I was moderately impressed by the bag ,It is semi rigid and can be used as a back rest it appears to mount snugly on the seat and not too big to be portable.
So $160 for a higher quality useful item may be O.K.

If you follow the crumbs these mods are mostly used by middle-aged or older men, they're just trying to milk them... Most people who are in their 20s 30s know these plastic crappy things are made for like 5-10$max in HongKong and Xingjiang

@@boracay12 I got a clip on visor for my dad's bike on a certain shopping platform *cough*wish*cough* for 26 bucks. Fully adjustable with billet mountings. Top quality. I think that's fair.

had my seat refoamed on my 1200rt by aztech seats in gas city indiana. best 100 buck ever spent. 16 hour days no problem

The crampbuster (or throttle rocker) is almost a necessity for me on any highway trips. I didn't realize how 'handy' it was until I borrowed a bike without one.

The cramp buster is TOTALLY worth the money. If y'all don't have one, get one. Just make sure it doesn't pinch the rubber at the end of your throttle grip against your bar ends otherwise your throttle will stick open. Once you have it set up correctly though it's perfect
^this. Perfect little thing for long rides that doesn't even get in the way. Wait, you think it DOES get in the way on your short commuter rides? Well then take the 4.5 seconds to pull it off and you're good to go!
I have been using one of these "full time" on my bike since the day I purchased the bike. Highway, City, back roads, it does not matter, because it does not get in the way of operation when it isn't being used. Super inexpensive way to assist with throttle wrist fatigue issues with a super easy installation.
Tried one out, it's nice, but the throttle locks have this thing beat. Yeah I know, dangerous and stuff. So is riding a motorcycle. I did an 800 mile day mostly on motorways and it was a godsend.
do those throttle locks still exist? I thought of them more as a 70s thing. Aftermarket or official part?

There are many other styles or brands available, I've even seen people 3D print them and you can also use a stiff enough cable lock.
For those with $20 to spend on a road trip cut an old life jacket and gorilla tape the closed cell foam onto your seat so it's wider and has a long groove for your tailbone (coast to coast to coast and it's still there making 1000 km days on a DR650 dual sport possible) oh and buy a bag of earplugs.
That would definitely be my way of doing things. Every time I look at motorcycle accessories the first thing that comes to mind after looking at the price is how I could build it myself. Windshield riser? Some clear acrylic cut to shape then heated up with a heat gun over some moderately curved surface and some 3d printed clamps. Seat? A bit of recycled foam with a cover over it. Highway pegs? Some plumbing parts and some tube clamps.
The amount of money they charge for some plastic is just plain silly.

to stop Saddle Numbness I folded a single Airbed on to the Bike's Seat and Bungeed in in place.......sat on the Bike with the Airbed Delated...then slowly added air ...until there was just enough to give support........no more saddle soreness .
+1 on those earplugs! And once I passed 50, I found taking a pain reliever (I use Alleve) before a long riding day makes a huge difference.

@@bachmed00 Yep...but they did not make it in 1975......a '75 Goldwing had the ability for Riding long distances way back then......and a '75 or any of the later ones are relatively inexpensive.

Australian sheep skin works awesome for the seat. Nice and cool, cushion-y, cheaper, weather proof (with proper care), and you can have it made into a custom seat cover for a perfect fit.

Apart from the throttle assist, these were all soo expensive for what they may offer D: Best comfort advise I'd give would be proper suspension (tuned) and curvy roads that never stop amazing!
Jim Doe lol, good tuned suspension will cost 2x ally of these things combined.
All these things together cost a good 800$ combined, you can definitely get a (tuned) suspension upgrade for that money. It won't be ohlins but it'll be much better than standard untuned.

4:55 The Airhawk seat pad is good also. I purchased one from Canada's Motorcycle (Fort Nine's predecessor) for 220$. A tad expensive for what it is. However, it Works. Blow a bit of air (less is more... Do Not Overfill) into the bladders and you'll have hours of comfy riding.
The real lesson here is that motorcycle accessories are way overpriced. They're really trying to milk that mid-life-crisis money.

Actually, this is a little true but also false. This video is meant to be about luxurious accessories, not your normal ones. You can't use this to judge most accessories.
Like that bag was unnecessarily fancy and pricey. A top case with rack will cost more, but be stronger, have a back rest, have as much storage as you choose to buy, and the rack can be used for other things. Just get a cheaper bag for the go that fits your needs.
The gel cushion is over priced and the company is basically an expensive knock off of the much cheaper Airhawk, who are the standard in air pads.
The grip accessory is only $12.
Must expensive accessories are because the sales are low due to low USA ridership.

Most of those items are available for much less directly from China. I paid $30 for screen and $24 for bar risers.
Considering you can get a good motorcycle for way less than $7,000 entry level and the raw cost of most of these is less than $5 yeah looks like a space ripe for competition on price point.

A couple things I've used on all my bikes is a throttle lock (no crap buster for me) which is so nice out on the open road. Just set your speed and lock it. You can still adjust the throttle if need be, so you can quit annoying those who follow you with their cruise control on. You'll maintain a steady speed instead of speeding up and slowing down as I've noticed while following bikes on the road. It's hard to maintain a steady speed unless you're constantly looking at the speedometer. Another mod is to cut down about 1" of the harder foam out of your seat and put a layer of memory foam in place of it. That will make long trips so much more comfortable on your butt.
I went out and bought the cramp buster after this video and you were right it significantly improved my hand/arthritis issue.

Another great video Ryan, thanks! I started using Grip Puppies a few years ago and the really helped reducing vibration and aching in my hands.
I use an Airhawk cushion for long stints in the saddle....a lot cheaper than the Wild ASS product, though the straps were rather thin and tore out after a couple years of use (had better ones sown on)

Yup, just rode 12800 miles from Florida to Alaska and back on an FJ-09. Had the cramp buster and highway pegs but also grip puppies on heated grips and a simple throttle lock. A purpose designed (sport) touring windshield is a must in my humble opinion. All in all comfy enough to want to do it again!

Cramp buster is the best addon I ever installed on my bike. I go for 700-800 km per day on vacation and this small gadget is a life savior.
Love how even the salesman seems to have sticker shock over the prices of this stuff. Motorcycling is one of those things that can be pretty much as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. I guess touring stuff is mostly focused on the wealthier retirees and mid-life-crisis folks, opposite of commuting stuff that is targeted at those too cheap to put gas in their car.

Alaska Leather makes several sheepskin seat pad options for a lot less than the wild ass air gel pad. I bought their cheapest one ($60) several years and thousands of miles ago. It's been great. It's comfy, thin, breathable, surprisingly water-resistant, and doesn't get hot even when parked in direct sunlight. My dad got an air pad for his bike, but didn't like it at all.

The plastic throttle lever works Very well indeed. I used it for an 800 miles weekend on a RSV1000 and once in the right place, at the right angle, it takes a few miles to adjust to having it but it's brilliant.

+1 The ones I've been buying fade quickly due to direct sunlight. I should replace them every two years but live in a high-ish crime area and don't want to attract extra attention to my ride. A better cover that lasted longer would solve both problems.
For the seat we use a small 10" tyre tube inflated as required. Some people have even made cushions into which the tube fits. A much cheaper option.
