He certainly would've been spared a tremendous amount of heartache especially if and when Hinata made her reasons for her feelings apparent. In either case Hinata and Naruto is for the best. They truly understand each other on a human basis while Hinata loving him for the flawed humble human being that he is is truly the icing on the cake.
Some what ifs i think would be cool are.
1. what if Naruto left the village and rebuilt Uzu.
2. What if Hiashi disowned Hinata
3. What if Sakura was a Senju
4. What if Sakura had Ice Release
5. What if Naruto had a Keyblade
6. What if Killer B raised Naruto
7. What if Naruto never graduated, like maybe he becomes like a ronin or something
2. hinata is going to be branded with a curse seal caged bird and being banished from the hyuga clan and no longer welcome to the compound. She would live with naruto's place and later she and naruto would grew up together and placed on team 7 with sasuke and kakashi

IF youd like a cool isekai of Naruto in the atla universe, Onokage has a really cool story of it. he hasnt finished it yet, I believe he serves in the military so hes busy, but i highly recommend it. Characters are all really well written as themselves.

22:19 I could see scenes where Naruto talks to the Nine tails more and what not. Hinata understands how it feels to be alone and not seen while always watching someone. Relate to the fox a bit.
