@@STARK0181: Well for starters, till this day, I never agree with Aang ending up with Katara. Katara should have ended up with Zuko, and pretty much the whole fandom agrees with this statement. The other than Azula needed a Redemption Arc, and I’ve believe that Aang may have had some “relatable” qualities. 😉

Plus I would imagine Zuko wouldn't of been considered as a potential ship by many until much later.

I'm not gonna lie. I kind of like this ending for the show. Especially the fact that the feelings were mutual between the 2 characters in this conversation the love was there. They just didn't know how to actually put it out. And I'm not gonna lie, especially reading the epilog of Avatar. The last hair benderwhere apparently azula, becomes way more crazier than usual to the point of child abduction.Yeah, she was going down a really bad road.All the way to death
I also think it’s sort funny that Sozin was the one who led the attack on the air Enders almost wiping them out and here comes Azula having kids with the Last Airbender! 😂

I don't really see her falling in love with Aang during the show because Azula is on the peak of her power and pride. But after the show, in the comics where she hit rock bottom and has to face her inner demons I could imagine a relationship between them because the spiritual Airbender Aang who would give everyone a second chance would be the ideal person to teach her how to find balance and inner peace. In this scenario he could be someone she can look up to and admire him.

In a different timeline I definitely see that happening. If you think about deeply it kind makes sense. A happy ending for Azúla. I mean she's pretty and smart. Who wouldn't fall in love with her especially her patients to calculate attacks. That's what I loved about her, her intellect was superior in so many ways. Better than the original thing. I think it would've been better if they went with that route in the show. Would've been more interesting. Deep Story telling right there.
my theory on why azula wants to capture avatar aang is that she was looking for the most suitable mate because she wanted most powerful children. azula marrying aang is like ozai marrying ursa

I think the major events of LOK would mostly be similar. The circumstances and character dynamics surrounding those events would be different.
Man what a missed opportunity
Well... In my course of thought it sounds more realistic and makes some sense to me and I mean think about it for a second; Aang who is a hero is trying to save the world, working hard to defeat a Dictator and also fighting his emotions for the princess who's his enemy. Azula who works with a Dictator of a father, fighting for her emotions and mind, plus she has to make a choice between her Destiny of royalty or the person she love. For that, it brings out a Romeo and Juliet kind of Vibe mixed in with some Batman x Catwoman Formula along with the main storyline of save the world from a Tyrant. Makes the story sound good and have a happy ending for not only "Team Avatar", for also for Azula too who also needed someone to save and help her too. Unlike her Main Counterpart who didn't get any help from anyone in her timeline. But that's my opinion of this Alta universe (A.U) of Avatar:The Last airbender.
The fandon hates the shio because they hate Azula. But what they tend to forget is that Azula is only 14 and shes never had anyone who really loved her unconditionally. Even, her own mother admits that she didntvlove her enough. Thats ROOOUUGH.

Honestly, hands down beats half the “modern audience” stories out there.
I really really like this concept
this is very well thought out. i love how people can take this and spin it so subtly and make it make sense. Azula not understanding how to love would add an extra weight to her and make her even more compelling. although there is still one problem with aang. One thing i notice with airbenders is the consistence with bondage. when they choose a bison its a lifetime bond, i can't remember if there are other references to that but i think the trope is once aang set his eyes on katara he would continue to pursue or die alone

If aang dated azula the 4 nations would end up united in harmony, Corruption and internal strife would be pretty much solved and aang would make for a really popular king. Azula would understand she is actually completely perfect, Aang would help heal her emotional trauma and for Azula would be child game fix all aang mess ups, she may even doing it with fun. Aang would admire Azula discipline and sense of responsibility and Azula would admire Aang ease around people and likability. They really compatible (more than aang and katara) and having korra next would feel like a real dinasty continuity on a prosperous united world.

1) She's too accepting of her feelings (if she'd even be able to recognise them in the first place) whiles in character, she would try to reject it as the Avatar is her father's enemy amd therefore HER enemy as well.
2) If she ever got to the point where she realises she likes Aang, then it still *SHOULDN'T* be smooth sailing from there on. Cuz A)Her moral compas is Royally F*cked. And B)Given her personality, shed see the relationship as something that'd give her control over Aang whose in her eyes would more than likely supposed to just give her unconditional love (or in Azula's case, Obideance)
And finally 3) the literal basis of this relationship was "Love at first sight" again. Which worked with Aang and Katara, but it can't necessarily work on enemies turned lovers. You can't just meet someone and go:
"Oh, I see you're beating up my ppl, pls marry me bcuz I think I love you even tho Idk anything about you and our values are probably opposites bcuz of our respective sides in the conflict"😂🤣😂

I can see this happening in another timeline. Aang wasn’t able to talk to girls when he was young. Meeting the first girl made him like the girl more. Katara was the first girl to fall in love with. If Aang met Azula first, then it’ll happen. Azula would have her mother traits. So in that timeline Azula would be considered good. Not evil.
