Sure but think about sand bending. Just float a few pieces of sand in the air and put it in there eyes boom you win. They won’t even see it coming cause it’s so small.
the live action did a great job showing how threaten the elements can be korra did too, but ATLA..........it was iffy they did show burns but when they got hit with an attack the damage output was weak it felt tone down since it's a kid show, the main reason i felt the show wasnt all that serious, tbh earth benders should had been the threat since they can really make you fall down a bottomless pit, waterbenders also had some moves imagine drinking some water then a waterbending freeze it or make you drown off it........the combat writing and creativity was weak in this series
