VERY SERIOUS QUESTION: did you order your predator helmet, stretched swing arm and 300 tire yet?!! 😂 Congrats on 1mil! We’ve been waiting for this series!!
I agree with Yammie. The Hayabusa is the Supra of the bike world. I have a Gen2 and I had a Supra. Both machines have this magic, otherworldly, super hero quality. They make you feel safe and thrilled at the same time. Somehow the machines are larger than life.
You're making me want a turbo bike man. Maybe a turbo busa. I can feel the rush just watching. You're gonna drive up the price of these Hyabusas with your videos man. Can't wait to see it completed!
Might be worth getting a turbo timer on the bike. I have one for my car and since its purpose is to jump on, yeet into the sun and get off it, 20 seconds to a minute of idle with a timer when you turn it off will help the cooler oil get round the system and not keep hot oil in the turbo and whatnot. Just helps regulate temps at the very end :)
My favorite part of the Busa saga is that you fall more and more in love with the Busa spirit as you ride and modify it. You can't help but love this bike and what it is, unapologetically.
I had the same problem with my 08 Busa. Here's what I found out. Get a flashlight a pencil or wood dowel, fire the engine up and get it to operating temperature, if the temperature needle climbs past the 3/4 mark the cooling fan should should come on, if it doesn't take the pencil and push on the edge of the fan with the eraser side and the fan should come on. If it doesn't the fan motor is probably bad. You can check the connector with a test light to be sure. Mine was bad from the first 100 miles and the dealer said they couldn't find a problem so I fixed it myself. Anyway if you are in traffic and don't hear the fan running when the gauge needle nears the upper range shut the bike off until you can get the bike up to a constant speed to get air across the radiator. I've read a lot of problems with the Busa overheating and I believe 90% of the time its a bad spot on the fan motor. Good luck!
I swear this generation of Suzuki all have terrible cooling issues in south Texas. My 03 SV1000 has been through several radiators and needed a new fan assembly.
I love how Yam has went from a responsible, conscientious motorcyclist, who only rides fast on the track, to a straight up, squidded out, riding around with no fairings on his bike, "BUSA BOi" !!! I mean those busa boi's ain't born like that, the busa does it to'em !
How you felt when initially considering wide open'ing the busa in episode 2 is how I felt doing 20 MPH in a parking lot with my new bike yesterday lmao
GEN1 Hayabusa’s come with one radiator fan. Adding a second is relatively easy. Since you’re not overheating while the bike is moving that suggests it’s a fan issue. They barely stay cool stock. It’s awesome to watch you having fun with your bike and your enthusiasm is priceless!

You ever heard the boys say "it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast"? Yams proves that's fuckin wrong. Nothing is more fun than twisting the throttle and scaring the shit out of yourself lol.
But the saying isn’t “I’d rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike fast.”, it’s “I’d rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow.” soooo this doesn’t really apply to that, since basically anytime you crack the throttle you’re moving fast.
@@BlackMountainCycles yes that is the full saying. Yammi proves that is wrong because 250s aren't exciting. Cracking the throttle 30% and feeling the torque and hellish speed increase is fun. Even if that speed is only up to 60mph... I'd guess that the cooling that the engine gets from the oil is not inconsequential, so removing the oil cooler is going to seriously impact the stationary cooling.
