work unless its dark or twisted like The Boys or Deadpool.
Ive been watching Jeremy reviews for years now, at this point I just watch whatever Jeremy says is good and according to my mood. Feeling bored = no alcohol required 😁, feeling like spending 100$ at cinema = aswometacular THANK YOU JEREMY !!!!!
That's unfortunate, there are so many great movies that Jeremy hasn't reviewed. I will recommend you watch more trailers, write down the ones you liked, and then wait for reviews to decide whether or not to see them.
@Bad Boys Boogie yikes. Obi-Wan was solid but felt more like filler content than a real story. This was the same issue I had with Boba Fett's series. FYI I will say that Vader was the single best thing in Obi-Wan's series. Ring of Power was boring as hell. I looove Lord of The Rings and I love a good slow burn story but jeez I've seen slugs on sandpaper move faster than the pacing in that series. Fantastic Beasts much like The Hobbit are such obviously soulless cash grab that its weird seeing anyone defend. They took limited material and stretched beyond anything reasonable. The writing is weak and convoluted. I will say the acting is decent but not enough to fix the story. Listen, you can like whatever you want but Jeremy was on the mark with his reviews on these bricks you love.
I need Jeremy to upload a new 5sec video, with a blank background, of him saying "The Mouse phoning in the fuck in" and then pounding his Lagavulin. That gif would get soooooo much use.
The end year video we've truly been waiting for. Jeremy, thank you again for your yearly dedication to trudge through the bog of garbage movies so we don't have to!
Agree with all apart from Uncharted. I was pleasantly surprised by their take on the franchise, even as someone that as completed all the games many times over! Happy new year Jeremy
when I first immigrated into America from Ukraine in the 90s, Pinocchio was the first vhs we ever owed as kids, I’ve have that film memorized and it stands for everything in my childhood. when I tried to watch the remake with my own children now, I almost cried, couldn’t agree with you more, Disney is ruining itself from within 😢
Disney is really falling apart, and as if the problems within Disney and the rest of its associates, such as Marvel, Lucasfilms and Pixar, couldn't get anything but worse, as time went by. And honestly, Bob Chapek and Bob Iger (as well as Kathleen Kennedy) gets all the blame for the disaster that the company is enduring, thanks to their pathetic garbage leftist politics being thrown at the audiences, leaving the latter being disgusted.
My wife and I were trying to figure out what movie to watch… so I watched your best movies of 2020-2022 and realized that I should have watched your worst movies of 2020-2022 cause those are actually the kinda movie we enjoy!! So thanks for making that list too!
I thought uncharted was a fun movie. It's not good, but its by no means a bad movie. Yea, it's unoriginal, cliche, predictable, and stiff acting; but I had a ton of fun with it.
There’s a lot worse out there to be fair. Ends is mostly disappointing rather then completely shit. Very meh because there is some fun to be had even when it should’ve been more. Still rather watch that and see some cool kills versus a lot of the bullshit nowadays.
@@brycebirkinbine4119 it failed on delivering kills as well, that’s why I hate it so much. Other bad Halloween movies at least had that as their redeeming factor.
As a non-gamer, I actually enjoyed _Uncharted_ enough to see it twice-and it’s far from ranking among my bottom 10 for 2022-but I can understand those who dislike it for being an adaptation in name only.
I swear to God just when you think the video game movie curse MIGHT FINALLY be over, something like Uncharted comes along to remind us that "oh...no....Sonic the Hedgehog, SONIC, THE FCKING HEDGEHOG is a gem in a sea of awful." And thanks to Chris Pratt I think the Blue Blur might be on his own in that regard. The Mario Movie looks GREAT, but when your LEAD is just boring as tar that's not great.
While I disagree that uncharted was as awful as people say it is, it is rather crazy that of all the video game adaptations, both sonic movies are the best ones so far
@@zaneps151 it's absolute insanity. But there's a reason for it: the people at the helm CARE about the story and characters. The movies have a REASON to exist; to explore Sonic as a character and explore his world as if it were on Earth. Which makes the absolute most sense since they're now introducing Shadow, who at one point wanted to wipe out humanity because he believed them to be responsible for the death of Maria, his only friend. Shadow is really such a fascinating character, and much more than an edgelord; I hope they get him right. They fixed Tails and Knuckles, so i have high hopes.
It's unreal that of all the franchises, Sonic the Hedgehog is the one that has the most heart to it. Cause even Marvel now just seems like....phoned in. Love and Thunder was the straw that broke the camel's back. I never much had a problem with the MCU humor, but even there it was just on overload. Meanwhile Sonic had moments of cringe and humor sure, but it kinda works because it's wholesome. I really want Robert Pattinson to play Shadow that would be mint.
The fact that the original "Borderlands" game used "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" as its theme seems to have a certain poetry to it, right about now...
Simon Kinberg might not be a good writer But you can bet he is a great producer It was because of him that we got FIRST CLASS, DEADPOOL and LOGAN And THE MARTIAN too
I can’t believe I’ve watched Jeremy for over 10 years. His the only person on RUclips I watch religiously and opinion I trust the most for movies, not saying others are good. But something about his wholesome manner always keep me coming back, happy new year sir

I still haven’t seen Morbius, Halloween Ends, Fantastic Beasts 2 and several others on this list cos i can’t be bothered wasting my time there is literally too much good cinema to waste time on the bad
Unpopular opinion: I found Simon Kingerg's direction in DARK PHOENIX pretty solid, much better than THE 355 He was able to give the movie an identity of its own, rather than trying to replicate Bryan Singer's direction Unlike Brett Ratner tried to do in THE LAST STAND
Dark Phoenix is a perfectly fine X-Men movie. Yeah there's some weird scenes and quicksilver was robbed as a character but the action scenes were great and the score by Zimmer is outstanding.
@@JurassicTrek maybe this is his mid life crisis time, he recently divorced his wife and got with another lady quick fast and they are all over the media which usually is a red flag. He is always looking silly and drunk in interviews now but again it might just be a phase... hopefully because he normally is on his A game!
I think the problem with most of these films is that many were released by On Demand or on streaming platforms which make it much easier to forget about a film because, once you watch it and you don’t like it, they’ll bury the title. They do this because if a project doesn’t perform to their expectations, instead of paying residuals, they use the algorithm to hide them. The marketing is as much of an issue as the creative and casting, it’s almost as if they want these projects to fail 🤔
Morbius was obviously supposed to be #1 on his list of BEST movies of 2022. He must have gotten his notes mixed up. That's what happens when you morb too much....

Lightyear I don't have a worst list but as of right now my most dissapointing film has to be Wendell and Wild, the Henry Selick stop motion film with Key and Peele. Excellent animation, top notch voice work, and Henry Selick's stellar direction keeps this movie from being bad, but the story and the characters just did not work for me. It had good ideas and themes, but the execution is sloppy and unrefined. I feel like it needed a bit more focus. But yeah, nah. Dissapointed by it. That's all :)
Nope was overrated as hell tbh and it's not as good to be part of Jordan Peele. The Batman is sooo good. Glass Onion is cool but Knives out was better tbh.

Pretty sure Love and Thunder hurt Jeremy the most because he had to make a third video talking about it that clearly enraged him having to do it.
He changed his rating too from better if drunk to t-minus
because, probably like me, Jeremy didn't know or had any expectations for most of those movies but did expect great things from Love and Thunder - only to be severely disappointed.
“Remakquels” I’m so using that word from now on! 😂
I'm very surprised "Halloween Ends" didn't make your list. However, I concur with all your picks.
Nah halloween ends wasnt bad, it was just a bad conclusion but decent standalone film
havent watched halloween ends but i liked the very first one and i thought halloween kills was just okay
@@bigmanliam the first one as in 1978. I enjoyed 2018, kills is just a lot of fun because michael is a beast. And 2018 is a good different story but bad conclusion. Youll like it more if you watch it as a standalone film
@@merksmovies25 i meant the 2018 one but i also watched the one in the 70s and i remember liking it
I was waiting for this too, i preferred Morbius to that Not Michael Myers movie
I hate new Mulan, I hate it with so much passion, I hate it more as time goes on. Mulan is one of my core memory, the film that taught me to be brave, that ingenuity triumphs over raw power. Ever since i watched Mulan 2020 i hoped that Disney wont destroy another film that is also dear to me, a film that shaped my morale and taught me so much... Pinocchio... yeah... man.. im not even mad now, i got too much hate that it exhausted me. now i am just sad and tired
Agreed
That sums up how I feel about Disney today, just sad and tired.
I will never understand why people who hate these movies will watch them anyway. If these Disney remakes make you that unhappy, then perhaps you should consider to stop watching them instead of giving Disney money to make more terrible remakes?
I actually like Beauty and the Beast but I feel after Lion King the Disney remakes got worse and worse.
I know how your feel bro.
#9 was the movie that made me go "You know what, maybe I don't need to go see all of these in a theater anymore."
facts!
I love that love and thunder made it to the list!
Same I hate that movie
predictably crap
I really like Taika Waititi, but not his genre, something about superhero comedy just doesn't work unless its dark or twisted like The Boys or Deadpool.
@@notverynotoriousg5674 I enjoyed ragnorak though.
@@notverynotoriousg5674 not necessarily. Ragnarok wasn't really dark and that was great. Idk where they went wrong with love and thunder lol
Ive been watching Jeremy reviews for years now, at this point I just watch whatever Jeremy says is good and according to my mood. Feeling bored = no alcohol required 😁, feeling like spending 100$ at cinema = aswometacular
THANK YOU JEREMY !!!!!
That's unfortunate, there are so many great movies that Jeremy hasn't reviewed. I will recommend you watch more trailers, write down the ones you liked, and then wait for reviews to decide whether or not to see them.
@@ThisIsMyFullName I do watch other movies, but Jeremy is my guy when im in doubt
Robot🤣🤣🤣
Now imagine growing up watching these movies instead. We were a lucky generation
You hit the nail on the head about most of these movies. The one word I would describe the movies this year is ‘disappointing.’
Or forgettable.
At least the tv was really good this year
I didn't even watch a ton of movies, and even I can agree with that sentiment with gaming.
Jurassic Park Dominion was just SO completely unnecessary....zzzzzzz
The Menu is my favorite of the year. So original.
At least we got 2 great blockbusters: The Batman and Avatar 2.
I completely forgot 355 came out this year. It feels at least 2 years old
You're not wrong lol. It's movie where its release was delayed years to oblivion because of covid.
I hadn't even heard of it until this video.
I respect that he uses big studio "blockbusters" that deserve to be exposed rather than picking easy crappy little budget horrors.
Halloween Ends should have been in the list.....
Me and my dad joke
Where the person who trying be new Michael Myers say Senpai teach me how to stab people.
when you said "cinematic universe" I immediately knew it was going to be love and thunder :D
I knew it after "when humor works"
Would Jeremy ever consider doing his top 10 best and worst movies of all time
Alright! The best list! Happy New Year, look forward to seeing your next reviews!
I'm shocked Halloween Ends is not on the list
And many in the comment section don’t include it :(
It’s so shit
There’s a lot worse out there to be fair. Ends is mostly disappointing rather then completely shit. Very meh because there is some fun to be had even when it should’ve been more. Still rather watch that and see some cool kills versus a lot of the bullshit nowadays.
@@brycebirkinbine4119 it failed on delivering kills as well, that’s why I hate it so much.
Other bad Halloween movies at least had that as their redeeming factor.
@@WhiteDragonXXXResurrection and rob zombies second movie are far worse
I said the same, but with Jeepers Creepers: Reborn
Having ambition is all it takes to make a videogame adaptation work
That's why UNCHARTED failed

@@skirtlitfamword for word 😂😂😂
Let's help this man out
They kind of just took Tom Holland because of Spider-Man
As a non-gamer, I actually enjoyed _Uncharted_ enough to see it twice-and it’s far from ranking among my bottom 10 for 2022-but I can understand those who dislike it for being an adaptation in name only.
“Your brain works hard to forget garbage “ - basically why I watch these lists
I’m shocked Halloween ends isn’t on here
Should be
He forgot it in T minus 1 day
It was number 11
These were all much worse
Fingers crossed for the last of us series
Not movies, but Arcane and Cyberpunk were great
Props Jeremy for your years on end of amazing content. You never change. Keep it up my guy. Love ya.
As predicted, AVI ARAD ruined MORBIUS
And now he's gonna ruin BORDERLANDS and KRAVEN THE HUNTER
The same way he ruined TASM2 and UNCHARTED
The fact that the original "Borderlands" game used "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" as its theme seems to have a certain poetry to it, right about now...
El muerto hahahaha
Simon Kinberg might not be a good writer
But you can bet he is a great producer
It was because of him that we got FIRST CLASS, DEADPOOL and LOGAN
And THE MARTIAN too
Thank you Jeremy for an awesome year. You hit right on pretty much every movie and love to see your take, they are always entertaining.
I can’t believe I’ve watched Jeremy for over 10 years. His the only person on RUclips I watch religiously and opinion I trust the most for movies, not saying others are good. But something about his wholesome manner always keep me coming back, happy new year sir
Honestly number 1 for me was jurrasic world which was more disappointing then I wanted. I was so excited for the concept of dinos rolling around the world, the old cast, but there was just so little that worked, and a lot that didn't. As much as I love jurassic park, I hope the movies are done for a while.
Happy New Year Jeremy! Thanks for another year of great content!
Me and my fiancée took 5 several attempts to try to finish Secrets of Dumb. It was so hard not to either fall asleep or just say “do you want to watch literally anything else instead of this”.

Also did you Watch The Women King? Feels like a good one that slipped your radar. But anyways Happy Holidays Jeremy!!
Fantastic production once again! Have a fantastic New Year's and 2023! Agree with you 💯 on your list. I know you could've re-vamped it 1000s of times.
2 of those films is in the top 10 highest grossers of the year people need to watch really great films like nightcrawler
The film is damn near a decade old. The Northman, The Outfit, Infinite Storm and Everything Everywhere all at Once are all great films that went under the radar except for perhaps EE

Your sentiment at the beginning of just not even bothering with a lot of movies that look dumb is exactly how I feel. I still haven’t seen Morbius, Halloween Ends, Fantastic Beasts 2 and several others on this list cos i can’t be bothered wasting my time there is literally too much good cinema to waste time on the bad

The list I am really excited for every year.
It's definitely good to reflect on the flops way more than the good. Helps films be better

Unpopular opinion:
I found Simon Kingerg's direction in DARK PHOENIX pretty solid, much better than THE 355
He was able to give the movie an identity of its own, rather than trying to replicate Bryan Singer's direction
Unlike Brett Ratner tried to do in THE LAST STAND
Come to think of it, Dark Phoenix had some cool scenes (the train sequence in particular)
Well, Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix clearly needed a Snyder Cut but studios had to trim it down or water it down.
@@RSG_TheMonster And everything Magneto.
Dark Phoenix is a perfectly fine X-Men movie. Yeah there's some weird scenes and quicksilver was robbed as a character but the action scenes were great and the score by Zimmer is outstanding.
I have to say this was my favorite review you have done I think comes down to honesty and the robe . Happy New Year Jeremy
9:55 For real. I've never seen a studio start phoning it in more than Disney these past years. Even Sony puts in more effort.
The new Thor movie was a slap to Stan Lee's face. I like Taika Waititi but he seems to be getting sillier as he gets older
They are destroying Thor just like they destroyed the Hulk. Unforgivable
Well hate to break to you but Stan Lee barely worked on the character…
Sillier AND more drunk. Watch any of his interviews. He needs some help.
@@JurassicTrek maybe this is his mid life crisis time, he recently divorced his wife and got with another lady quick fast and they are all over the media which usually is a red flag.
He is always looking silly and drunk in interviews now but again it might just be a phase... hopefully because he normally is on his A game!
@@agravery223 ok dork. "Quick fast"? 😂😂😂😂😂 what are you 5 years old? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"From the mouse phoning it the fuck in"🤣🤣🤣🤣
Idea: If the year is a good one for movies, release the best list for last while release the worst ones first and vice versa.
Starting Year 7 following your channel dude! Keep up the great work!
Lagavulin aftertaste legit tastes like you smoked a cigar, but somehow not as unpleasant.
Morbius #1, calling it right now
Update: Wasn't close, but it still made the list

Spent time putting together my top 10 and hear it is. I haven't seen every movie out this year and I'm hoping I can catch a few before the year is out which could shake up the list but this is what I have for rn:
1.) Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
2.) Avatar: The Way of Water
3.) The Batman
4.) Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery
5.) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
6.) Nope
7.) Top Gun: Maverick
8.) Prey
9.) Werewolf By Night
10.) Lightyear
I don't have a worst list but as of right now my most dissapointing film has to be Wendell and Wild, the Henry Selick stop motion film with Key and Peele.
I could almost confuse that as worst movies list with the exception of top gun 😂😂😂😂
@@Lightningdude go ahead man. I don't care. In my opinion these movies were some of the best of the year.
Nope was overrated as hell tbh and it's not as good to be part of Jordan Peele. The Batman is sooo good. Glass Onion is cool but Knives out was better tbh.
@@commander1suv492 respectfully disagree with Nope, The Batman is amazing and Pattinson is probably my favorite live action Batman to date, and as much as I like both Knives Out movies, part of me loves Glass Onion a little bit more.

I'll admit that I was willing to pay money to see the Disney live action Pinocchio in theaters. I'm glad that I don't have Disney+.
I want to thank you Jeremy for making this video. Because there is lot of Shill youtube channels who won't dare criticize anything from Hollywood especially from Disney like marvel, star wars etc. They are scared of losing the access. 3 is so accurate. It’s a shame the JW movies have ruined the name of the franchise because there’s actually a show on Netflix called Camp Cretaceous that’s really good. It’s based at the same time as Jurassic World and follows some kids that are left behind on the island. The characters are great and it shows that the magic of Jurassic Park isn’t dead, it was just placed in the wrong hands
I will stand that I want to see at least one more installment of this franchise... But as a video game. Don't make a movie, just make a solid, back-to-basics survival horror (or action horror, I'm not picky) video game with good gameplay, decent characters, and an awesome atmosphere.
